Good afternoon. Sunny and 58 now. It was a little on the cool side for our walk this morning but I didn't need a sweater.

Karen, I am so sorry for your loss. That is young but we never know, do we? I had a brother who died in his sleep at 48.

I went for my first shot this morning. I'm sure tomorrow I may be sore. Oldest son's mother-in-law couldn't lift her arm after the second one. Our hospital set up a site at our local fairgrounds and with the National Guard and volunteers directing everything it was easy. One guardsmen even took me from my car to the building where they had the shots on a golf cart, even though it isn't a long walk. The company has said they will pay employees for their time if they have it so I'll find out next payday if they come through on that.

Better eat lunch since I have to go up front as soon as my lunch is over. She is taking a later lunch since I wasn't here to relieve her earlier, and then it won't be long before the day is over.

We've been lower 40s & windy all day so felt colder than that.

Karen, I'm sorry to hear about your BIL. I wasn't sure if it was DH's brother or not but Charlene cleared that up.

Kathy, I must say your DD  is being accommodating.  That has to help with living there.  Here people take their mask off once they've ordered their meal or some take it off as soon as they sit down.

I did my shopping adventure today.  First time since last Spring except for necessities .  Got some new mats for the kitchen, a needed new toilet seat & this & that along with some groceries.

Big Lots was rearranging the inside of their store.  Shelving sections all over the place & aisles blocked with carts  of products.  I stayed 5 min. & left.

Then on the way home , they were working on the road & had one lane blocked.  Several cars pulled off at a marked exit & took a road that went parallel to the hwy.  I figured that probably came back out on the hwy somewhere so I followed them.That didn't work out too well.  The lead cars got too far out in front to see where they went & then the 2 or 3 cars in front of me went in different directions from each other. By then I had no idea where I was. I ended up in a residential area & asked some guy that was getting his mail how to get back to the hwy.  He set me straight. Turned out I wasn't too far off after all.

Bet, I am always moving something to  "better place for it" & then having to search for it.
