I meant to mention this after I read your story, but I lost track of time with all the excitement going on here. Your musical experiences give you great familiarity with DH's and my favorite song 'Happy Together'. I was reminded of this when there was a commercial on last night for a musical tour coming to our area later in the month featuring Flo and Eddie. We saw them some time ago and loved it! Have you ever played in the Toledo, Ohio area before? Just curious.

Rick I also had a question for you. Did you use to post a few years ago on B&B? I remember talking with a Rick quite often and really enjoyed his pictures and he just disappeared.

Hi Karen, I played on an oldies tour for 5 or 6 nights with Flo and Eddie back in the mid 1980's. For some reason one of their guitar players couldn't continue the tour (illness?? I don't know.) Well I was called and got the gig with a 2 minute audition because I assured them that I knew all the songs that would be played on the tour. If I remember correctly I did not play in your area. About 20 years ago I was called to play a Chuck Berry concert in Cincinnati. He never toured with a band, he just expected the concert promoter to supply a band that knew his songs. I was called about 3 or 4 days before the concert and told to learn Chuck's songs. Thank God I already knew most of his songs.
Kathy - Yes I used to be on B&B. Good to hear from you.

Rick...did you hear that I secretly have a crush on you after hearing all the guys you played with and have met...lol. Seriously, you must be very good. I should get you a "gig" in our town....uh...village (less than 500 people) You can play and our grand daughter can sing. She is quite a singer at 19. She prefers country now, but thanks to her Grandma, she knows all of the oldies quite well...lol. She grew up across the street from us and spent a lot of time with me. I always had records on (yes, I still play records) or else I had the oldies channel on the radio. Good background music when I work or relax. Glad you are here. Charlene
