Chinese Upside Down Casserole-Tamaralynn
1 lb ground meat, or leftover cooked chicken (I used the cooked chicken) 1 large onion, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 1 small can sliced water chestnuts, drained 2-3 t. dry onion soup mix 1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted 1/2 t. black pepper 1 can chow mein noodles 1 can bean sprouts, optional (I did not use)
Brown meat. Add onions, celery, and water chestnuts. Stir and cook just a few minutes. Add soups and pepper. Pour into a casserole dish. Top with noodles. Bake 25 minutes at 350*. When serving I added a few splashes of soy sauce.
