MACARONI PUDDING-Tammy 3 C. elbow macaroni ¼ c. butter ¼ c. flour 2 ¼ c. milk ½ t. salt Dash black pepper 3 c. shredded sharp cheddar Prepare pasta as directed on package. Drain Set aside. While it is cooking, in a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour. Add milk and seasonings. Cook and stir, over medium heat, until thickened. Place 1/3 of pasta in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. Top with 1 c. cheese. Repeat layers. Pour sauce over all. Top with remaining cheese. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes at 400*. Serves 8 *I’m sure I use way more cheese than 3 c. ! Sometimes I will double the sauce to make it extra creamy. I ALWAYS double the sauce now days.
