SHEPHERD'S PIE (COTTAGE PIE) 1 small onion, minced 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tablespoon oil ½ pound ground beef or turkey 1 tablespoon flour Salt Pepper ¼ cup water [Corn from 1 ear, or 1 small (7 oz) or ¼ cup frozen.] 1½ cups mashed potatoes, leftover or instant
Preheat oven to 350° Sauté onion and garlic in oil about 1 minute Add ground beef and sauté another 2 minutes, until all the pink is gone. Sprinkle with flour, stir and salt & pepper to taste. Place ground meat small casserole or 5" loaf pan Add ¼ cup water Add a layer of corn Top with mashed potatoes Bake 25 minutes until top begins to brown.
