Chicken and Noodles-cooktocook
1 12oz. package of REAMES Home Style Frozen Egg Noodles 5 to 5 1/2 cups water 4 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules 1 1/2 teaspoons minced onion 2 cups cooked, boned chicken (or 2 5oz. cans deboned chicken) 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
Put water, chicken, onion, and parsley in a large saucepan or Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Add bouillon granules and dissolve. Drop in frozen noodles and stir to separate. Simmer 50 minutes. For color, sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon just before serving.
Makes 8 1 cup servings.
**I used homemade chicken broth in place of the water. Since I like a colorful meal, I cut up some carrots and cooked them separately. I also threw in a handful of frozen peas, into the carrot water once the carrots were tender, stirred them around a minute or two, drained, and added it to the chicken and noodles after it had simmer about 40 minutes.**
