Karen, I have a Worx battery operated weed wacker. Not sure in the difference in the weight over the Ryobi but I do know the battery on the Ryobi is much heavier than the Worx.

Karen, do you have to drag the cord around on your electric weed trimmer? If so, definitely look into a re-chargable one. I have used those for years & right now I have a Black& Decker. You pop the empty spool out & put a new one in. No re-winding of line necessary.
Take a picture of your bouquet for us.

I have a light weight Worx weed trimmer that I bought after Larry died. I love it! It has 2 battery packs and pop in and out spools so also no winding. Charlene

This is the Daylily I need to clear out of my bed. I like it, but it is completely taking over. There is one area where there must be 50 of them popping up. Even after digging about a dozen of them up this Spring.Whatever was there is gone. The one is this picture is a large clump that has taken over what was there originally.

I agree Charlene on the Worx. You get 6 spools for life time but do need to pay $10 shipping. I do wind my own.

Gayle, I love your Hydrangea Tree and I love the color of that Daylily. Charlene, your phlox flowers are gorgeous. Karen, beautiful flowers I especially like the pink rose and you did a really nice job on your cleanup project. Your bouquet is beautiful. Melissa, you have some beautiful dahlias. Now I can’t wait for the Annual Dahlia Festival with its rainbow of colors. Your Candy Floss Red Cosmo are gorgeous. My Salvia Plant. ![](https://scontent.fhio3-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/363793163_2019673741714092_7519455053016493027_n.jpg?_nc_cat=101&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=mQ7fEO0wyXMAX9VwjFt&_nc_ht=scontent.fhio3-1.fna&oh=00_AfBJFmFgkmdsoYAxuC2hU2B2zYDHhT4_iu7VzVNZ8t9asA&oe=64C9C4AA) Wish I would have gotten more bright red salvia as the hummingbirds seem to like it best.

I don't drag the extension cord around, but DH has had to in the past, Gayle. The last time he got it in his head he was going to trim, I did carry the cord around behind him because I was afraid he'd fall over it. I posted a pic of the bouquet. It is on page 3, I think. Your bloom looks like the one I rescued. I need to do something with my daylilies like this so I can make room for others. You all have done in a few hours what DH hasn't been able to convince me of in years - to get a new weed eater/whacker/trimmer thingy. I've been holding out because I really don't see myself being here for the long haul, but there is no sense in being miserable while I am, right? I may go to a few stores that might have the tools on display so I can see what would feel best for me since several people have brands they like the best for different reasons. Thanks for the ideas, ladies! Mary M., I really like your blue salvia. The hummers may like the red better, but I think the blue is so unique and beautiful. Love how you ringed the hummer in a heart!

Karen, I found the picture. The first time through it wasn't showing up for me. Looks good
I recommend WORX. I love their products. I am on my 2nd WORX mower & if I need a new weed trimmer at some point, it will be a WORX.

Karen-You probably can’t go wrong. I have the ryobi because we have many ryobi tools and had the batteries. The battery is bigger than the worx but the trimmer itself is super light and well balanced. My moms battery is smaller but her trimmer is heavier and less powerful. I buy the spools already full of string. Amazon offers them in their brand but compatible. 10 spools for $13, so cheap. Love my trimmer.

Also, what is the model on yours? I like the price on those spools!

Karen-Ryobi is home depots brand. I can weigh it for you if you want to know what it weighs. Its probably a little pricier than the worx.

Not necessary,, but thank you for the offer to weigh it, Melissa. No wonder when I searched for Ryobi products at Menard's they didn't have anything. LOL! I can check things out at Home Depot.

I wonder if Ryobi being HD's "brand" is a recent development? I was surprised to see that. I have a Ryobi drill set that I bought at Lowe's a few yrs. ago.
I know it didn't come from HD because the nearest one is almost 50 miles away & I can't remember the last time I was there.

Gayle-Ryobi is only sold at home depot and is their brand and not sold elsewhere. Kobalt is Lowes brand. Its been exclusive there since 2000, so unless your drill is older than that you got it at home depot.
