Banana Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting-cooktocook
Yield:4 dozen Ingredients: 1/2 cup softened butter 1 1/2 cups sugar 2 large eggs 1 cup sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla* 2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed up (about 1 cup) Frosting Ingredients: 1 pkg. softened 8oz. cream cheese 1/2 cup softened butter 2 tsp. vanilla* 3 3/4-4 cups confectioner's sugar Directions: 1--Preheat oven to 350*. In a large bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Combine flour baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in bananas. 2--Spread into a greased 9X13 pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Do not over bake. 3--Frost bars. Store in refrigerator. *I use banana extract for more banana flavor.
