Chocolate Frosting for Mini Cakes-wilderness
1/2 Cup Sugar 2 T + 2 tsp shortening 2 T milk 1/2 oz. unsweetened Chocolate 1/2 tsp vanilla
Put all ingredients except vanilla in a 1 qt. sauce pan. Stir just to combined. Bring to a full boil over medium high heat and allow to boil without stirring for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in Vanilla. Continue stirring until the frosting has cooled to a spreadable consistency. Spread over top of cake.
NOTE: This is enough frosting for a 4 or 5 inch square cake or 4" mini round cake including sides. Bet
