Good Morning, Welcome Sara to the Midwest, I'm from Michigan, Come again.
Well the sun is shinning bright, I closed the windows on the sunporch last night thinking we were to get rain, guess not. Its 70* and going to a high of 87* and yes the humidity will be high again. No plans yet for this day, will be in the house most of the time, I need to empty the wheelbarrow that's full of weeds, and I can start all over again and fill it. Yesterday I was busy in the house did a lot of cleaning, then about 3 I went and picked up Gage and he cut the front. I did a couple of pass's in the back yard and Ray mowed the ditch in front. He cleaned the mowed deck and I hauled away the dead grass, so the mower is ready to go again. Ray always cleans the under deck, as we cut so much grass, it cuts so much better when its clean.
Mary, Yes I know the sheds are new and beautiful, and you said had puchers so therefore need some work done on them. I so have enjoyed the Olympics this year, I like so much of it, hard to watch it all. My goldfinches haven't left, but should be nesting soon if not already.
Lair Good news on friends helping Tim out, he will be in good hands. I hope he takes Andy up on the offer or Dad. Yes I can't wait for cooler weather, just not fall yet.
Anglea How are you doing today?
Sara, Again welcome to the board. Tell us more about yourself, like where are you from?
Maryin Mi. So when is your sale? So much work, I do hope you sell a lot of stuff.
gkids, My computer time is in the morning, I have tried to change but just can't seem to. Not on line a lot after morning. Its a good time to clean the basement when its H&H.
Jan, Wow that's a lot of mice to catch in one month and in the car. I bet with feeding the cattle you have a lot of mice. I know my daughter does with her horse feed, even with it cover and in a metal trash can, the mice are around. Did Allen listen to you and did no buying, I know Ray doesn't listen.
Well I guess time to drink some coffee and go out and MT the wheelbarrow and see what I can do before it gets hot. I will be MIA tomorrow, going to Michigan State which is in Lansing and watch Kaylee do a big horse show, all from around the state. I will be leaving around 7:30 and planning on being gone all day.
Have a great day

Morning. Supposed to be another one of those h&h days again with some rain/storms off and on today. We weren't supposed to get any rain last night but around 9 we heard thunder and saw some lightning and then the rain came down. Hubby hasn't been out yet to see how much we got. Today is our "lunch date" day. This started many many years ago when we were both working but were lucky enough to have Fridays off so we'd go out to lunch and it's continued even though we're not working any more. Went out late afternoon yesterday and watered the hanging baskets, dead headed the roses and gave the birds some more fresh cold water. The weeds are doing great but it was just too hot to stay out there and work, unfortunately they will wait for me. Mary/Mi I see you found out how to post pics. Lovely flower. I just haven't bothered to take the time to really fool with that, probably more this fall. Haven't been taking a lot of pics either because it's just too hot to be out with the camera. Carol have a safe trip tomorrow and best wishes to Kaylee at the show. Welcome Sara, stop in again. Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning and good news. I don't have much to say today! That being said it doesn't mean this will be short. Our forecast is for upper 80's today and lots of humidity. They are wrong again because we have 68* and so far we have had 2 showers this morning and I see by radar one more coming. Last night I sat here with the A/C on and noticed it was dark a little early. I checked the radar and we had a huge storm coming right at us. It dropped 16* in less than an hour and we got 1" of rain with a little wind but no damage. Was a good night for sleeping with the cooler air. This afternoon we are to get thunder storms lasting until noon tomorrow. We will see what happens if they are right this time. The next 7 days are to be below average temps. Yesterday I was on here most of the day. Besides my fat lip I had a very small scratch on my leg. About 10 I was walking through the kitchen when I slipped and fell. No damage but I found that scratch was leaking a clear fluid, running down my leg and made my flip-flop wet. It leaked all day so I sat with my leg elevated and couldn't do anything. Perfect excuse for doing nothing all day. Now today I have to take it easy so it won't leak again. So it looks like I will be on here a lot today again.
Carol, you have a great time at the fair. I hope your weather is good for being out and about. Will Ray be going with you or just you? I hope you don't go alone.
Gkids3, sounds like you got the same surprise storm we did last night. Ours came in around 7:30 for about an hour. I am so glad we got the rain since I needed to water but when I went out yesterday I couldn't get my breath and had to come back in. Nice tradition having Friday lunch together. Enjoy your day.
Mary in MI. I didn't see it yet but glad you got a picture posted. You just got a lot done yesterday with the posting, labeling for the sale, and posting a picture. I am enjoying having you back on board. You were gone too long. Jan, I have never heard of having a mouse in your car. We had a possum in a car once but we know how it got there. We had a new 62 Ford Galaxie, top of the line, and my Mother ran over the possum and put it in the trunk thinking it was dead. The next morning when she went to take it out the damage was unbelievable. It had dug through the back seat and then clawed at every door plus the dash trying to get out. It took almost a month for the dealer to repair all the upholstery. The wires in the dash never were right after that. Very few of the switches or lights worked. Do you park your car outside or in a garage?
Angela, I see we have a different view of you today. What was wrong with the other one? I liked seeing your smiling face even with the sunglasses. Charlene says I need to get a new avatar with a smile. Little does she know I don't smile anymore. Anytime they bring out a camera it always turns out bad and I have lots of pictures to prove it. Sara, welcome to the board. I am glad you like my posts. Enjoy them now because they get boring real soon. My life is about the same. Tell us a little about yourself and stop by more often! I mean it! I need all the admirers I can get. Mary Bwatcher, I checked and you are always on the members list when I check. Remember that there is only ONE of you and you can't be everywhere. lol Are you out to do damage to the weed population today? Did you get much rain last night or did the storm miss you? Leroy, I did notice you were on earlier but didn't wee that you posted. You must be working early today. I hope you have cooler temps. Grace, did you get any rain last night. You sure had a busy day yestrday. What's planned for today? Snow, Sandy, Janet, Retteacher & Alma. I hope you are all doing well and check in soon. Have a GREAT day everyone.

Good morning all There is a nice breeze going thru the house right now. I opened the patio door on the south side of the house and the one window on the north side & it feels nice. Airing the place out before I have to close it up again later.
Last night was interesting a little after 8. There was this huge black cloud approaching from the north but you could still see a pretty pink and blue section between it and the western horizon. Then that black cloud come unzipped & rained like a pig. It looks like we got just under an inch and a half of rain overnight.
Then about 9 during the downpour, oldest daughter calls that he car quit over on highway 20. Why she couldn't call her 'moron' of a husband is beyond us. She will have to get used to calling 'moron' down the road if Allen is unable to run to her aid. I know he wasn't real thrilled about going out last night. Grow up girl--daddy isn't going to be around forever for you.
Carol--yep, Allen listened and didn't bring anything home. But he was giving me a rough time about buying me a 140-lb Jersey calf that sold for over $3.00 a lb. I'd just give the 'glare' of y9ou can't be that stupid. He is friends with a cattle buyer/reseller & after a while would say 'would Kevin like to buy about 20 head? (meaning sell he rest of ours) Allen would turn that around into buying 20 more Jerseys & get 'the glare' in return. Enough of that b/s
Well I should get some breakfast as my blood sugar was a bit low this am. So you all have a good day
Jan
p.s. Lair the 'mousemobile' was always parked in the garage. I have not see any signs of mouse activity in the Subaru tho--hopefully they can't figure out how to get in.
