Good morning All..................
61 this morning and around 80 later with low humidity. It is going to be another beautiful day.
Didn't do much yesterday. Sat on the front porch and visited with people as they passed by. I was more tired last night than if i had worked all day. LOL More of the same today. People coming sometime this morning to watch the parade which starts at 1. Hate to wish my life away but will be glad when tomorrow comes. LOL
Hope you all have an enjoyable Sunday.......................larry

Good morning everyone. Feels a little less humid this morning. It must be my age I don't like so hot and humid. I went to town yesterday looking for a free standing air conditioner didn't find one will have to go to Steve's favorite store :D . My oldest dd is coming for supper today . I haven't seen her since the end of June. We are having Chicken, fresh potatoes, and corn .
I'm not sure what else I will get into today. Have a peaceful day.

Good morning. 69 this morning and mostly cloudy right now. We could have some isolated T storms today and also see a little sun. It will be in the mid 80's and still humid.
Yesterday was a very busy day trying to get ready for dinner tonight. I did manage to get the house pretty much picked up and things put where they go, got the pork in the brine and made 3 spreads plus pita chips for snacks with cocktails tonight. Just finished getting the pork out of the brine and the dry rub on it. Will start smoking it between 11 and 12 this morning. Hopefully I will be done cleaning by then and can concentrate on getting all the prep work done ready to cook the meal.
Not much else happening in my world today.
Have a great day.

Good morning everyone. Thunder again last night but like the past few days it does not rain. We need it. Everything is so dry. Been pulling plants out of my garden that didn't do well for lack of rain. No idea what today's weather will be. So repetitious I quit listening. Have a wonderful day

Good morning. Larry, my temp right now is about what your high will be. I do need to water the pots on the porch after church. Other than that I will be cleaning, doing laundry, and maybe working on the videos for the children's ministry.

Good morning all. Overcast this morning. We had some wonderful rain yesterday and overnight. Not sure what the weather outlook for today is.
Sandy, I just might have to mow my lawn this week. Could still use more rain though.
Church this morning. Laundry and bills this afternoon. Can't believe another workweek is here already. Have a blessed day all.

Hello all
It is already in the 80s here and going higher with the humidity it is yucky as my grandson would say. Stayed up watching the Olympics last night so over slept this morning. Having my coffee before I decide what this day shall bring. Maybe more binge watching of the Olympics, then I don't have to go outside.
Have a good day

Good morning. We are overcast and have the chance of some showers here and there throughout the day. The final day (today) of a hot air balloon fest to the south of us had to be canceled because of the weather - too cloudy and chance of storms. It was to be a 3 day event that never got off the ground (pun intended ;) ) I really cannot complain about our weather too much. We're to be cooler for a while and we've had rain in small dribs and drabs for the past 3 days. The grass is really starting to make a come-back. I listened to the forecast this morning and heard that our high will only be in the upper 70s on Tuesday. That will be amazing even if it is just for one day! I guess our mugginess is going to hang around through at least tonight. I was hoping for it to be gone by then. We shall see ...
No real plans for the day. DH has a work appointment this afternoon, which is an oddity for us. Perhaps I will play around in the kitchen while he is gone. While he was at the street fair concert last night I decided to surprise him with a chocolate bundt cake to have with his coffee when he got home. It did not come out of the pan as it should, but it did taste good. Can't have everything, can I?
Larry, I am happy to hear that your weather will be downright perfect for the festivities today. I hear you on not wanting to wish your life away. I feel that way all the time. I hope you find plenty of things to enjoy today!
I love your Sue Monk Kidd quote, Ezdoesit! I never read that book, but it is on my "Someday list" of things to read.
Sandy, I am wishing you the best of everything for your DD's visit today. Your menu sounds yummy. Good luck finding the A/C unit you are looking for at Steve's favorite place!
I'm also hoping your dinner with the neighbors goes well, Bette. It sounds like a lot of work to me. I hope it is appreciated.
Robin, I hope your weather changes soon. How frustrating to hear the thunder and not end up with any rain!!! I saw a drought map of NW Ohio this morning. Surprisingly, we are not in a drought in my area. Others are in terrible shape. The map didn't go in your direction, but I have no doubt you'd be in a very different color code than we are. I am sorry for your conditions!
Good luck with all that you have on your agenda today, Leslie. I don't even want to think about how hot it is where you live! How are your children's videos coming along?
Wendy, the weekends sure do seem to go by fast, don't they? The workweeks, though, can drag on and on. While it may have been short, it sounds like your weekend went well. I'm glad.
Waving at you this morning, Dave. Your day does sound nice.
Carol, we were up late watching the Olympics also. It is funny how we pay attention to some sporting events during the Olympics that we would never take the time to watch any other time. I guess it is the Olympics that makes them special.
Well, I have to move on with my day now. It is so nice being here these days that I find it hard to do much of anything else. The ease of the site is phenomenal! The new friends are awesome, and I am finding some of my hidden interests being appreciated here as well. I expected to have my gardening friends here. There'd probably be some birding friends here also. What I didn't expect was to enjoy the cooking aspect of the board as much as I am, and now there is a reading thread that is challenging me, as well. Needless to say, I couldn't be happier with this board if I tried. Have a spectacular Sunday!

Good morning.
The temp will be about the same as yesterday, 83º, but with lower humidity.
I wore myself out yesterday so I don't plan on doing a lot today except I need to get my laundry done. I may run a bunch of tomatoes over to a son's and then a daughters house. What I can't get rid of from now on I will be tossing away.
Sat outside this morning having my coffee. Haven't been able to do that much this summer because of the early morning heat and humidity which besides being miserable feeling it is the kind of weather the gnats like.

Good morning. 66 in Minneapolis right now going to 88. Thats ok 'cause we're going home today and the high at home is only 79. I'm ready for some cooler up north temps! Man, I'd die of the heat if I lived down south (and I mean south MN! LOL! I'd probably combust if I lived by Leslie!!).
We will stop at my moms on the way home and drop off 2 children. The youngest are going to spend the week at grandmas hanging out with the cousins. My niece is 8 (dd is almost 10), and my great nephew is almost 11 (ds is 12). My oldest dd starts volleyball this week so she will come home. Her and I will go down for the weekend to visit. Ds1 starts 2 a day football practice this week as well.
Beyond traveling home that will be about it for us. By the time we get home it will be unloading/unpacking. THen I will watch olympics. Tommorrow will be spent in the garden. I dvr'd all the oylmpics while we were gone so will have plenty to go thru while snapping beans!
HOpe everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful morning and promises of a perfect day for our parade. I was here earlier reading with good intentions of posting, but DS stopped over, so had to visit with him for a bit on the front porch.
I did slip away to go to my nieces wedding last night. It was outdoors and I wished I would have had a camera since they had the ceremony right at sunset and the backdrop was the valley of Forestville state park...just gorgeous! I didn't stay for the reception and dance, but happy that I was able to make the ceremony. Her husband is Japanese and wore the traditional Kimono...loved that extra touch to the ceremony. He said his vows to her in English and she said hers to him in Japanese....thought that was cool.
Larry is sweeping and rearranging the front porch since people are coming to sit and watch the parade. I invited Lily, but not sure if she is coming or not. For the next couple of weeks she will be staying with her son & dil which live 5 miles from us. I gave her an open invitation to stop by any time she needed to get away.
No time to comment to all...but waving at you and wishing you a wonderful Sunday. I so enjoy seeing new faces here on the patio every morning! Safe travels to those on the road today and happy picnicing to those doing that today...glad to hear Wendy finally got some rain. Charlene

Good morning everyone! Day 3....overcast and rain! I don't mind. The ground needed a good watering.
Yesterday I ended up going to my DD for dinner. Mind you I came just after lunch so I could spend more time with my DGSs. Believe it or not, I taught my 10 year old DGS to knit....yes, you read it right. Apparently men do like to knit. I ended up taking home my youngest grandson for a 2 day visit. This will give my DD a breather....just with the 'new' knitter...lol
Not sure what Adam and I will do today due to the weather. A movie would be a good idea, but the boys have seen the latest pet one. We'll have to plan something.
Have a good day!
