Is everyone too bashful to start this tonight? There is NO ONE designated to start this...so go for it. I feel I have started enough threads today, but happy to do this. I have quite a few things to do before I call it a day, so I will just open this and hopefully be back later.

Thanks for starting this Charlene. DH watching football so I am playing on the iPad. I am enjoying the garden shed here on pro boards. Thank you and Bette for getting us going on here. I have followed B&B for years. Mostly just read, posting once in awhile. Have a good evening all.

Good evening, Where is everyone? I'm waiting for it to rain but it looks like it all missed us again. All we are getting is flash flood warnings. Hope we get some rain overnight or I'll be watering tomorrow. Everyone have a good evening.

Good evening. It has been a long hard day but won't go into detail except I got sent home about 3 this afternoon as I wasn't feeling well from the heat think I may of had a little heat exhaustion. Feeling fine not but still hot for this neck up the woods. Our heat index was 101.
Trouble and I were out on the back deck with a nice fire going in the fire pit a little while ago. I had my laptop out there and had planned on spending some time here. However the bugs liked the screen on the laptop so have moved back inside. My bedroom has cooled down some but here in the main house it is still quite warm.

Hot, hot, hot!!!!! It is so humid and still here its just gross! We had to set up the screen house to cook dinner as it was very buggy at the park we are at. After sitting there sweating like pigs we decided to go in to town for ice cream. Having culvers. Gonna head back soon, shower, and read with fans blowing on me! I think everyone is ready to go home b/c this heat is too much.
We did have a nice time at the little house museum. Got dd a bonnet and some doll clothes for her birthday. She wants grandma to make her an outfit for halloween. Grandma said oh great! (Sewing not her favorite).
Guess its time to hit the road. Have a great night.

Good evening. Glad to hear you are feeling better Bette. This heat is never ending. Weather. Person said heavy rain tomorrow I just hope we get some rain. Another day of only working outside in the morning. The yard is looking pretty rough. Have a good night, and try to stay cool.

Good afternoon everyone. Wow nice group of posters today. I wish I could reply to each one but with both hands messed up I am not able too. I do read every post :) so know who's up to what.
CHARLENE - I did go out after midnight the other night and did the rain dance. Shhhh don't tell anyone because they will think I've gone bonkers LOL. Guess what????
IT IS RAINING AND HAS BEEN FOR THE PAST HOUR. Yippppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
We even pulled our chairs to the dining room window so we could see it coming down. We have needed this so bad, of course it won't be enough to call off the water ban but everything is getting a nice drink. The first part has knocked down some flowers but at this stage the rain is more important...
Oh boy it's so hot here, over 100 so I can only imagine what it will be like after the rain.
I am getting my story done, doing it in word whenever my fingers co-operate but enjoy reading everyone else's. :)

Sorry to hear you had to endure the miserable heat and humidity we have been having Melissa. We have had it almost all summer long although I didn't think today was too bad. I have been so envious of your weather at home. We did get 1.06 inches of rain on my side of town, finally! They promise we will get more after midnight, yippee. I may be able to pull some of those weeds that have taken over everything if the soil is wet.
Didn't do much today after work. Tried to take a nap but couldn't fall asleep even though I was very tired.

Was wondering why no chit chat earlier and decided everyone was busy chatting here all day instead. Just going to shut down my computer and surprised to see folks here.
I had another busy day trying to clean the house somewhat for the new owners. Washed all the kitchen cupboards and other odd spots. Tired tonight from stepping up and down and reaching up.
Woke up to a heavy rain at 6 a.m. and puddles of water on east window sills and throw rugs by the back door soaked again. I think they mentioned rain overnight, but I didn't close doors or windows, so my mistake! Just north of us a ways they had 7" of rain, records for this day. Showed pictures of a farm that looked like it was in the middle of a lake and poor cows standing in deep water. Lots of flooding up there. Thankful we didn't get that! Once the sun came out and the sky cleared, a nice breeze kept it comfy here all day.
Bette, sorry you weren't feeling well today. I'm sure this heat is wearing on you day after day at work. May you have a cool and restful night.
Melissa, glad you enjoyed the museum and avoided any storms out that way. One north of Rochester area received a lot of damage from last nights storm, and some trailers had water almost to their steps.
Carol and Donna, strange how some of us are getting a deluge of rain and it skips others completely day after day!

Good evening. I never made it to the VIP this morning, but I have been posting elsewhere. It seems I was too busy flitting from thread to thread to make it there earlier. I planned to start the Chit Chat tonight since I missed the VIP, but again, I got waylaid by posting on other threads. It's so very nice to have so much activity going on here, isn't it? We got rain twice today. Mostly all it did was serve to make it more humid, if that could even be possible. Tomorrow is still supposed to be hot and humid before things sort of cool down for a few days. I didn't have to water today, which was super nice. I'm thankful for that! Since I didn't have to water, I didn't stick my nose out the door once. DH got the mail when he came home for lunch, so I didn't even have to do that.  God bless the man! I am sure it is still steamy outside, but I am going out in a little bit to see if I can see some shooting stars. I've been out the past two nights and saw nothing because of the cloud cover. DH said earlier that he thought tonight would be better. I hope so. He went into the shed this morning and brought out the lounge chair so I can sit with my head back and look up to the sky. Previously, I have gotten a sore neck from sitting with my head tilted back without any support. I don't know why we finally remembered the lounge chair in the shed. This is maybe the 3rd meteor shower event that I have gone outside for and came away sore because of no neck support. I think we might be slow in learning some lessons these days...  Melissa, I got a chuckle out of your DD wanting her grandma to make her an outfit for Halloween - and grandma's reaction. That would be my reaction too! LOL! Well, I am getting pretty tired right now, and if I plan on going outside to take advantage of the peak night of the meteor showers, I guess I better go now. See you all in the morning. At least that is my plan. :) |

Hello and goodnight everyone. I looked forward to coming here this evening but lots of phone calls and had a not too busy day but was still tired, weary I guess I would call it form the awful week so far. I have to get to bed now. Going down to fort Wayne in the around noon tomorrow for my sister in law's visitation rather than for the funeral which will be so early saturday morning. So all for this time.
Charlene I relalized later last night that I spelled your name wrong. I have a sister in law in Three Rivers who spells her's Charline since she found out at age 20 that it was spelled that way on her birth certificate. By mistake.
Amd yes I know you are that funny guy's sis. He always makes me grin.

I am tired...and truthfully the heat and humidity have taken a toll on me...plus, I think I have computer overload syndrome after the past couple days....I know this is big...but I think you get the idea....lol.
