Good morning everyone. It is 30º and going to 35º. My phone says it is snowing, but my eyes tell me the sun is shining Yesterday morning I cleaned up the kitchen and tidied up the dining and living rooms. My friends came for lunch. While they were here, I got a text from DGD#2 inviting me out to visit since it was her last day of maternity leave. I went out at 4 as requested and had fun holding DGGD, Emery and also playing with Luke. DD came out at 5 when she finished working. It was a fun time. I got home at 6 and gave Lair the usual evening call. He was distressed since they had come to fix his TV and when they left they said it was fixed and would be activated by the DISH office within an hour. When it hadn't been activated several hours later, he made several phone calls but no action was taken. I felt sorry for him being without a TV to watch all night, so he got the TV out of the living room and I took some rabbit ears up for him. We got that hooked up and I scanned the TV and when I left he had only 6 channels, but better than nothing. This morning I take Curt to rehab and this afternoon I am cleaning for my 92 yr old neighbor lady. Happy Wednesday to all. Charlene

Charlene, I know the fun time with DGGK, when I see my Greats it really charges my battery.
I'm just surprised that repair people came and worked on Lair's TV. No surprise he didn't hear from the main office. I have been trying to pay my cable bill for 2 days now, and some reason, everything is shut down. Tried to call twice and just get a recording. Not sure how long this has been going on, but I know 3 days. I know how upset Ray would be if we didn't have TV.
Guess that is all.

A quick good morning. 72 heading to 85 here. Sun is just burning away the morning fog. Today is ds1 and his gfs last full day here. We may go to some shops later. We plan to go mini golfing tonight. Otherwise we will hang by the pool and relax in the sun. Yesterday we did the Merritt Island National Seashore. Tomorrow we may go to the gulf. Guess they have red tide right now there (algae) but we don’t really swim in the water. More just walk along the shore. Dh and ds2 went out to the waist yesterday.
Dh is making some ham and eggs now so gonna eat and head to the sunshine. Have a great day.

Good morning. Having my coffee before heading to work. The roads look icy but hopefully they aren’t. We had freezing drizzle last night. At least the amount of snow we are to get went down to 6 inches Thursday and Thursday night instead of the 9. I will still miss work tomorrow and Friday. Friday because they won’t plow our street until Friday night.
Charlene sounds like you had a nice time with the little ones. The only great I see a lot is 11 month old BB (I call him that cuz I cannot pronounce that name my granddaughter gave him. He calls me GG. I will have number 4 great in a few months. My son just called me last night to inform me.
After work I need to stop at the gas station and grocery store. I swear I am out of everything!
Have a good day!

Good morning. It was 19°this morning and may get to the mid 30's with a few snow showers. I slept in this morning. It just felt like a good thing to do. Nothing much planned for today except to continue planting seed. Two more flats of geraniums are up this morning.
Charlene, how great that you got your cuddles yesterday. I do so miss those with the tiny ones. My greats are all too old for that. I do still at least get a hug when ever I see them. Poor Lair may be a while with Dish problems as Gayle has been reporting on them almost every day that they apparently are pretty much shut down. Good thing rabbit ears work there. Here there would be no fix except to wait.
Melissa, sounds as though your vacation is going great but I am sure too fast. Keep us posted as you can.
Kathy, glad to read that your snow fall has at least been down graded a little bit. Be care on those roads this morning.
Wendy, glad you got the licensing situation straightened out. You might want to get those NY stickers off your windshield. I was surprised when you posted you didn't think you had to renew your registration since I don't know of any state that isn't going to take any opportunity possible to collect money. LOL
Have a great day.

Cloudy here this morning. Charlene, you are just a fireball. Taking people to appointments, cleaning, visiting...... Leaving shortly for the Wednesday coffee session. Due to the weather, I think it has been close to 6 weeks since I've been the After coffee I will stop at Subway for a BOGO sandwich. Buy one sandwich and drink; get another sandwich free. Tomorrow I finally start PT on my back. It has been a month since my doctor called them. One of the reasons it has not happened earlier is that one of the therapists left and has yet to be replaced. It is sunny and we are sitting right at the freezing mark right now. Looks like we will make it to just above 40 today. Tomorrow will be it for us for the "warm" seasonal weather for a while. The rest of the 10-day forecast has our highs in the lower 30s. The meteorologists have said we got early March weather in February, so now we are getting early February weather in March. Great!!! Yesterday just didn't feel right to me. I somehow managed to tick off my left ankle so movement was painful most of the day. As such, I didn't do a whole bunch. Bible Study was done online so I didn't have to walk anymore than I had to. I did manage to do some transplanting, but did so sitting down at the card table in my office chair. I also went out to the garage and found the Repels All pellets. I didn't feel secure enough to go out and spread them, but may do that today. I'll probably also transplant the Spoon tomatoes since I have yogurt cups now and the plants have their second set of leaves. I'm going to do parsley again also. I didn't soak the seeds the first time I sowed parsley like I guess I should have done. This time, I did soak them and will see what happens. Kind of like my own little science experiment. I hope to have too much parsley since I am growing it for the caterpillars. It's still possible that the original seed I sowed will germinate because the package says it takes 21-28 days to come up. It hasn't been that long yet on those. I'm just being an "Anxious Annie" because I really want to have food for the caterpillars again this year. I have plenty of dill, but I can't say I have had cats feast on that before even though they are supposed to like it. As we warm up, I will grow carrots again. This time, I am doing them in a bucket where they'll have plenty of room to grow down. The bench planter was fine for growing the tops for the caterpillars, but the carrot growth was practically non-existent. Since I still have plenty to sow yet from my wish list, I am not going to re-sow the few things that only gave me a couple of seedlings - like the impatiens, cottage red and cracker jack orange marigolds. I'll have plenty by the time I am done, and a peculiar thing occurred to me while deciding what to do ... I don't HAVE to fill all my pots. That is a strange concept to me. LOL! No sense stressing myself over what I am supposed to love doing, right? We did go pick up supper last night at a local Mexican restaurant that was donating a portion of their profits for the night to the theater program at my parish school. The kids are putting on "Mary Poppins, Jr." this next weekend, and this was a fundraiser for offsetting their costs and having funds to do a musical again next year. It was our pleasure to do that because we really love the owner of the restaurant, and it was good to support the school in the process. I like to support businesses that give back to the community. We've actually gotten some great food that way. It's a win-win for us! DH decided he wanted to ride along, which was fine with me - until he started talking about doing whatever he had to so he could drive again. Get tested etc. I told him I didn't think we could get insurance on him anymore because of his diagnosis. We just talked about this last week at the caregivers meeting. Insurance companies are not keen on covering people with poor judgement and memory problems. That made DH mad at the doctor who apparently doesn't know what he is talking about. Ugh! This morning he greeted me with the question of when we could go look at a new auto-lift chair he ferreted out at a local furniture company. Mind you he doesn't "need" a new chair just yet. He just wants one because the one he has practically worn out that was given to us when I had my first hip surgery years ago, magically doesn't fit his butt anymore. It's too snug. I had to bite my tongue on a few of my comebacks on that. He sleeps in a recliner that is considered "a big man's chair". It isn't auto-lift, but he's made it work so far. We have a chair we need to get rid of that we were gifted by our friend John when his DM died a while back. It was auto-lift until it wasn't anymore. DH called to see about repairs on it. It'll be $350 just for the parts on it, so not worth fixing when he was quoted a price of $500+ on a new one. I have also been pricing the chairs. I can almost guarantee that the price he was quoted would not be for a bigger chair than the one he is using now. Most are over $1,000. I am willing to spend the money when he needs it, but not until. We've had this debate a few times so I was caught off guard this morning when he asked me when we were going to the furniture place - today or tomorrow. Either he doesn't remember my 'no' or he is playing with me to see if I will cave. My mind is made up. We get the new chair ONLY when we have to and not before. I've never been a chess player before, but I feel like I am in a real-life game right now where I have to figure out how to stay 5 steps ahead of DH just to not go to the poor house. Nice, Charlene, that you had some great family time yesterday. Sorry you had to think quick about how to solve Lair's TV woes. We take our television watching for granted sometimes. It isn't until we don't have it that we realize how much we depend on it. Have a good day with Curt and your neighbor lady! You are such a blessing to those around you. Carol, you said exactly what I feel about any exposure I have with Mac. He recharges my batteries! While I prefer face-to-face time, even a video chat boosts me for a long time. I'm passed ready by now. I hope to see the boys this weekend in a chat. Glad to see you checking in, Melissa. I'm sure the family time away has been wonderful. Enjoy every second of it. Congrats, Kathy, on the upcoming great grand! My plan was for Mac to call my mom GG, but I don't imagine he will ever see her again to call her anything. Spring sure can't come soon enough for you to be able to work consistently again. Some mornings just call for sleeping in, Bet. Good for you on getting more geraniums up. My new variety I am trying is very slow growing. I saw on my FB memories today that this time last year I had full and really pretty cuttings practically ready to go outside already. I may regret not taking cuttings from my plants in the fall. Could end up being an OOPS. You mentioned my aunt in comparison to your age. My DU is going to be 83, but his wife is six years younger than him. After you said something, I thought about the difference between her age and mine. She's 12 years older than me. It's the same difference between me and DSis#5. It's funny how after a certain point those years don't much matter. Marlene, that is a nice deal on the Subway meals. Life can get complicated when filling medical positions is hard. I remember our dentist having trouble getting a new hygienist a while back. That meant waiting much longer to get cleanings. Well, I need another cuppa tea before deciding what I want to start on today. I can't believe it is almost 11:00 already. My day is half gone. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Well it is almost noon and here I sit. The Lions are selling our ice out tickets Saturday all day and I have been making posters and had out all morning. I still have to fold brochures and cut thank you hand out sheets. I want to get every thing delivered to the member that is heading up the sale this afternoon.
Karen, we have some cooler weather coming and some light snow again next week.
Marlene, great news that you are finally getting started on PT. Enjoy your coffee group today.
Mary, stay warm today. Of course your low is my high for the day.
Karen, I am sure DH is overwhelming at times.

I was here a bit ago and thought I had made a reply but I guess I was in too much of a hurry to get on my walk. The sun is shining brightly, the temperature is 47 degrees but there is a wicked wind going. I did finish my walk, just did not go on my regular route, stayed where I was more sheltered by the buildings.
We are supposed to have another storm on Friday but sounds like we will probably just have rain.
Time to get back to doing something. Have a good rest of your day.

Carol, when Charlene mentioned that I wondered if the problem was nationwide? They are having some sort of problem with cyber security but I do have service. So not sure if that is Lair's problem or not. If he is talking to them I would guess not. Here you can't pay your bill online or by phone. In fact you can't even reach customer service. The online site says it happened toward the end of Feb.
