Good Morning Grace and all. Its another warm morning and the humidity is high, a little fog with no sun as of yet. Its 73* and going to a high of 90 plus today with a small chance of rain tonight. I see its in Iowa today so maybe we will get some, we so need it. I need to get outside and do something, don't know what, the weeds just won't come out as its so dry, I have been digging them out, not in the lawn just in the flower beds. I could rake up some extra grass that's around from when Gage mowed Tuesday, and I'm going to clean the mud room this morning. After that its all inside, but I do have a hair appt. at 11 and going to go to Loris house and water her containers and check on the horses and the dog. The family is on a road trip and will be back about Saturday. Justin is home but works long hours, but I know the dog is well taken care of, but I don't think he does a lot with the plants, and I'm sure he feeds the horses but will just give them some extra. Yesterday was a pretty good day, no worries with Ray, but I wish the weather would cool down, he just can't do much in this weather. I don't think we sold much at the booth either, . Oh well another week is around the corner and maybe will sell more once the weather cools down. Gkids, good morning, Same here, do things in the morning and evening, then spend most of the day in the house. I have lots to do but just rather be outside. Your new plantings should be ok if you water them good, every day. Grace, I can't help you with the thing at the bottom, I'm not smart enough. We have a wood chuck, I think that is what you call ground hog. He is eating my sunflowers and breaking them all down. Mary, I'm not even going to try using my phone here, too small. I will try my tablet later today or evening when Ray is on the computer. I give you lots of credit for working outside in this heat. Lair Must be the fleas want in the house where its cooler. Enjoy this week before Tim's chemo treatments. Glad you supper was so good, just maybe Tim did take some vegs to the nurses and kept some for supper. Jan Why does Allen take Coumadin? Good luck with the job interview. Angela, I sure wish we could have a coolish day with rain, don't see that coming soon. Leroy, Good news on working 21 hours. You have done a great job with the quilts and you can pat yourself on the back for doing it. Sandy, If you have the surgery, how long will you be off work? I sometimes wear a brace on my left hand, but not like I did when I was working. Especially at school I wore it a lot. Mary in Mi. So sorry to hear about your past days, I do hope you can go to the funeral. The garage sale can wait. Did DD get home OK? Snow, I do hope you can go camping and enjoy yourself. Work should be slowing down . Those animals can get in so much trouble when home alone. I bet he didn't learn his lesson. Wow, that took me a long time, hope I didn't miss anyone. Now just need to recheck it. Carol

Morning. Just stopping in to wave to everyone today. Planning on heading out to get errands done early today before the H & H gets any worse. Expect heat index in 100's by noon. Then the weatherguessers are saying we're in for some bad storms later this afternoon and evening, will believe that when it happens. All the storms seem to by pass us, storms can stay away but sure could use some of that rain. My son is supposed to stop after work and bring me some tiger lilies to plant, ain't going to happen today, hope they like being in a bucket of water. He's also my "geek squad" guy and since he thinks my pc is on it's last legs, I bought a laptop and tried to set it up but got way too confused by that. It also has Windows10 on it and the PC has 7. Too much learning and changes for this "ole" brain.
Well, I'm off to go take a "sauna bath" outside between stops.
Have a good day all.

Good Morning everyone, it is overcast and 77* with a nice breeze out of the Sw I think. Any way it feels like a sauna here too. I have been busy since I checked the radar and see we have a big storm heading right at us. A hour ago the sun was shining. We have a place along the foundation where the water likes to come in when it rains hard. While the area is dry I ran down and ran the vacuum and picked up anything that would get into the drain. That's done, cats are fed, and I had some toast so ready to post. I spent most of the day on the computer yesterday but can't do that today because my elbow is sore from leaning on it all day. Tim made me promise I would not go outside while he was at his treatment so I was in A/C prison. Well he stopped and visited a friend on his way home and didn't get home until almost 7 last night. I could have been out a lot and he wouldn't have known unless I lay in a heap when he got home. Today I am going have to do some cleaning and who knows what else since after the rain this morning the sun is going to come out and steam us the rest of the day. We should all be done by the rain tonight. They forecast cooler tomorrow but humidity at 95%, I hope the percentage is wrong. OH, that was lightning so I should get off here. B bback later, You all have a good day. Good to see everyone yesterday.

Morning everyone! Another day around 70° & scattered thinderstorms. In fact, it is raining lightly right now. Hopefully I can get outside today! Yesterday was catch-up day indoors. Things got rather neglected while my sister was here! Must do a foray through the fridge & check on those million (or so it seems) cukes we have been given. Even have one bag that hasn't made it into the fridge. Guess we know where that one is going! Too, one zucchini takes a bit of space. Should figure out what I will do with it.
Mary in Michigan, my condolences to you & yours. What a very difficult few days you have had. Would have been nice if your daughter could have stayed with you to support you through this. Do hope she got home safely last night.
Just checked the time & I see have been online for the better part of three hours! 😊 Better be careful or I'll be taking root on my corner of the couch! Not a pretty sight, believe me!
Best mosey on & try to do something constructive around the place. Frankly, I'd rather be here chatting it up but real life does require some attention.
See you all later. Take care in the heat. Sounds dreadful in your areas.

Hey all, I'm back and on break. Well, we got a quarter inch of rain and lots of clouds but as of noon the sun is out. It is only 86 but if you walk around you would get wet it is so humid. I see on radar that Kathy is getting rain and it is heading this way. Should be here early evening. I sure hope it is cooler tomorrow so I can get outside. That vacuum and I are not getting any friendlier spending so much time together. I have not been here alone today. Our ghost is making a lot of walking noise all morning. Haven't heard from him for months so I wonder what is up with him. I can only wonder since he doesn't talk to us. Well, Tim just came home so I will go and talk to him. Later,

Hi Everybody, I was outside pulling weeds. Hey, I had to, it rained some time before I got up this morning so they pulled really easy. I pulled two 5 gal. buckets full of quackgrass and plantain. My trigger finger should be in fine form by tonight. It really didn't seem that hot out but the sweat started running in my eyes and I decided enough was enough. It was after noon when I came inside because I hear the church bells and then the neighbor came home and honked the car horn for her son. I heard her say, "What part of be there by noon don't you understand?" He's 14 and with the parents he's got, I think he functions pretty well. I think he was supposed to be at some sort of practice at school. It's 13 days till school starts! I can hardly wait!
MaryinMich, I missed reading your second post yesterday. Wow, talk about an overloaded plate. I extend my sympathy to you and your family.
Snow, We had two sheds brought in. One is mine and the bigger one is DHs. I've watched a few of these new vet shows, and I see some of the stuff these dogs eat and then need surgery. You got lucky. I saw one that ate one of the little kids socks and couldn't pass it; another one ate rocks (Why, I have no idea). I like watching Dr. Dee, Dr. Jeff, and the new one with the 3 vets in Texas.
Leroy, Boy, you sure are keeping busy. That plenty of hours for part time.
Well, I just ate my dinner. I don't know if I'll go back outside or not. I do need to go check the bee situation out. I have some bees trying to build a nest up at the roof peak on the house. I've blasted them out with the water hose a couple times. I need to go recheck that. I would think they would be getting the idea pretty soon that it's not a good place to live. I think there were maybe 6 wasps. I had to get my binoculars out and I still had a hard time seeing them. I have seen yellow jackets around lately also. I've seen them coming to our wood deck to get wood to make their paper nests. I swatted and killed the ones I saw, so either way, if you cross my path you're dead or relocated.
Well, it's now almost 5 and I am in for the day. I did get another bucket of quackgrass. For whatever reason I sweat the most on my forehead and temples, and it always runs to my eyes unless it drips off first because I bend forward. I did feel a few trickles run down the crack of my back but otherwise I don't sweat anywhere else. I saw it was 90º, but it really didn't feel that humid even with the rain this morning. Well I better be coming up with something for supper.

Evening everyone just checking in and saying we are getting a sprinkle out there the heavy rain went north and south of us again, so we got enough to wet the ground and make it more humid again heat index at 3 was 107 hate this humid weather there I said it again, and I hate the sub zero too but atleast then I can put more clothes on, I can't take any more off without getting arrested for fat hanging out. Took mother in law to her dr appointment and she will be the death of me yet, checked on her this morning and to remind her that I will be there at 2 to take her got there and she was at the kitchen sink putting tape on her wrap and I noticed no splint I asked where did the splint go that has been on there for the whole week, she told me well it itched and hurt so I took it off we are going to the dr anyway. I said you aren't to take that off and where did you put it oh either in the trash or closet, crap had to find it and put it all back on before we went to the dr. The dr told her she needs surgery for it to heal right and she said no way not at my age,so he put a velcrour wrap cast on it and come back in a week, and tonight she called me how to take it off I said you can't or you will hurt it all over again. She said well it is tight around the thumb I said they asked you that when we were there and you said it was just fine. I said you have to elevate it and ice it if it is tight so we will see in the morning if it is on. She is sure defiant on anything they tell her to do. After the dr appointment I asked do you want to stop at your daughters and she said hell no if she wants to see me she can come to my house or could of been at my dr appointment, boy is she pissy about things and once you are on her shit list you are there forever. So what an afternoon.
Carol sorry you didn't sell much at your store, I bet people are out doing things outside just like you it will be fall and then people will be back to look at things. Hope you enjoy looking at the horses and dog.
Lair we only had fleas once in the house many years ago and I hated them, so I left the house with the pets and bombed the house with a spray and never worried about them again, they can be a nuscinse for sure. I need a good rain her to pull weeds also
hi grandkids hot here also hope you get some relief too where do you live?
