Good morning Snow and all who follow.
Carol, did you see on the news about the farming accident we had here in Plainwell? It happened on thursday afternoon.Ryan Meert died in a silo accident. He was the brother in law of my oldest grandson Larry. He has left a huge hole in our community. He was only 47! He was a middle school teacher and coach. I did not know him personally but have known the family for 70 years. All of our girls went to school with a Meert child. That will be a huge funeral. The Meert family have been farmers here since before we moved here 70 years ago. It is now a really big outfit with farms in several locations. You can read his obituary on line. It is so sad. He left two children and wife and parents too. Winkle Funeral Home in case you want to look it up.
Jill arrived on Thursday and we are just hanging out over the holiday. She will probably be here for three weeks and Joni too.
Waiting for Dave to arrive and Bonnie is so excited! All I have to do is mouth the words, Dave is coming, and she flies to the door with tail wagging. she will be all over him. so happy! He is her favorite person!
I hope everyone has a good Monday. maryinmichigan

Good Morning. The sun is bright and hardly and air moving. Everyone has flag out and this morning they are just hanging there. Going to be a hot one today and I think the forecast is right because it is 86 degrees at 8;45. I am going to close up the house and just stay put for today. I'll do anything so I don't have to turn on the A/C. Last night I turned it on around 9;30 and by 10 it can cooled down the bedroom so it shut off. Nurse just called so I best pick up the house quickly. I hope you all have a good day.

Just checking in. We've been home for a few hours. I brought all my stuff in the house, changed my clothes, and then went right back outside. I spent the next 90 minutes watering plants in the ground. They were in DIRE NEED of water. We definitely didn't get any rain while we were gone. For some reason the power must have gone off while we were gone as everything was blinking and beeping when we got home. By the time I got done using hoses and carrying buckets, I was whipped! Thankfully Bryan sent some BBQ ribs home with us and Valerie sent two pieces of my birthday cake along home. I'm eating that right now. It was a Nothing But Bundt Cake Chocolate Chocolate Chip birthday cake with white butter cream frosting.
Yes, I had a great weekend. I'm whipped so I'll make a post tomorrow.

A quick stop by to say hello and good night.
I didn't do much today. Took the Dyson into the vacuum cleaner repair place for a couple new filters and a good cleaning=$181++, and a drive clear across town as they closed the place I used to go to.
I got some leftover yarn from friend Jessie yesterday so today I sorted thru it and put the full or nearly full skeins back in the bag and spent a good while winding some of it into balls...I have a lot to get done yet. I don't think we are doing anything tomorrow so will have time then and need to make cookies tomorrow for the VA. Today was hot!
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
