Apple Pork Chops and Stuffing-cooktocook Serves:4
I have been making this for a good 20 years--a family favorite. With just a few items, you can make a delicious Fall/Winter meal--Lori.
Ingredients: 4 boneless pork chops (I use bone-in chops) 1 pkg. of your favorite stuffing mix 1 21-oz. can of apple pie filling salt and pepper
Directions: 1--Heat oven to 375*F. 2--Spray the bottom only of a 9X13-inch baking dish; spread pie filling on the bottom of the pan. 3--Prepare stuffing mix; cover and set aside. 4--Salt and pepper chops. Brown chops on stove top, if desired, but not necessary. Place chops and stuffing over the pie filling. Cover and bake 30-35 minutes, uncovering for the last 5 minutes.
Notes: I like my pork chops with a little color to them, so I brown them on the stove top before baking. Although the original recipe doesn't call for that step, I personally do think it makes a difference.
