Butterscotch Walnut Cookies-marjo 1 2/3 c flour 1 c brown sugar 1/2 t cream of tarter
1 egg 1/2 t baking soda
1 t milk or water 1/2 c butter or oleo
1/2 t vanilla 1/2 c chopped black walnuts Combine flour, cream of tarter and soda in separate bowl. Beat butter until creamy add brown sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla beat well. Add flour mixture. Stir in nuts. shape into two 8" logs and wrap in waxed paper. Chill overnight. Cut 1/4" slices. Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375*for 8 minutes. time depends how thick you made them. You don't want to thick. Bake 11 min. so they are crisper.
