Michigan Sauce-wilderness
Beef, Sauces
Prep Time: 10 Minutes Cook Time: 45 Minutes Total Time: 55 Minutes Ingredients
1 lb. Ground Beef T Oil 1 C onion finely chopped 2 Cloves Garlic minced 1 C Chili Sauce (I use Ketchup) 1 8 oz. Can Tomato Sauce 1 1/2 T. Worcestershire Sauce 1 1/2 T. Mustard 1 1/2 tsp Sugar Little Red Pepper Salt and Pepper to taste Directions
1. Add oil to frying pan and sauté beef until no longer pink. You don't want chucks of meat so break it up very fine with a potato masher while cooking. I usually add a little water to help break down the beef while cooking. Remove beef from pan and set aside. 2. Wipe pan out and add a little more oil and sauté onions until soft and add garlic until you smell it. 3. Add meat back into the pan and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and simmer for 45 minutes or until desired thickness. Should be quite thick.
Spoon over a steamed hotdog in a steamed bun.
