Kielbasa and Red Sauerkraut-pippin 1c Tomato juice 2T red wine 2Tbrown sugar 1/8 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp caraway seeds
1 small apple, peeled and grated 1 med onion, peeled and chopped 1clove garlic, minced
1 27 oz bag or can sauerkraut, drained
1 lb kielbasa...can use turkey kielbasa
Combine first 6 ingredients in large bowl. Add apple, onion,and garlic. Mix well; stir in sauerkraut and transfer to a shallow baking dish. Bake @ 375* for 30 min then turn oven to 325* for 45 min to 1 hr topped with whole kielbasa or 30 min if cut into 1/2” rounds. Stir sauerkraut as it browns and add water if needed to keep from drying out
