Good morning. 46 going to 68 and cloudy skies. A good chance of rain this evening. Yesterday was a busy blur! Worked then came home and Started some laundry then went outside. I had to put my plants out that were in the garage. Brought a few more in the house to overwinter, and tossed a couple tired ones. Swapped laundry and started dinner, back outside and mowed with rider and trimmed with the push mower, finished dinner, started 3rd load of laundry then took kids to church then grocery shopping. We got home at 8:15. By then it was shower and veg before bed. I was sleeping on the couch by 9:30! Was surprised I got up at 5.
First day of school went good. Kids were good but busy. Ds finally got his first goose yesterday so he was thrilled.
Karen-like Gayle, I never use a hair dryer either. With my naturally curly hair it makes mine frizzy if I use it. At least they are inexpensive. The oven on the other hand is not. Hope you can fix it. Try googling the make, model, and problem. You will be amazed at what you will get for answers.
Julie- yep, the packers play the vikings in MN. Probably won't be a good day for us since we have no QB.
Well, my pc has been updating for almost an hour and this has taken forever on my phone! Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning all...it is a little cooler and cloudy this morning, perfect temps to get the lawns mowed. I hope the rain holds off long enough for that. We sure do need some rain though. I don't know if it was last winters weather or what but I have plants in places they were never there before this year, it seems like someone came in over night and moved things around, some plants to the front yard that used to be in the back. I have so many things that need to be thinned out this year, no place to put them so I guess I will have to bite the bullet and toss things. Time to get off of here and get to work.

A chilly 48 but sunny this morning. Should get up to the mid60s later on and be very nice to work outside.
Larry, I remember the days when my hubby used the hair dryer on his thick locks, nowadays a quick rub with a towel is all it takes!

Morning everyone.
Cloudy with good chance of rain. I so do love this cooler weather and the smell of fall in the air. We have a few leaves blowing around to finish of the beautiful look of fall.
I have only used a blow dryer about five times in my life. I just got my haircut yesterday and as usual even with the picture my hair is way shorter than what I wanted. It is about as short as Charlene wears hers.
I also got my eyes rechecked yesterday at the other Pearle vision that I normally went to and the pearl vision that I went to this year had my prescription wrong so I will get my new glasses today after work. I will also get groceries and run a couple of other errands after work today.

Good morning 46 now and hopefully getting to 73 this afternoon. No rain for us until Saturday, which is our village fair day, of course. So used to plodding around in the rain each year, from display hall to display barn. We are getting the grandkids a day earlier, so will pick them up tomorrow from their school, at noon. Plan on spending today cutting back the gardens. Cut back most of the purple coneflowers, Agastache, and black-eyed Susans yesterday. I am also digging the Iris bed, and haven't yet decided what to do with the excess rhizomes . They definitely needed thinning out, though. Maybe a table at the front walkway with "FREE" will be the solution. Has anyone done this - did you supply directions for planting, along with sorting and labeling by colour in separate bins? Probably way too much overkill for something free - think I'm turning into my Mom and Dad. Hope everyone has a great day Joan

Good morning everyone. Right now it looks like the sun is still sleeping, but I sure hope it shows up later. I need to caulk some windows and it would dry better with some sun. I will have lunch with friends today. DD called and she is stopping by sometime today or tomorrow. I haven't visited with her in a while, so that will be nice. Dave...I promised you a picture of Larrys lawn mower...here it is (can you tell in the background that MG was on sale for $5?) (I hit enter by mistake so now I am editing) Melissa...you sure did have a busy day yesterday...as usual. Glad to hear the 1st day went well for the kids and the teachers. Molly...we have had to thin out many plants this year. some were transplanted...others given away and some were tossed. Hope you get your rain. Tasty...a cool start to your morning hope it turns into a nice day for you to enjoy. Kathy...I can't imagine you with hair that short, but since yours is nice and thick and natural curly...I bet it looks nice. Yay on getting the right glasses. Hope you can see with them. Joan...nice to see you stopping by. We gave away a lot of FREE phlox this year. We just put a notice on FB and they were gone. Last year we divided our iris and gave those away. All of those went to friends and I gave them instructions for sure. Hope the rain holds off for your town fair. Have a good day everyone. Charlene

Good morning. 42 and sunny today. Not sure what I accomplished yesterday. Did go to Advanced Auto and got a new battery for the car and then to Walmart. Got 3 nice mums for $4 each. They were in 3 qt buckets so a pretty good size. Spent most of the morning catching my journal up. I didn't make my meeting last night. I put the mums in the car rather than in the trunk to bring home. By the time I got home I had such a headache, sneezing the whole bit. There are certain plants that I can't be in close quarters with and mums are one of them.
Today I really need to work in the greenhouse and start moving some of the more tender plants in. It is suppose to be 40 tonight which means I will probably be in the 30's. Problem is tomorrow night will be in the mid 40's then we go back to over night temps in the 50's for the next week. It is hard to decide what to do as I don't plan on playing the game of in and out with them. I have the shop pretty much ready to move plants into there but the upstairs bedroom needs to be cleaned and everything before I can get that set up. I need a little kids wagon to haul things from the front deck to the garage and shop. It sure would cut down on the trips. I can only carry one plant at a time so it takes for every.
I do need to get to town today to pick up meds and will have to do that fairly early as Cameron and Natalie are getting of the bus here this afternoon.
Kathy, glad you finally got your glasses straightened out.
Charlene and Larry don't you just love how one little job leads to many more.
Molly, nice to see you here this morning.
Melissa, I don't know how you keep up with everything.
Need to move on and check out the cooks crock then get my day rolling.
Have a great day.
Bet

Such a good price on the mower, Charlene that it is invisible! LOL Angela...you stopped in while I was editing...lol. When I went to insert the picture, my fat finger hit post instead, so I had to edit the whole thing to finish. Momma said there'd be days like this...lol.

Good morning everyone! What was supposed to be rain yesterday....never happened. That's ok with me. I managed to paint the lower part of the deck and stairs.
A bit on the chilly side this morning, with promises to warm up tomorrow. At his point, I can't complain. We have had such a great summer. Enough rain to ease up on watering, and lots of sun for sun lovers.
Today is a day to do whatever I feel like. First thing is to go shopping. When I get back, it's a walk with Zorro. Then on to some gardening, and then some household chores. Seeing as my bread machine came out nice, I'm planning to make a raisin/nut loaf. The problem with all this baking is keeping away from it. I sure don't want to put back the pounds I lost.
Have a nice day!

Morning everyone! Looks like a lovely day in store for us though some rain tonight, 15-20 ml. Oh wait, I need to go & convert that number for most of you! LOL I guess that's around 1/2 ounce give or take. Edited to say I really didn't mean ounces but rather inches! Doofus here, big tine this morning! LOL
Nothing world shattering happening here. I may go and cut some coleus cuttings to try rooting. This is what happens when a non-gardener hangs arouns a gardening forum! 😊 Very small scale attempt at trying something new. Be assured I won't have 300+ varieties of coleus unlike you, Larry, with your hostas! LOL For one thing, is there even that many varieties?
Charlene, the devil made me do it! I figured you had a bit of a slip-up with the tractor picture but I just couldn't let it go by without a mention! Me bad‼️‼️
Well, better go & flip the laundry after that some brekkie. I need a shot of motivation really! Don't even have to think of supper as the kids are having us over. Always appreciated. I think I will make a cake for dessert to take over.
See you later.
