Good morning. We were 6 this morning and to go 33°with partly cloudy skies. Weather has changed again and looks like Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be without storm. I had planned on working Friday but am leaning toward working Saturday and Sunday and I can knock off 2 big 3 1/2 jobs one each day. That would take a little of the pressure off. The following week is showing no storms so may work a lot of days and get some more of the big jobs done as well as the work for that week. I will be on the road all day today. Depending on how things go I may cut one 1 1/2 hour job at my one store north of me. It isn't due until a week from Friday so will see what time I get back home whether I keep going in the other direction or not.
Have a great day,
Bet

Good morning all! 50° and cloudy. We did have sun two days in a row. This coming week temps are going to get warm again. I'm looking forward to it. In spite of the weather, my ds and dbil are enjoying their visit. Of course, to them, the weather is balmy. When the wind stops, it can be rather nice. One more day, then they leave tomorrow to continue their vacation.
Bet, safe travels, I. admire your ambition and dedication. Hope you accomplish everything that you set out to do.
Have a great weekend all!

Good morning. 19 headed to 25. Will feel balmy out there. Lol
Yesterday we did some house chores. Got all my seeds sorted. I tossed a TON of old seeds and placed my baker creek order. Played a game with both dds. Hung out and watched football. A fairly relaxing day.
Today I have to work from 9-11 doing a training for new screeeners. We got a $2.50/hr raise so that is nice. I will take some credit for that as I pushed for it since the district raised the sub pay rate this year but not ours. Many of our screeners also sub and there wasn’t much incentive for them to take our job. Once I get home from that dd requested I make banana bread. I also have to pin her dress for a formal dance that is coming up. The straps are too long so I will hand sew those shorter.
Wendy-Glad you are enjoying your visit.
Mary-I saw a bunch of videos of the storm damage in Portland. Some crazy images.
Well I should drink my 2nd cup of coffee and then get ready for the day. Have a good day.

A quick good morning. DS will be here in about 20 minutes and then he will switch to my car and we'll head to Charleston. Not sure if we will make the aquarium. It is quite pricey for people with limited funds. It's been many years since I've been and would hope they have a good bit more than what they did then for what they charge. We are both tapped out from Christmas and just don't know if it would be worth it. We'll see how the day goes and play it by ear I guess.
Sorry to ready about Birdy.

Great meme Charlene. The sun reminded me that temps will reach a balmy 35º today and will stay until next week. I didn't do much (make that nothing) after church yesterday except to read and watch Everwood. Bet safe travels for you as you are on the road. Wendy, enjoy your company. Melissa, training for new screeners can be a challenge. There are not a lot of people in my community who have the time to do screening. Most work full time jobs elsewhere. Leslie, sure hope you can enjoy the aquarium. Things change every year. Yuck Dave on your weather. Marlene

![6277](//storage.proboards.com/6578076/images/MpbNPHCxgNtlgjSeoELL.gif) It is cloudy and chilly, but not overly cold. We may get some snow flurries today. Tonight into tomorrow, though, is going to be messy. Freezing rain will start tonight and continue into the morning tomorrow. Eventually, it will warm up and be plain rain. Seems like it is always something with winter weather, doesn't it? We are to warm up a little later in the week and be above normal, so I'm holding onto hope until then. I slept so soundly last night and didn't even need any PM medication to ensure that. Yesterday clearly took a lot out of me. After church, I continued to bake cookies for both DSis and DBIL's visit and the retreat meeting last night. I figured need cookies twice, bake 'em once. We had a really nice visit with DSis and her DH. They came and stayed for 4 hours. I wasn't really anticipating that, so it was good I got the baking done before they came. Also good was how much DH enjoyed their company. Of all my siblings, these two allow him to be himself most comfortably ... as in express his political views without argument or judgement. Politics are as much a part of him as movies, so they are what he talks about the most. He thanked them for spending time talking with him and allowing him to talk out the things that are in his head. The visit did afford him the opportunity to stretch his brain and think harder than he usually has to. I need to remember that. DBIL was able to take care of my jammed junk drawer "easily". Thank God for that! It wasn't easy for him to get down on the floor and do what needed to be done, but he did it. Maybe simple was a better word for what he did. The retreat meeting went well. Good food, as always. They were begging for more soups so there'd be enough on Friday night. I resisted the temptation to offer. Others did offer. I have all I can handle on my plate right now even if I had someone help me transport the soup. As it is, I probably need to solicit people to either call DH like last year while I was gone or come visit him since he really enjoyed yesterday and having company so much. Last night when I was talking with my pastor/friend, he suggested for my own sake I look into having people do things with DH to give me a break. His DM had dementia so he knows a thing or two about navigating this world. I'd forgotten about reaching out for breaks. I need to figure out something. DH is a people person and having him interact with others helps us both. Walmart texted me and said DH's insulin is ready. I think I best get my butt out and get that while the getting is good. I'm confused as to why it will be $70 but will discuss that when I get there. Sounds like they doubled up the order. If it will last a long enough time, I will take it all so I don't have to go back out in February or March. It may be a happy accident? Anyway, wishing everyone a marvelous Monday! See ya all later.

Good morning.
Wendy- glad you are enjoying your company. For this being the sunniest city in the States we are having another cloudy day and it's only 61°. We are expecting more rain.
I straightened out the freezer this morning so my hands are so cold.
Bet- I hope work goes smoothly.
Leslie- I hope you are able to do the aquarium. Just have fun on whatever you do.
Melissa- glad you got a raise. I also watched football yesterday.
Marlene- sounds like a nice relaxing day you had yesterday.
Dave- hope you don't have to travel.
Karen - sounds like you had a nice visit yesterday.

Good morning, everyone, its 53°, cloudy with 78% humidity and after seeing, snow and ice this past week our forecast today is calling for us to hover around 50 degrees for our high with rain showers at times.
With warmer temps and rain over the weekend we were able to get out of our driveway for the first time in over a week. We went to church and stopped and did some grocery shopping on the way home.
This morning I am only seeing a few spots of ice around my yard and I was able to cleanup Precious messes in the yard.
My SIL was able to go home from the hospital yesterday.
Melissa, the videos of storm damage have been something else. It’s going to take time for the Metro area to get back to normal after the ice storm. Many streets across the city are still closed due to downed trees. Schools are reopening this morning aside from a few still facing damage from the storms.
I am thinking of Birdy this morning. Believe she would enjoy the stories of my Anna’s hummingbirds. Especially how amazing it was in out winter ice storm to have one hummingbird fly up and feed on a feeder I was holding.

Good afternoon,
It's sunny but chilly; in the 30s
I had a few errands to run this morning after I finished my "start of the day"chores. And didn't get back home until a couple of hrs ago.
Put groceries away, had lunch & piddled around since then.
The tree that fell last month was right at what I consider the entrance to my back yard. With the big daylily bed in front of it going toward the street along the length of my garage. A smaller tree bed was on the back side with Lilies & Coneflowers. I'm trying to think of something to keep the 2 beds separated after the stump is gone. BTW, I see Daffs coming up in that tree bed.
Last night I was thinking I could put the wooden well from the back yard right where the tree was. Repair what needs to be repaired on it & then put a large colorful ceramic saucer in it for a new bird bath. Looking at the well this morning, it's too damaged from the tree to do that. I don't know what I'm going to do with it. If I had enough sun I would just plant some MGs in it & let them take over. But I don't think that corner of the yard will have much more sun than it did before. Even with the big tree gone, it is still at the edge of the woods.
Plan B is a new birdbath. One big enough not to look lost between those 2 beds that won't cost an arm & a leg. Maybe a fountain type like I had in the front yard several yrs ago.
Do you remember this one? The birds loved it.
And wow, does that area look totally different 14 yrs. later. I still have those little ducks. They are in the back yard now.
And I now have a problem with an Amazon order. In early Nov. I ordered a pole lamp & it has never arrived. I checked some time ago & it said it was delayed. Now it says lost or possibly never sent. I have to contact the seller for a refund if I want one, so just got through doing that. Then if no response in 10 days go back to Amazon to see if I qualify for a refund through them. I should qualify for a refund from somebody. Oh well, life goes on. But companies seem to think we have money to throw away.
I got another e-mail from ROFO's collection dept. about the $41 with a little form to print out & send back .Multiple choice questions--- which my choice was "Not my debt". Sent it back along with a copy of the bank's dispute form. It also made mention in the e-mail that if this charge was denied because of insufficient funds (which it was not) I would be charged a $50 fee. That brought on a call to them to let them know that was definitely not the case & another message on the website for Royal Farms. Then a call to my bank which assured me they wouldn't be able to do that because of the dispute. I asked what if they insist I owe this. Answer was they would have to prove that I got $41 worth of gas. I don't see any way they can do that. Last step would be for me to file a police report for a fraudulent charge!!! All this sh-- for $41.36 is ridiculous. After 20yr of being a customer.
That's it for today. My BP is rising. LOL Hope everybody had a good day.
Melissa, is your MIL back in rehab now?

The warming trend has started for us as we were up to 25 this morning and should make 30 later on but with that will come some snow. It will be what it will be. Today my plan is to get everything moved in the utility room that needs to be moved - the rest of the place will be looking messy this week but we have no choice. Hubby will be out all morning at the curling club, working on the ice first thing and then curling then this afternoon he has a physio appointment and a golf club meeting - and this is retirement???
It's just started snowing again, not a lot, those tiny little flakes!
I made a batch of raspberry lemon marmalade this morning - not bad 😋 . Then I got into clearing out the utility room. We have ordered new cupboards for it. What was in there was old and beat up. One wall was all shelving which in itself is fine but it was badly put together and we decided to just redo the whole thing. So the cupboards are supposed to be coming on Wednesday and hopefully everything, including counter top will be all finished the following day. Not everything needs to come out but the guys do need enough room to be able to work. Most that is coming out from there is already out and stashed away, but as I said to hubby, don't ask me where a particular thing is because I really couldn't tell you. That's pretty much been my day other than a walk to the bank after lunch.
