Good morning friends.
Lots of rain throughout the night but we could use it.
Pizza is on the menu for tonight.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning Nancy and all who follow.
After lots of rain yesterday and very strong winds last night we woke up to a lovely summer morning, blue skies, sunshine and temps in the low 70s - sounds perfect to me.
Something with chicken will be on our table tonight. I'm thinking Aussie Chicken but I need to check if I have everything I need. A friend is joining us for supper - her husband has been in hospital for the last few days. He is doing well after some surgery on Sunday but she is tired.
Have a wonderful day.

Good morning. 63 and mix of sun and clouds. We got .91" of rain yesterday and last night but not the sever storms they were predicting.
Leftovers last night were good. Have no idea what tonight will bring until I get home from work and see what I feel like eating. I am sure it will be something from the prepared meals in the freezer.
Have a great day.

Good morning - The rock layers are busy beavers today! Yesterday was not a good day for them and not much rain but kept after them all day. They don't want wet tools. The saw to cut the big rocks cost $800 alone. Tomorrow Chuck and wife are going to watch their granddaughter at the state fair, will be 93* not my cup of tea but DG's are worth it.
We are having taco salad, summer squash casserole and have precooked honey bbq wings in the crock pot too. Will fix garlic bread to go too. Have cream puff dessert and lemonade. I am trying to get some cleaning done today around here so will see how I do.
The boot is just awkward to do to much. Wears me out dragging it along. I guess it is a must if I want the foot to be better. At least it does not hurt in the boot.
They are using tamping machine and shaking the whole house!

Good morning. The sky is bright blue and filled with warm sunshine. Currently 82*, high expected to be about 93*. Strong thunderstorms are in the forecast for late afternoon through early evening.
Already cleaned both bathrooms and kitchen, as well as took an hour bike ride. This afternoon I have to go down to the Wellness Clinic where DH works and get my free skin cancer screening. Otherwise, planning to work around the house picking up things that have gotten tossed here or there the last few days.
Desperate for a haircut--I'm feeling like a shaggy dog right about now and the humidity makes it just hang! The gal I used for the last eleven years retired, so it's taken me almost two months to find another gal/shop. Her first opening is Friday afternoon, so I need to just hang in there a few more days.
Going to use some leftover cooked chicken from the freezer and try a new to me enchilada recipe. This is a foil-pack recipe that I can hopefully grill outside. If the rain interrupts my plans, I can always turn on the oven and make them there.
Enjoy your day everyone. Lori

Good Wednesday morning to one and all. The sun is shining nice and bright today and it is suppose to be pretty hot out. I need to get some housework done but if sitting and looking at it would do the trick my house would be really clean--lol. Funny how much work just one person can make for themselves in the house. The dust does come even when there is just one alone. No cooking for me today as I will have left overs from yesterday. I have been thinking about a good bread pudding and getting hungry for some, anyone have a good recipe they would be willing to share. I love bread pudding with raisins in it. I hope everyone will have a good day.

Hi everyone, We had high winds and storms on and off all day yesterday. We lost power so many times but luckily only for minutes. It's only 75 degrees and so comfortable compared to last week. My grass needs cut badly but it's sprinkling so it probably won't get done until the weekend.
I'm moving all the furniture and giving the family room a good cleaning. I agree Sara. Where does it all come from.
I have sausage in the refrigerator but I'm not sure what I'll make with it.

It sounds like everyone but me has decided on supper, mine is depending how many I have.
It rained here last night and this morning so we are at a standstill maybe able to swath this afternoon but I have my doubts.
If tomorrow is good I think I'll do a roast with everything in it. Friday I work at our local museum in the afternoon and in the morning they're coming to put my garage doors in at the lake so my daughter-in-law offered supper. Saturday I'm getting company so will do a turkey and trimmings.
I had a young gal come in this morning for some cleaning . Did everything but bedrooms in 3 hrs ( dust vacuum and scrub floors) would have taken me all day. So nice to have all done.😅 Everyone enjoy the day! Pat

Hi all! Sara, regarding bread pudding, if you go back quite a few threads you will find one called "Attention all cooks”. It is a request for bread pudding recipes & there are a number of them in the thread. Hope you find one that appeals to you. I will be trying the one posted by Snow. So glad to see you & Marlene have found your way here. Keep cool & no regrets about the dusting! 😊 I hope everyone here will hve a pleasant & cool say.

Marlene I was wondering if there is any way we can exchange e-mail address or become friends on facebook?

Good afternoon. My phone tells me it's 81 going up to 88 today. At least there is a bit of an ocean breeze and it is very welcome! Anyone who wants can send us your rain, we need it and want it badly out here!!!🌧
Good thing I like leftovers because thats whats on my menu. I just simply can not seem to cook for one no matter how hard I try. My kids benefit from that of course. My oldest granddaughter moved to Arizona and wants me to move there. She said I would love it. If it ever happens I know they will be happy for my full family meals. Ha Ha
Wishing everyone a blessed evening. ~Jan~

Hi everyone,
Like Jan said, it's warm in So. Ca. Looks like tomorrow will be cooler in San Diego where we live. We have the ac going for sure.
I have to run to the airport to get dd late this afternoon. She's been in Fl. visiting grandparents. So, dinner will be quick. It's bad time of day to hit the airport due to traffic. I have some turkey and chicken to slice up for sandwiches.
Have a wonderful day.

Hello ! Today is a rainy cool day. We have stayed home. Besides getting the laundry done nothing is on the agenda. I have a chicken & rice casserole baking now for supper. We had a lovely day yesterday. We drove around St. Georges Bay. We visited the lighthouse at Cape George. We had lunch at a little shop then drove to the town of Pictou. We visited the local museum and toured a replica of the ship that brought the first settlers from Scotland in 1773. We walked around the town, bought some shortbread then drove around a little more. We saw that there was a concert going on that evening, it was Celtic music. We bought tickets and as a preview we got to hear the local bagpipes/drum corp give a short concert. The main show was a singer from Scotland with 2 guys as her musicians. Also there was an act of 2 sisters performing Celtic music and doing some step dancing. It was a very enjoyable night! We leave tomorrow and will drive to Prince Edward Island. We should be there in the afternoon. We are going to drive all the way and not do the ferry. Waving to everyone and hope it is a great day where you are!
