Welcome to our Friday picture thread. Each of you are invited to post the picture or pictures of your choice.
Since I dislike winter so much I thought I would go ahead and skip fall and even winter this year and go straight back into spring with these crocus.

Steve, those are very pretty crocus. One last picture of my Magic Lilies before the Excessive Heat does them in; High temp today was 99°, and Friday and Saturday high temps are expected to soar into the low triple digits. White Campanula or Bellflower

Steve...lovely crocus. They are always the 1st sign of life here in the Spring. Mary...our lilies like that are already fading. I think it is a combination of the heat and bad storms with winds and heavy rain beating them up. LOVE those white Campanula! I wanted to share this for Kathy to see. These Heliopsis are doing great in complete shade! The only sun they get is dappled sun through the trees about 9 AM when this picture was taken. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cranberry Delight Cosmos +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Autumn Amaranthus
++++++++++++++++

Steve-I'm enjoying the cool spring breeze from your pic! lol Mary-Those magic lilys are sure pretty. I hope my purple bellflowers look that good someday. Charlene -That double cosmo is really nice. I'm surprised to see how well those heliopsis grew in the shade. I can only get hostas and ferns to grow in my shade its so deep. Even the stuff along the driveway that gets a couple hours of afternoon sun doesn't grow. My joe pye is about 2' tall there. This is a 13 lined ground squirrel from SW MN. This is what the MN golden gophers were named after. We laughed about that piece of trivia since they are our rivals in hockey and now we have a new name for them!! Go Bulldogs! I bought these glads at the dollar tree. I bought a bag of purple and a bag of yellow!! lol These are prettier anyway!

Melissa....LOVE that glad...much prettier than a plain yellow for sure! In our part of the country we call those animals Streaked Gophers (pronounced stree' kud). Our DGS traps them at our ball diamond. I will tell you how sometime when we talk. Gitti...those look like the Harlequin border dahlias...love them! Glad you are having good luck posting pictures now. Charlene

MaryinMichigan placed this in Thursday's picture thread by accident, so I am trying to post it here...if it doesn't work, go to that thread and see it...gorgeous! Mary this is certainly rosemaling technique...do you have training in that or just picked up how to do it? This is a barn quilt she made for her niece named Sharon. The pattern is called Rose of Sharon

The flower pictures just take my breath away. honestly sometimes I justgasp!
Charline you are a dear to repost my barn quilt to this thread!! Back in the 70's I took some classes in country painting. You knw, strawberries and daisies.Bird houses. LOL But I kept all of my brushes so they came in handy for the barn quilts. They are easy to paint.
I remember that you have a daughter that paints on glass. Do you ever show her beautiful work? I would love to see some again. Mary

Marnee... Thats some just plain beautiful flowers. Those white campanulas are just plain gorgeous.
Charlene... Of course all your flowers are beautiful. I really like that cranberry cosmos. Think I may try some cosmos next year.
Melissa... Good picture of the critter that I've never saw before. Those glads are beautiful. I'm sure your enjoying those beauties.
Gitti... Those are some pretty dahlias. Mine didn't do good this year. I let people talk me into leaving them in the ground last winter and this year they didn't come back. Guess next time I'll go with what I know is right.
MaryinMichigan... That is a beautiful barn quilt. You must be talented to do such a great job............Also want to welcome you to our picture thread and hope you'll jump in anytime and even become one of our regulars.
Marg... Glad you were able to enjoy these nice pictures today.
Linda... Your bluebeard flowers are really pretty. You don't see a lot of blue colored flowers.
Thanks everyone for these great pictures and comments today. This weekend Charlene will have a great picture thread for us and we'll be back on Monday to resume this thread. Have a great weekend.
