Has anyone tried this feature? Is it truly private, meaning admins and moderators cant see it? Just wondering. Been thinking of trying it out soon.

Yes, I've done it & rec. a few. Works the same as always. I assume Private means just that.

How do you get to Private Messages? That is a good feature.

Joyce Joyce, you can either go to the top of the page where it says "Messages" to send a PM, or you can click on someone's name and it will take you to their profile page. There is a button there that would allow you to send one. If you go with the first choice, you have to add the person's name. If you use their profile page, it doesn't look like you do. When you get a message there will be a notice at the top of your page, and you may get an email depending on your settings? |

Thank you, Karen. I will check it out. Dors this have anything to do with "friending" someone? So much to learn, but I'll get there eventually.

I am not sure about the "friending" feature here. I have not used it, but I have still sent and received PMs, so you don't have to be friends to PM with someone unless maybe they have their settings set for that. I think the way it used to be was that you could choose to receive PMs from anyone or just from those you were "friends" with on the the B&B site. On B&B, I did have my settings to only receive messages from my friends. Not sure why I opted for that, but I did. I see that some people are being "followed" by others. I'm not sure what that means either. |

I was curious & just checked all the profile features. Doesn't seem to be any "Friends" feature here. Looks like you can send & receive message to & from anybody. I think it is easier to just click on their avatar & go from there.
