Good evening. Someone turned on the A/C around here and forgot to turn it off! Sheesh!!! It has been practically cold all day long. It may have been in the 50s, but the wind made it feel a lot colder. I saw a forecast that said we'd need jackets today, but the rest of the forecast would be short and sandals weather. Works for me!
I finally touched base with DSis#5 about DM's insurance. Poor girl is being run ragged trying to keep up with DM's crazy way of handling bills. I told her DM needs to turn things over to her to deal with in her own way. She can't be constantly running behind DM cleaning up after her and the messes she makes. That girl is earning angel wings here on earth.
DH's cousin came and got some daisies this afternoon. God love her! She also did some weeding for me and took a small trash can of weeds to her place to burn them so we wouldn't have to buy yard waste bags to get picked up. DH has a wonderful family that looks out for one another. We are blessed. I've been in touch with one of the other cousins who is wanting daisies. It looks like his sister is going to stop by and pick some up for both of them. I already have some new space to plant at least one thing. By the time the rest is gone, I ought to be able to plant more things just in the place where the daisies were crowding things out. Now, if I could just get someone to take irises off my hands. We have way too many of them and not enough variety of what we have. I'm not opposed to having a lot of irises, just way too many of the same color crunched together.
I guess while I was out today DH called his DB#3 and asked him if he could come with a roto tiller and dig up the old back bed so we can seed it. I think he and his SonIL are coming on Sunday. Yay!!! It just occurred to me who I can get to dig up the irises. 😉 I may end up getting my beds the way I want them yet this year.
Sounds like you had a good birthday, Gayle. I'm glad you are being treated to supper tonight. Loved seeing your birthday purchases on the photo thread. Very cool that you stayed within your budget.
Well, I have to start getting ready to place a grocery order for tomorrow. I don't feel like going in and shopping, so a pickup order it will be. Hope the day was good to everyone. G'night.
