Just after lunch here. I only have two lunches to make , easy peasy .
Tonight for supper we're having moose roast with fresh garden potatoes carrots and beets with a green salad. No dessert too many dishes in the field.
I haven't heard from my company so assuming they'll be here tomorrow .
Hope to be combining in a couple of hrs, one combine has an ouchie so has to be fixed first. Also rain yesterday is holding us up.
Everyone have a great day Pat

Hello again, this time from beautiful P.E.I. I am ashamed to admit that I never read Anne of Green Gables. I read a lot all my life but missed on many of the classics. We have had a mix of sunny skies then rain all day. It was sprinkling when we arrived here a few moments ago but now it is sunny. It's stuffy inside the RV so may need some ac, at least for a bit. We probably won't eat dinner tonight. We had a late lunch. Not planned that way but you know-the best laid plans. We pulled off the main road at 11:30 to look for a place to eat. It was a small but cute town, and we found no place with a big enough parking lot for us. So, we got back on the main road and drove farther until we saw a sign for food at that exit. Again, never found a place to park at any of the restaurants. Generally we try to avoid fast food also. I don't think I have ever seen so many pizza places though! These people must love their pizza. At that first town there were 3 pizza places within a 2 block range! So, here we are going down the road, we make a curve and then right up ahead was a very low clearance overpass! It was like 3.1 meters. We knew that we were too tall for that so we pulled into the gravel lot of a store-I think it was used appliances. The owner was outside smoking, so he flagged us down and was helpful. He gave us some directions. We got back on the main road going the other way, and after a couple of turns we were on a main road with several restaurants. Most of them also had tiny parking lots, but luckily for us there was a Sobey's grocery store and shopping center almost next door so we parked there and walked. It was sunny at that time. We had a late and large lunch. I got chicken parm, and DH got the cheeseburger poutine. It was regular poutine (fries, cheese curds and gravy) with the addition of browned ground beef, sautéed onions and mushrooms. It was great. I might try to do it at home one day. My lunch was fair, not great, but we splurged and got pie and it was good.
DH has been looking at the travel websites so I think he is planning where we go tomorrow. I believe he mentioned something about more lighthouses!
I finished my book today so I'm off to find another read. Bye-bye.

My hand is up for a slice of ice cream pie, please. Someone gave me a recipe using Twinkies. I had never eaten them before but knew they were something kids liked. I forget all that went into it. It was so sweet that no one, not even the kids, could take more than two bites. It was so unbelievably sweet. So I'll pass on anything with contains Twinkies.
Marlene, I feel so bad that you're foot is giving you so much trouble. You are always on the go so this has to be hard. Hopefully the boot will help and take the pain away.
Thank you for the recipe, Tasty

Afternoon! Tasty, thanks for posting the recipe...looks delicious...! met our niece who lives in Colorado and who is visiting here because she is "a member of a wedding"! We hadn't see her since she went to college in Gunnison, CO. Was good to see her. Tonight we are having more of the "pasta" salad. I'm a savory eater so fajitas for me. The challenge this week on Cook's Corner is blueberry. I made a savory blueberry sauce to have with pork...it's good, but has to finish in the skillet after taking out the sautéed pork medallions. Butter has to be added to "thicken". Will report back. Waving to all!

Happy Thursday ladies. I'm having a nice refreshing Strawberry spinach salad tonight. I got the recipe for it and the dressing from the TOH site years ago and tweaked it a little over time. It is a perfect summers day dinner!
I also made my favorite "Sunny Banana Cream Pie" for desert, also a TOH board recipe, so super easy and yummy.
Goodness, I am so sleepy today for some reason? Hard to keep my eyes open if I sit down. Cant wait till bedtime, lol
I'm trying to figure out who some of the posters are still. Is Marjo Marlene from Whats cooking who worked as a meat cutter? I hope your foot feels better! I can imagine the boot is no fun and could trip you up if you move too fast.
Today is my skate coach sons 47th Birthday. Can hardly believe he is that old already! 😳 He always has a big Birthday bash in Vegas. They are heading up there but not sure if they get past a huge fire burning in the Cajone Pass.
I better go run and change the washer over to the dryer. Have a restful evening friends.

Just popping in to say we made it to the doctor's office this afternoon. It was in the 90's so we were glad to get home. We had warmed up meatloaf sandwiches for supper and Hubby had his ice cream sandwich for dessert. Sweet dreams.

Yes Jan that is the Marlene!! How are you lady? So nice you finally joined us. Yes I don't weigh enough so needed extra weight........the lovely boot!! It is something riding the lawnmower with. I have zero radius turn so it goes fast but where to put that boot??? I would like to put it where it doesn't belong!! Sorry I am being onry. I did clean a bedroom and living room and kitchen today before mowing. So not sitting idle. My youngest DD is coming with DH and DGS Saturday so have to get the house in shape. DS might be coming to buy friends boat. The deal was not made yet with our last conversation, so not sure.
Take care for supper I had a vegetarian supper. It is just me now as last year in May DH passed away. So eat what is here. Marlene

Hello to Everyone......Today has been wonderful weather wise w/high in the mid 70's. I have done some cleaning and some laundry and a few errands. Dinner tonight is what ever you want to eat and fix it yourself. I am home alone and 2 GS'S are out doing their own thing. The older one had a wisdom tooth out a few days ago and is still on a soft diet......he was lucky and didn't have much bleeding or swelling.
I hope all have had a great day and can have a peaceful evening, Tasty, thanks for the chicken recipe, it sounds like a keeper, I will be giving it a try soon.
Cheers, Doris

Sounds like a lot of good meal favorites being had by all today. Definitely the perfect weather for ice cream pie, if you can eat it before it melts.
We went to visit our DD and see their brand new tiny little cute as a button puppy. She took a few vacation days from work to help him start learning the ropes. HE has HER trained very well, time for her husband to step in to stop the spoiling. It's just that the puppy is so innocent looking. She put him in his crate for a couple of hours and we took her to lunch and had a very nice time in one of her area restaurants. Lunch was very filling so supper was a breeze tonight. I had a whole cut tomato (yum) and peach yogurt with a peach sliced in it. My DH had a cold turkey sandwich and an ear of corn.
A bit over a month ago they had to have their adult dog put to sleep and it was very hard for both of them. When they heard the breeder had an extra puppy from the litter not spoken for, they jumped at it. The first dog had a lot of meaning to both of them. It had been our DD's dog and it was because of her dog she eventually met her husband.

Tasty, thanks for posting the recipe. I was going to request it but cooktocook beat me to the punch. Seems it would be easy to cut down in size. Cooktocook, would you please post your recipe for foiled cooked enchiladas. Went to the Kraft site but couldn't find it. Website stated it couldn't be found.
Didn't cook tonight. I just ate a sandwich made with hot sauce on the bread and some turkey lunchmeat. DH just ate some ice cream and some chips. He "just wasn't hungry". LOL! Weather here wasn't too hot. In the mid to high 80's. However the humidity has been stifling. I was short of breath when I walked our little dog around the yard.

Oh Marlene, I am so glad its you!!! I always enjoyed your posts. You are the busiest lady around, no darn boots going to get you down girlfriend! Had to LOL when you said where you'd like to put that boot (in my imagination😉). Sounds like your going to have a good happy weekend enjoying your family.
So sorry to hear about your husbands passing. That is one group I always hate for anyone to be in (widow's)!
My hubby had passed a little less than six weeks before I joined in the board at TOH and I can hardly believe it's going to be 11 years come Oct 14th. My little Mama has been gone 7 years now (7th of this month). I'll tell you time sure flys. I hope your In Laws are still with us?!?! You have been such a good and caring DIL.
Guess I will go see whats on the Olympics until Big Brother cones on at 9:00. Until tomorrow....good night Marlene.
