Been out mowing, but had to come inside to cool off. Even though my phone says it's only mid 80s and I was going on and out of the shade, I just got too hot.
From last night's chat, A note about seeing other posts while posting. If I don't click on desktop on my phone I don't see them. I just get a box like the quick reply. But it is difficult to scroll down to read them anyway, but at least I can if I need to.
Sandy, sorry about your relationship with DD. At least you tried. I have some rather strained relationships with several sons right now in part because of someone who isn't really a family member. And because of circumstances we can't go back to the way things were before this person came along. I'm just trusting God to handle it, even of they aren't looking to Him for guidance. Recently my new pastor told me I was a strong lady. Someone had told him some things about me and my life. What he doesn't know is that there is a good bit more to the story that no one in church knows. I do hope that one day your daughter will see that you live her and want what is best for her.
Better get back outside.

Good morning. It's looking rather promising for more rain around here, and the forecast is backing that up. Judging by what I heard on the news this morning, the later we get in the day the more likely it is for rain. I think what we are getting is coming in from the mess the Gulf has been dealing with over the weekend. What a nightmare for the poor people down south of us! It would appear that we should be relatively cool for most of this week. Thank you, Jesus, for that!!!
Not much planned for the day. Now that I am showered and dressed, I am toying with the idea of going up to the church and getting a yard sign for our 175th anniversary as a church. I've been meaning to do that but keep forgetting. While there, I am going to check into DH's family records if they will let me. May as well kill two birds with one stone, as they say. I should also work on a meal plan. I haven't done that in a while. The one I have now is looking pretty sparse! I guess I can do that when it is raining this afternoon.
DM has a doctor's appointment in town tomorrow so she said she'd like to stop by and look at DSon and DDIL's wedding photos. I'll be glad for the help because DH is not giving me one ounce of assistance in picking pics. LOL!
Guess that is about it for me. Nothing exciting, and nothing bad. :))
Ezdoesit, I do love your literary quotes! I look forward to them.
Sorry to hear about your mother, Carol. I hope today is better for her. I do have your name right, don't I, sony2u2? That is what I wrote down on my cheat sheet, but I don't see your name in your siggie so I am not sure now. ;)
Melissa, I envy you your cauliflower. My attempt was a disaster. DH will be most happy if I never try to grow it in a pot again. LOL!
You are here this morning, Molly! YAY! Truly, my day seems brighter when I see you on the board.
Charlene, I already started saving seeds from my cleome because the pods have been splitting open for about a month now. I saved some a few weeks ago to start early. Yesterday I tossed the ones I harvested in a spot of the yard that I would like to see them grow next year. We'll see what happens. I keep hearing that cleome reseeds readily. I have not found that to be true, but I will hope for the best next year. Now that I think of it, I better go make a note in my garden journal so I will know next year what I did this year. I'm pretty sure I would be able to identify cleome coming up, but one never knows ...
Well, I am sitting here with wet hair so I better go dry it. I had been reading earlier when the doorbell rang. I was unshowered and in my jammies so I didn't open the door. Instead, I jumped in the shower and came right back here. Wishing you all a marvelous Monday! Waving at anyone I missed while typing.

Good morning, some of you talk about the hot weather, I know you aren't use to that. It has been hot mid 90s and up for awhile but we did get rain off and on. We never got really dry and our grass never got brown. We now have over 3" of rain so thankful it is upper 70. Today I will go over to my other home. Lily I understand your feelings on moving. I stayed in my home for a year after my husband passed. I almost fell a number of times and all my kids lived 100 miles away so now I live with my twin girls. I stay a week with each. I have my own room with TV and my computer at each place. The girls are flower gardeners too. They are both retired and really into flower gardening and veggie gardening. So had fun helping them. They are already planning for next year. I better get going and get my laundry done. Abey

My grandmother, and her mother before her went between children when life dictated it for them. My grandmother went every other month between my mom's place and my uncle's house. That was hard enough. I cannot imagine making the move weekly, but maybe that is the better way to do it. Much less tension that way. My great-grandmother kind of went with the flow between her kids. I don't think there was a set schedule for her moves. Anyway, I think you did right by making the move like you did. I wish my mother would be flexible like that, but she is bound and determined to stay in her house with her rascal of a dog. My uncle is terrified that the dog will knock Mom down one day and really hurt her. DH swears the dog will knock her down the stairs. I sure hope not!
