Good Morning in the Midwest December 1

Morning all it is 23 out there and we got on Monday. Dusting of snow and with 43 today it will be all gone it a start but a long ways to go for moisture for us. Have the wood stove going so will back off on that or it will get too warm in the house. We need moisture so bad! 

I read all the updates on Hudson so happy things are doing as well as can be expected and prayers are still going for a complete rid of this form of cancer. Don't know why it has to hit the so very young! Prayers still going for Hudson and the whole family.

Good morning.  25, going to 49, with sunshine now, clouding over later, and strong winds blowing all day.

Hi, Snow.  Good to see you this morning.  We didn't get enough snow to do anything.

Had a big pot of soup last night.  Adam put the turkey carcass and a package of chicken thighs in, along with a spiral pasta, carrots, celery and onions, garbanzo beans.  It was really good, and there is plenty for today, too.  I cleaned the freezer (above the fridge), threw some things away, and separated the hamburger packs to one side, and the chicken and pork chops to the other side.  Should save some digging to find things.  He laughed and said looks like we have some beef in there.  We do, as we bought those roasts when they were on sale.  We do have to get thighs when we go to the store.  Lucky this week, they are on sale.  

Doctor's appointment this morning.  Lung doctor.  Only have one other in December - cancer doctor.  Then, at this point, nothing till February.  

Started Decorating, but Adam hasn't brought everything up yet.  He won't let me go down to see if I can find the few things that he hasn't so far, so might end up going with what I have.

Good Morning,  Its sunny right now and no wind.  Been to get the big trap from Lori and Brian, now we just have to set it and catch the cat and take it on a trip.  I may sound mean, but I have had it with that cat.  I have to think of my cat and my birds.  We will drop it off at a big farm about 5 to 7 miles away.  Kaylee said just keep the cat, no way, I have all I can do to take care of Ray, the cat and myself.    Thats my vent for the day.

I threw away 2 pumkins in the field, now just one more but I need the wheelbarrow to move it, its still heavy, the deer have ate most of the insides, I have to laugh all but one were broken into. While I was out I was going to put a few things in the greenhouse, but the ground is frozen right where the door is and it won't open.  I can try later.
I have moved the chair on the sunporch so I"m ready for the tree to go up, but that will wait for a few more days, just maybe one week.  Not sure depends on the mood.

Leroy,  I didn't know you went to a lung Dr.  I'm sure Adam will be bring up more Christmas decorations.

Snow,  Sorry about being so dry, we had a good rain the other night and still have puddles.

Good Morning,  the sun is bright and it looks like a beautiful day.  It got down in the teens overnight. Last night just after the sun went down Brody was in the front entry raising a lot of commotion.  I couldn't figure out what was going on.  Peeking out the windows I see I had a deer in front of the window looking in.  When I got close to the window, he ran. The rest of the evening was quiet. I didn't get to the chiropractor yesterday.  I couldn't go that far from a bathroom so will have until some other day.  This morning when I hoke up I was concerned.  I woke and I was just freezing, it seemed so cool in the house.  I checked and the thermostat said it was 53º.  I turned on the light and the heating and the cooling was shut off.  I turned on the thermostat and the furnace started running.  I don't know if I bumped the button or if it slipped but anyway it is running now and feels good.  I need to get some warmer coffee and plan my day.  Trust me, It will be in the house.  You all stay warm and have a good day.

I've been out this morning to pay my bills and went to Aldi's.
My son took me as I don't want to go by myself anymore
unless I have to. I took some of my homemade fudge to
a young lady at the credit union. She has been so nice to me and I just
wanted to surprise her.
She was so tickled she gave me two hugs one when I gave
her the candy and the other one when I was leaving so that made my day to make
her feel special. We got a sub sandwich and brought it home with us. My daughter-in-law
works from home so we brought her a sandwich also. I may take a nap here in a little bit
sounds like a plan. My granddaughter is turning 24 today. They are all growing up so fast
and making me old ha ha
I sure hope little Hudson is doing well.. I will

Checking in. I never found any ambition yesterday or today.

This was a LONG day of waiting! They found ZER0 cancer cells in Hudson's blood so the chemo is working. I can now breath a little until next Thursday's appt. and re-checks. I told Bryan to stop and get Hudson some Culver's ice cream on the way home so they can celebrate.

Well, I'm gonna go snack now as I haven't eaten since breakfast.
