Good morning. Was up at early dark this morning. Have a busy day planned including possibly going to work this afternoon. Have just an hour and a half in one store close by. First thing is lots of Lions work that has to get done then will see what the weather brings.
Yesterdays rain came much later than planned and was just enough to make everything very wet for working outside. It is suppose to rain again this afternoon into the night. It was real foggy here earlier but seems to be moving out now but no sun for the day. It is 59° right now.
Right now I need to go set up a work schedule for the golf tournament and get that emailed out. Also need to send a reminder of a zoom meeting for the golf committee tonight.
I am sure I will be back later
Have a great day.

Again heavy hearts as I just heard about another mass shooing. Yesterday I made the taco meat for the graduation party on Saturday. Today it is banana bars. I will also be volunteering at the library for an hour. This afternoon I hope to mow. Marlene

Good morning everyone. It's 50º and 70º later. A little wind, but not bad...and it's sunny with no chance of rain. Sounds like a repeat of yesterday which was beautiful.
I finally got to work in some of my sun flower beds yesterday and didn't have to move to the shade until about 3 pm. I am pleased with what I'm getting done in the beds. I just wish they would stay looking that way, but I know once I am finished it's time to start all over again.
This afternoon Curt has an appointment at the eye doctor at 2. Once I get home from taking him to that, I may start mowing the lawn and then finish it tomorrow.
I realized this morning that I left the load of clothes outside on the drying rack all night. That is a good thing since it didn't rain....the clothes smell so fresh! There are positive aspects to this lack of memory that I am developing. It is actually very healthy for me....makes me take about 10,000 extra steps per day walking to retrieve things I forgot or looking for things I've misplaced....lol.
Happy Thursday to all! Charlene

Bette...You are still doing zoom meetings? I think most meetings here have resumed to in person. I'd hate interrupting my day for 1½ hours work.
Marlene....Yes, so sad about all of these shootings. I didn't catch any news this morning because by time I turned on the TV it was live from London and the Queen's 70th celebration. You certainly are a great help to your kids making some of the food for their parties.
Gotta get the garbage out to the curb. Charlene

It looks like we will get rain, but the reality is we probably won't get much if we do. That's okay. We ended up getting a trace of rain last night just before dark. The next 10-14 days we are expected to be near normal temps to maybe slightly below once in a while. I saw an overnight low of 48. That is definitely below normal for this time of year! I don't have a ton of time as I have to shower and get myself across the street for the first in-person caregivers meeting we've had in ages. Those of us who have attended regularly voted to have one in-person and one virtual meeting each month. I got pretty lucky in that the new venue that was secured for the in-person meetings is at the church right across the street from us. I'm going to have to comment when I get home. I just realized how short on time I actually am right now.

Charlene, most of our members are over 70 and many with health issues so are still laying low. The meetings I am working on are committee meeting and they are so much easier by zoom. We are now trying to do hybrid meetings for our regular meeting and that seems to be working out.
Karen, nice that your meeting is just across the street.

Just in for a short break. It is beautiful outside sunny in the low 70's with a breeze that at the moment is keeping the bugs away. Done weeding the kitchen garden and on my way out to put in the manure and fertilizer and til it. Then it will be ready to plant the rest of my tomatoes.
Mary, enjoy your day. I am sure you enjoy eating the English food.

Good morning all - just 🙂. We woke up early, unplanned, so got up and watched the Trooping the Colour - quite impressive. Like Mary, my British heritage is showing. Then I tidied up around here and headed into town for a little bit of shopping. This afternoon we'll head out again to vote in our provincial election. I'm a firm believer that those who do not vote have no rights to complain about what our government is doing so I will always vote! Nothing too exciting going on. Lots of rain yesterday which means no watering needed for a day or 2 which saves quite a bit of time. Enjoy your day!

Good afternoon. It's 92, going to 98. At least tomorrow we get a cool down, to 89, and possibly rain, which we need. Might go by tractor supply after work. I think the birds are wanting easy food instead of having to forage for it. A titmouse was on my back deck this morning looking for something. I cleaned the newer hummer feeder and refilled it last night so at least they have food. Don't know what I may do at home other than water the baskets on the porch. DGS had watered things yesterday even after I watered the vegetables before work, but I gave the veggie plants a little more water this morning. Hopefully they get a good rain tomorrow and then I'll feed them Saturday. Wish I had some organic food but I guess I'll be using the chemical liquid.
