Butternut Pound Cake-Bearlyc
1 C. Butter Flavor Crisco 3 C. AP Flour 1 Stick of Butter 1 C. Buttermilk 3 C. Sugar 1 tsp. Baking Powder 6 Eggs 1 T. Butternut Flavoring Cream Crisco, butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Combine buttermilk and flavoring.
Starting with flour mixture, add alternately with buttermilk, ending with flour. Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan.
DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN. Put cake in the oven and set to 315* and bake for 1 hour. Increase heat to 320* for 10-15 minutes or until cake tests done.
