Angela, I got such a chuckle out of your 1/2 oz. of rain. I just had to go put it in the rain gauge to see exactly how much it was. It is .07" of rain. LOL

Good morning. It would appear that we are likely going to have another picturesque autumn day around here. I've already been outside to enjoy a bit of it, but hope to go out again in a little while. As I imagined, this morning feels a lot better than last night felt, but who knows what the day may bring? Still looking forward to a nice day.
Fascinating comments on my hairdryer woes! :D I know a lot of people do not use hairdryers these days. I remember when DSisIL went with us to NYC for our niece's wedding last November, she didn't use a hairdryer either on her naturally curly hair. I was mystified by that. Mine these days has just enough natural curl to it to toy with the wiry silver stuff that has invaded my head. When I got up this morning and looked in a mirror, I was not amused by what I saw. Let's just say that before I would go out in my front yard to grab the hummingbird feeder this morning, I had to break out the ol' curling iron to show a section of hair who is boss. LOL! I think a trip to the dollar store is going to be in order. I don't especially want to pay top dollar for a blow dryer that may not last very long. It seems like most appliances these days, hairdryers are made to be replaced pretty quickly. It's kind of sad when I think of it.
As I mentioned earlier, one never knows what a day may bring. This morning I got a FB message from someone that I had sent a message to out of the blue in Aug. of last year. He is my second cousin on my father's side of the family. Our grandparents were siblings. Anyway, I was looking to connect with family outside of my immediate cousins, and when I saw this fellow was on FB, I took a chance and messaged both him and his brother. When I didn't hear back from them, I forgot all about the message. This morning, one of the brother's responded, also informing me that they have a sister on FB. I'll have to send her message here soon. Before I could get a reply typed up for him, he'd sent me a friend request, so now I have a newly formed bond with a new relative. It's kind of crazy how technology has allowed me to connect with so many people in the family like I have.
Since I want to be outdoors today, one of the things I would like to do is take apart the window box. The mess is kind of driving me nuts every time I look out the kitchen window. Beyond that, I'll see how the day goes.
Melissa, that is a good idea about doing a Google search on our oven. Our son used to do stuff like that all the time when he lived at home. I should have thought of it myself.
Glad you kept up on your eye / glasses issue, Kathy. Hopefully things will go better this time around. Your BB pool pick went pretty darn far into the game. Sorry how things turned out.
Joan, it is good seeing you here this morning. I hope you are able to have a good time with the grandkids, and at the village fair, in spite of the forecast.
Enjoy lunch with your friends, Charlene. How nice that you will be getting to visit with DD soon!
Gitti, glad to hear your hike turned out so nicely yesterday. Have a good walk this afternoon.
I think I best just wave to everyone else. Time is ticking away on me. Wishing you all a thrilling or thankful Thursday. Take your pick!
