Happy Tuesday to all as well. PT is the only thing on my schedule today plus stopping at the library to pick up a book that is waiting. I had a wonderful lunch with my cousin yesterday who travels over 100 miles just to have her taxes done locally. We caught up on family news and gossip. The annual family reunion will be in August and upon leaving both of us said "see you in August unless a funeral (which we are not hoping for) comes first. "You already are a success." Marlene

Good morning everyone. It's 8º here this morning. That explains why the furnace ran more than usual in the night. It's predicted to be 30º later and then the next 2 days are to be in the 40s.
Yesterday I putzed around here in the morning and cleaned for the neighbor lady in the afternoon. I think I have her house all done for the 1st time so now it will probably be an every other week cleaning.
This morning I clean for the lady minister and then my friends come for lunch.
I talked with Larry's brother's wife. She recently had a mammogram locally and they sent her on to Mayo in Rochester, MN. She found out she has cancer in both breasts and in the lymph nodes, but they gave her a very positive prognosis. They said they can just remove both lumps and the lymph nodes with cancer and follow up with radiation without doing chemo. I hope it is that simple. She is 82 and has had all sorts of health problems since Larry's brother died a year ago Christmas. I offered to drive her to radiation treatments if needed since by time she starts those, Curt will be done with rehab.
I need to get ready to go since the lady minister often calls for me to come earlier than the scheduled 9 am.
Happy Tuesday to all. Charlene

Good morning. Just in from a brake on snow blowing. As of 7 this morning we had 10 1/2" and it is to continue with heavy snow until about 4 this evening. I am at 30°so at least it isn't real heavy. Have about half of the back yard done and the auger isn't turning. It is packed with snow but the problem belt is still in place so need to go out and clean out the auger and see what happens. If it doesn't work I will be back to the little walk behind. I did shovel about 8' of the big deck so I have a starting place to measure from tomorrow morning. I doubt I will shovel any more of it today. I will be snow blowing most of the day.
Have a great day.

Good morning. 57 here so a cooler morning but still way warmer than home where it was -1. High here of 69 today. Still 40° warmer than the predicted high at home.
We had fun mini golfing last night. We went to the town of celebration afterwards for ice cream. Seems like a nice town but since it was late we didn’t stay long.
We talked about going to the gulf but decided to pivot and do the ocean instead. The traffic to the gulf is ridiculous and it takes over 2 hours to get there because of the traffic. The ocean is closer and while still lots of traffic it seems to go faster. We are going to go somewhere different today than we’ve been before. Only 4 days of vacation left. It has gone fast.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning all. That's a lot of snow Bet. Be careful with moving it if you must do it. Would your son or SIL do it for you if you asked for help?
Enjoy the warmth while you can Melissa. Is MIL staying in Florida after you leave or will she travel home with you? Looks like the cold weather is sticking around for a while yet. I'm going to be glad to see some warmer weather - I was done with winter a long time ago altho spring will be quite different for us this year with no gardens to tend to. Several friends have offered to let me weed for them - LOL!
HAve a terrific Tuesday.

We are sunny and cold right now. Our high will maybe make it above freezing today. Just barely, though. The good news in the forecast is that we do have a number of days towards the end of the forecast that show we could be in the 50s for a few days in a row. That would be awesome! I'm ready. I did more transplanting last night. Several seedlings I took risks on because they weren't really ready, but others in the dish were beyond ready to move. I have enough sown that if not everything makes it I will be fine. I see more bachelor's button is up, and so is a gazania. I'm really glad I re-sowed the impatiens because I am getting action in that dish too. That seed came in an envelope with both seed and a lot of filler for some reason. I clearly sowed more filler than seeds the first time. This last time, I picked out what I hoped was seed. Looks like I guessed right. I won't be able to transplant again until I buy more potting mix. Before I went to bed last night, I looked through a piece of mail that came from Kroger. It had coupons and recipes in it. I usually just glance at the recipes, but this time I took notice of one in particular. They have what seems like an easy recipe for scones that I will try. DH has been wanting to try one but I haven't been able to find them in any of the store bakeries where I shop. This will be an opportunity to get in touch with my British side. 😉 This will also give me a chance to practice my QR scanning skills - of which I have none. I just recently googled how to do it on my phone. Should be fun and interesting. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon with my orthopedic surgeon to see about my knee. His office is in a hospital that isn't really easy for me to get to, but I am going anyway. Some genius decided the area wasn't congested enough. It needed a big roundabout to make things more confusing. Luckily, I believe they still offer valet parking. I need to hit the bank before I go so I can be sure to do that. Parking garages are not my friend. I hope this trip turns out to be worth it. Well, I suppose I should go get my coffee and something to eat. I want to also hit the library before my doctor's appointment. I need to discuss with them why I am still not receiving emails about when books I order are in. On Saturday, I stopped in and talked with them about it. Supposedly, they updated my notification preferences then. I was told if I didn't get an email yesterday or today to call them. I just checked my account and saw the book is in and on hold waiting at the library. I have until Thursday to pick it up. Had I not checked, I wouldn't have known. Now that I am typing that out, I am wondering about what might be stopping those emails. I have the same issue with notifications from here. It's possible they stopped at the same time because I used to get both with no problem. Maybe I change my library notifications to getting phone calls or text messages, not emails. Hmmm ... Anyway, wishing everyone a terrific Tuesday! Tasty, can you do any container gardening?

Good morning,
Look the sun is shining, oops you didn't look fast enough it's gone. The temperature is 34 degrees and cloudy and very windy. I am thinking my walk today will be inside. They are saying we are to get rain/snow or a mixture, they are not sure what.
Nothing much going on here so I shall go back to my book. Have a good day.
Melissa, when we go to Florida we stay about 10 minutes away from Celebration. We usually stop and get coffee and donut or bagel and sit at the lake and watch for the alligator to come by. Also like the ice cream place.

Good morning. We will get to the 40's today, and, supposedly the low 60's tomorrow, and then 30's again. There is no snow left around here. There didn't seem to be any runoff from the lawns, so it must have all soaked into the ground. Should go out an poke something in the ground to see how far it goes. Not been doing much the last few weeks. A little gardening. I'm almost at my limit of 60 plants, so no more planting seeds inside. I'm waiting on the Impatiens to get bigger, and they will fill up the last few spaces. I harvested the Romaine yesterday, to make room for the Marigold seedlings. It's so good to play in the dirt, especially when it's cold outside. The Pro-Mix is working well by mixing it with the soil from the little pots. They had seed starter and top soil mix, and then adding the Pro-Mix really seemed to lighten the soil. Plants all seem to like it.
Other than that, not too much going on here. Have a good day, everyone.

Good morning. I still have 20 minutes left of it.
Today we are celebrating national pie day at the clubhouse. I baked a pumpkin pie for it.
I am glad we don't change times, but it does affect us when we try calling back home and have to think about the time difference.
We are finally warming up. Lots of people in 5he swimming pool yesterday.
I now have 3 plants outside growing. Let's hope they make it through the hot summer here.

I literately can't get out of my house at the moment. Between the over 20" of snow and the snow coming off the roof the snow is way deeper than the length of my legs. If I take a step I sink and can't get my leg back out. Well did but took some maneuvering. I am in the process of shoveling snow from the sides and packing it down so I can walk on it. I have between 2 and 3' of snow that I have packed on the sidewalk.
Once I get out of the house I need to get back to snow blowing. I am not going to finish tonight for sure.
I have dug and packed in this picture back to the corner of the house. Quite a ways to go before I get to where I might be able to get to the garage.

Good evening. Just another day in my covid journey. I think by now I've had most of the common symptoms and looks like I might have to stay out of work the rest of the week. Bet, there were several reasons I didn't go through the hassle of trying to get the paxlovid, the first being that I first thought it was just a cold, then thought the symptoms wouldn't be as bad as they have been. Then there would be the logistics of contacting my doctors office when they are likely still in the process of scanning records for the new group coming that she will be a part of, at least until she retires. I would also have had to get DGS to go pick it up. By the time I would get that done it would possibly be too late to help. If it hasn't been the weekend it would have been easier.
We have another freeze warning for tomorrow morning. I have plants on the porch but not going to stress over them.
Have a good night.
