Repairing a leaky hose-Wilderness
Repairing a hose is not fun and it seems I spend a lot of time doing it. To get the hose soft and flexible heat the ends of the hose with a blow dryer before trying to insert the connector. Also I found putting dish detergent on the connector does help a little in getting the connector inside the hose. Before putting the clamps on wrap the hose that will be underneath the clamp with plumbers tape. It give a tighter fit and is not so apt to leak. Of course the best time that I should follow would be don't leave the hose with pressure on it and the repair wouldn't be necessary in the first place.
