Do you want a cooking board?

I have received suggestions that we have a separate cooking board so the cooks don't have to wade through all the threads on Gardening Chat to find their threads. Everyone would be able to see both board in the Gardener's Shed. It would not be difficult to move from one board to another.

Thank you for asking, I would be up for that. And for Bette, once again thank you for getting us started over here. I hope I'm not hurting your feelings. I know I will certainly visit the garden as for the first time in my life planted a small one this past Spring and could've used some advice.

If it's an easy fix, I think it would be great Bet. It would be easier for cooks and gardeners alike to check on their favourite topics.

Nancy...you aren't hurting anyones feelings.  Many of us come here for gardening topics while others come here for cooking topics...just because that is our interests and also where we know we will find our friends.  

Just because there will be a board for cooking doesn't mean that we can't intermingle back and forth as I am sure we will.  If we have a cooking question we will visit your board and if any of you have a garden question you will go to the gardening chat.  All are welcome in the morning and evening chit chat threads.  Charlene

I think it is a great idea, Bette.  I'd definitely visit both boards.  When you had Midwest up and running here at first, it seemed easy enough to navigate back and forth between the Gardener's Shed and that board.  I don't see why this would be any different. 

Love the polling feature by the way!  I wasn't sure what that meant when I saw the icon.  Now I know.   ;)

I'm all for it. I used to switch back and forth from several forums on TOH and now their Cooking for Two is a closed forum and don't like that idea at all!

Charlene, I would hope if there is a separate cooking area, there will be lots of switching between threads - just because someone prefers say, gardening, doesn't mean they may not also have an interest in cooking and vica versa.  What better way to meet some new friends.

Thank you.  Yes, I would like a cooking board.  I visited both on TOH but honestly I went to cooking first and more often.  Thank you for asking.  I love this new home and all the work that went into it.  Everyone has made me feel so welcome.

I would like a cooking board. It would be a good idea to mention this on the TOH Cook's Corner. So many are sad the BB is closing. I bet they would be happy to know a cooking board is available. Thanks ! :)

If this forum is to have a cooking area, then I agree Knickknack, that this information should be given to the Cooks Corner posters on TOH.  So much to do, so little time.
