Good Morning!! Another cloudy wet morning its 34* and that is also the high, temps not going anywhere. No big plans for today, will do some sorting of things, make a list of what I'm to take to Lori's Friday, and what I need to buy yet. Nothing big to do. Just got done talking with older sister, she is doing good, even did her own shopping yesterday. I do think she will be 86 In February. She does real good for her age. Yesterday I didn't do a whole lot, should of ran the shark but didn't. Just wrapped some small gifts, made a couple of meals and did the dishes. Did some reading I have a few Birds and Blooms magazines I haven't read, so I'm catching up with them. But I see I still have about 3 that haven't even been open, I will have lots of reading to do in the next few months. Leroy, Yes I'm still seeing the Medicare commercials, but at least Joe is done. Mary, Pretty snowflake, I couldn't do them now, too small of hook and yarn. Poor little Hudson, first haircuts are always hard and sad. Kay, Good thing for bread in the freezer, I couldn't get along without it. Yes I'm feeling a little poor, darn car insurance is due the 25th. So I need to look at the map, is TN. closer then OK? Or the other way around. Lair, It feels so good to have our fur babies love us. Carolyn, Guess I need to try a veggie omelet. Jan, I don't do much baking, the kids always have so much for us. Well I guess thats about it for now, time for more Have a great Sunday.

Good morning. 31, going to 42 later on. Partly sunny, with little breeze right now.
Not much going on here. I need to go through a few recipes, and make sure I have all the things to make them, If not, then there will be a list for Adam to pick up tomorrow. Shouldn't need too much.
Hey Carol. you must get different commercials than me. Joe is still there and just as obnoxious as ever. All they did was change a few words here and there, so it would work for the all next year till October, and then it will be the hurry up and do this again.
Some of our snow should melt today - a little more if the sun stays out. We might not make it to a White Christmas this year. The days ahead show lots of sun, and a little warmer temps some days.
Have a good day.

Good Morning, the sun is out bright and there is frost on everything. Must have had fog earlier while I was sleeping. It is 17º going up into the 30's today. Yesterday it was dark and gloomy all day. I had a nice day because I found a program on animal planet channel. Each hour they covered 2 or 3 animals telling about their life and problems being zoo guests. All was very interesting especially the programs from Australia and the animals there. While watching that I made 4 loaves of bread which turned out real good again. I also had a large package of hamburger with a torn package so I made a large meatloaf. I also looked up ways to serve leftovers because I will have those for a week. One sounds interesting, spaghetti and meatloaf. There is also a veggie soup that could be good. I am not sure what insurance you are talking about but I did get a few calls about switching out of Medicare what ever sense that would make, and who is Joe? Not much else so that is about it for me. No planning or trips to talk about, just a quite week at home. You all have a good day and stay safe.

Joe Montano? Don’t like hearing him either. Took my DGS to work. Now I am having breakfast/lunch. Beans, broccoli and beets. With a chicken sandwich. Lair, the bread sounds good. I made 3 pounds of peanut butter fudge and 3 of chocolate fudge. Going to make some orange and cream. And still have the salties to make. That is pretzels and peanuts with white chocolate. Will make this short and say hi to all. Carol the lady I was asking about lives in California. I think Charlene and Lair know her ?? Always loved her posts. She was so upbeat. BBL

Good Afternoon,
Sunny and heqded towards 50 today.
Cinnamon rolls are in the oven and then I will unload the dishwasher and plop in front of the TV for a while, I guess.
keysc, the town my kids bought the house in is Lenoir City. Don't know a thing about it except it's at the base of the Appalachian Mountains.
Carol, Oklahoma is way closer.
Everybody have a relaxing day!
Lair, I have some hamburger to deal with in the refrig, so maybe I'll make some meatloaf later this afternoon, too.

Good afternoon. Made it to church finally then out for breakfast. Going to take the stuff out to DSIL so he can got thru it and whatever he does not want or need can go to the charity. Also taking part of the gifts from under our tree to their house so less to carry on Thursday.
I did get a load of laundry done that include my & DH's coats so they are dry and back in the closet.
I think the Joe they are talking about is Joe Namath who is in the Medicare commercial and gets old and tiresome fast....but maybe I just watch too much TV.
I guess I missed some things on yesterday so need to go back and read.
Have a great day!

Mary B, to starch your star this is what my grandma did back in the day with the lacy doilies that stood up. She used a mixture of sugar and water instead of starch and it makes them very stiff. You have to lay it flat then stretch and shape it and let it dry...I have no idea the proportions but you can probably find that on the internet.

Connie, You are so right, about Joe, it seems like he was on every other commercial and so loud. He couldn't keep his hands still. Glad I don't have to hear him any more. Just maybe I'm on the wrong channels. He doesn't do the western channels.

Good Evening, A very unproductive day here. I tried to make a snowflake using thread but my eyes and hands didn't like working with that small of a thread. I had it almost done but my hands were cramping up so I just ripped it out. Carol, you can make snow flakes out of yarn.
I've been researching the different types of stiffeners and not liking most of them as they dull the colors or just look off and ruin the crispness of the piece. I researched the sugar and water that Connie mentioned but people warned that when you store them they can draw critters like ants and if they are around humidity they will melt. I'm guessing you would have to store them in ziploc bags or something. I've watched videos of people using glue/water, the old fashioned starch and also spray starch, a paste of cooked corn starch/water, stiffeners, etc. I haven't seen anything yet that I'm happy with. I might try putting another coat of the spray starch on my snowflake and see what that does. It dried stiff like a starched shirt but not stiff that doesn't bend like I want.
I've pretty much spent the whole day on the computer. I started out with 'church' and then went to researching different snowflake patterns; how to block snowflakes, music videos, and other odd and ends videos. Then I worked on that snowflake I ripped out. The thread was so hard to work with as it's very stiff and I had to constantly redo stitches. I originally bought the thread for tatting. It works great for that. I'm basically making snowflakes for my own enjoyment right now but I might make some to give next year.
I just checked my town newspaper facebook page and this county had another 23 cases of Covid reported today. There have been 272 cases in the first 20 days of this month. We only had 1 case yesterday but they said only two people were tested. Today had 39 people tested with 23 positive. We'll probably be the worst of 99 counties in the state again at this rate.
I guess I'll do some more computer surfing or maybe TV. I'll also need to get supper.
