Good Morning, Just lost my post don't know what I did, so now I need to find the button that makes it come back, I know there is one.
The coffee is done and time to get started. Its a cloudy start 63* going to a high of 80* with lots of rain coming up from the south, even lots of flood watches, not in my area. Today I will be doing my usual Monday, go to the store, and get some gas, I don't need so much this week, the car sit a lot last week. I may just stop at the dollar store and see what is new. After taking care of things I hope to work in the yard. Tackle another bed. Yesterday I did pull more weeds, and cut back lots of blooms, like daylilies, balloon flowers, and pulled some of those hot pink plants (Rose ?). Mary sounds like you had a fun time. I thought Valerie just brought a new car?
Mary in Mi. Too sad that is has to be a funeral to see family. But I know that how it goes.
Lair, I do hope you had a good day yesterday!
Angela, that's what I need to do, clean out the refrig and clean the top of the stoves.
gkids, Sounds like you had a fun day.
Jan, I guess I will be looking for that movie, Nine Lives, I haven't see it. I watched BBc a lot yesterday, the hunt, about mother nature.
Well this has taken me a long time, see ya later

Morning Carol and others who stop by. It is a cloudy and less humid morning here so far. My brain tells me to go out and dig those lilies in before the sun comes out but my body says NO. What a day we had yesterday, it was a long one but an enjoyable one. Spent most of it on the bleachers at the ski show and soaking up lots of Vit. C. and therefore I am stiff today. I have a tendency to get stiff if I sit too long and those bleachers are not conducive to relaxing. :) Thankfully every once in awhile a nice breeze would blow across the water so we weren't to "wilted" by the time things were over. Dil and I left before the awards were given and haven't talked to son yet today. He wasn't even near ready to go, they had to pack up and wait for the awards. Everything was an hour late as one of the earlier skier from another team had a major accident going off the slide and hit the slide instead of clearing it. They took him to the hosp. but don't know how he's doing. That put a bit of a "damper" in the day.
I hear a school bus going by. Would you believe our kids start school today and a full day at that. WAY too early. I was kidding gs yesterday about him being so happy to start school today and he just shook his head.
Since I pretty much did nothing over the week-end, I guess I need to do a bit of inside work today.
Have a wonderful day everyone.

Good Morning, it is overcast this morning and not sure of the temp. My indoor/outdoor thermometer isn't working, the inside is but the outside says L8. The TV says 69*. Yesterday was a long day for some reason. It didn't get that warm, only 88* but we had full sun and no breeze so 5 minutes out there and I was just wilted. After all the rest yesterday I still have no energy today but I will have to change that. There is so much to catch up on since I have not done anything the last 5 days. I'm sure the weeds are all tall enough now so I won't have to get on my knees. I will have to get the veggies ready so Tim can take them to the nurses at chemo office. He is not feeling good and it is worse daily. He is having to make a bathroom run every 2 hours, night and day, and I am seeing lots of hair in the shower. He didn't lose his hair last time but last time he didn't have radiation too. I did a lot of reading on the board yesterday but I am short on time now to make comments. I will just wish you all a good day now and check back later. Lair

Good Foggy morning all :) It is foggy here a bit humid but the windows are open to let fresh air in. 71 degrees now but didn't listen to any weather reports yet for today.
I was outside for a bit already & cut off the glad spikes that were done. This is the first year I've planted them & they actually bloomed. Couple of years ago I planted 12 bulbs & not a one bloomed--needless to say I didn't bother to dig them in the fall. These I will.
Carol--where is the 'thingy' to bring back your post if you lose it. I lost one the other day & just started over & made it short but it wasn't real sweet because it perturbed me that I lost it.
No DR visits for 10 days but have taxi-ing for Carlen this week. Next week school starts for them so hopefully my taxi won't be needed. I have suspect that I/we will be having Riley often with Carlen involved in school stuff.
I guess I should go dig up some breakfast & get this day on the road--you all take care
Jan

Morning all! Woke to the windoscall fogged up. Guess it must have gotten a bit cool last night. All good now with the sun shining beautifully. We're expecting highs of close to 80° though thunderstorms are quite possible. It will be what it will be! 😊
Carol & Jan, the post saver is under your profile, edit profile, settings & click on Enable Drafts. Hope you can find this easily.
Nothing world shattering happening here as usual. It's hum-drum Monday! :-) Looks like I need to make some beet (borscht) soup since I have 4 beets on hand. It's one of Ray's favorites & if I make enough he'll have a few lunches handy. Also must plan on using the zucchini I have!
Enough of my chit chat. You're liking nodding off now! LOL See you all around the 'hood, Have a nice day.

Hello! We've had rain all day, which we needed badly, but this is day 3! It's time for it to move on! My plants and flowers in hanging pots are all beaten down. I'm pretty sure they won't survive this heavy duty soaking. My bird feeders are empty except for the hummers', but they are very close to empty. I'll make some food for them and hope for a break in the rain to fill their bottles.
I decided today would be a good day to try a new recipe. I made mini lemon bundts, and they are delicious! I'm headed to the kitche now to make a lemon sauce to pour over when served. A nice little treat!
Sounds like everyone is quite busy. Hope you've had a great day!
Rett OH, dear, looks like I need to get my avatar on here!

It is raining! glad I went to the store around noon. yes Jan a 'like' button would be so nice.
Caden those canned tomatoes will come in handy later. I have a daughter that is a canning fool. She keeps buying bookcases for her basement because she cans all the time. Even in the winter time. Rett, the lemon bundts sound so good. I am going to do fried green tomatoes again this evening. The disappearance of my previous post was of my own doing. I clicked on Reply over there on the right. Duh! I might be back later on the evening chat thread. I like that thread.

Lair you have all those stars!! Well in my eyes you are a star!
Poor Tim, what a rough time he has been having and such a worry too for you. Tough time for you fellas.
Angela I loked at the directions you posted and I am sure I will find them handy in the future.
Carol,I found out that I have two great nephews with the same name. One in Lansing and one in Kansas city Missouri. I thought they were one and the same on FB. Silly me.
I so much want to post pictures but don't know how to do it here. Besides that I have had trouble with Photobucket for two years now. Can I just drop PB and switch to TinyPics and how do I do that?

Hi All, We just got home from the Iowa State Fair. OMG, my poor feet! It was 6.5 hours of walking. It took us over 45 minutes of creeping along in traffic just to get to the fairground parking lot. I think we did really well to get done in that amount of time; sometimes it takes us 8 hours or more to get through a whole fair. I took some pictures of the flowers in the big fair gardens. They changed it around some.
Carol, It was my son that just bought a new vehicle. He had to turn in his 3 yr. rental car. Valerie bought her car new 8.5 yrs. ago. She has 95,000+ miles on it so she's the one looking.
Today is Valerie's 33rd birthday so we're all going out for supper later. We have a cheesecake in the frig for her 🎂
I'm on my phone so I'm gonna make this short. We will be going home tomorrow morning.
