Good morning! It got up to 85° yesterday! Right now it's 55° and partly cloudy.
So glad we had leftovers last night! I was pooped by supper time! Yesterday, I organized furniture we are taking that is upstairs. Have one more rocker to move from the attic and some floor lamps. Did more sorting and packing after that. Bill's sister is coming today to help out.
Not sure if we'll have the planned breakfast for dinner tonight. We may go out for a late lunch with SIL.

Good morning everyone. A quick post today.
   Ann, not much longer now. Busy days. Lunch with DSIL sounds Like a good idea.
   A couple of appointments today, one late in the afternoon. Nothing planned for supper. Had the lasagna last night, leftovers are/were destined for the freezer. Lots in freezer to choose from, so we’ll see. Bbl. Jan

Good morning. I just got a call that my car has been finished and Troy will be picking it up later today. That was a surprise!

Ann, we got into the seventies yesterday but had thunderstorms overnight. They weren't the strong ones that they were getting out west of us though. Today looks like it's going to be in the high 60s and then it's going to get cold for a week. That I am not happy about. I'm sure you're looking with excitement to your move.

Hey, Bet. Has the black fly Invasion started yet? If it's been warm enough!

I was surprised to see who some of the people were who were excited about the hummingbird feeder. Some of them were unexpected. I sure hope we get some birds. Not much on the agenda today except the same old same old. I'll talk to you later.

Well good afternoon.

I have been working for several days. I have been exhausted when I get home for some reason and have napped away! LOL I will work tomorrow and Friday.

I decided not to work today. I woke at 4 am and then fell back asleep on the couch for 2 hours and again will now take a nap.

I am making chicken noodle soup for supper.

Birdy- I bought 3 hummingbird feeders for the nursing home here in town and they are putting them up today or tomorrow.

Bet- We got pouring rain at around 8 am and still raining now. Thunder storms are predicted for later this afternoon.

Ann- Good to hear that DSIL is there to help you some.

I read through the posts but can not remmeber all I read! LOL

Good afternoon, friends! Per the local news, today is Have a Coke Day, National Empanada Day, and National Coconut Cream Pie Day.

Slept really good last night, but for some reason I just haven't been able to get moving today. I was hoping to make cookies today but will wait until early tomorrow morning when it is cooler. It is very sticky outside---currently 85* with a feel like of 92*. Inland cities do not get our lovely sea breeze like we do on the coast; therefore, many cities today are already climbing to the mid-90's with feel like temps breaking near or even into the 100's.

Since my get up and go is gone, we'll just be finishing up the leftover Bistro Chicken from the weekend over some rice or noodles with the addition of some kind of veggie. I have a side salad from last night that I never ate, so will put that with DH's plate.

I was going to have a hot chicken drumstick and wing for lunch then follow up with a cold chicken breast sandwich for supper. About halfway through hacking it good I looked at the dark meat I was stripping from the bone and all of a sudden I felt funny and thought no way I'm eating any of that chicken today. So wrapped it all back up and put it in the fridge for another day. Goodness, That was odd! Consequently, I'll think about supper later. Happy Birthday, Jan! What a nice day you had. Big hugs to all

Helen, it is nice to be able to just do what you want and not do what you don't feel like doing. Hopefully you'll enjoy that chicken all the more later on.

Birdy, glad to hear that the car got taken care of so quickly. DH is taking my new one in tomorrow since the "Low Tire Pressure" light came on as I was driving to work today. I pulled over and checked but didn't see any problems and it was driving just fine. DH thinks it's because it hasn't been driven much at all so today was the first time it had traveled more than a few miles. He'll check the tire pressure in a bit, and get it checked out tomorrow, though, just to be sure.

Jan, I love lasagna leftovers! How nice to know they'll be there for later.

Ann, did you end up going out for lunch? I think you deserved it after moving furniture.

Chris, hope you enjoyed your nap. We've had off and on thunderstorms all week, with more coming tonight, sounds like. Today it's been worse in the NW corner of the state (the "Dark Corner" as it's called) so we've just had clouds, humidity, and a brisk breeze. Looks like Kentucky is getting storms today but they are south of where DS1 lives.

Lori, we're in the upper 80s today too, and humid. Feels like summer in the South! I have to laugh as I hear customers complain about the weather all the time. People always seem to be surprised that it's cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

I have a hamburger casserole mixed up for a quick supper for us tonight, and a batch of cucumber salad in process for me to take to work tomorrow, just because. I also found a recipe for overnight oats that uses maple syrup so I'm going to mix that up to have in the morning.

I've had a case of the lazies today. There was nothing that had to get done, so I did not get much of anything done except vacuuming, and cleaned the cleaned. I needed to clean the roaster from yesterday. I made a quick run into town this afternoon since I had to get small bills from the bank in exchange for a $100.00 that was given to us last week. I also needed 2 cans of cream of onion soup. I thought I picked it up Monday when I shopped, but got home only to find 2 cans of French Onion soup. I thought it was my mistake, but today when I went back, someone had stocked French Onion soup in the cream of onion dispenser! I did tell the checker about it.

Supper was a couple of chef salads that I picked up at the store. Luckily DH is not a picky eater. They were pretty good too!

Hoping to get both dogs bathed this evening. Tomorrow I'll pack my suitcase and be ready to leave for Austin Friday when I get off. DH is taking the whole day off.

Hi. Things are not going good here. I got a letter from management today that if I disrespect them again ,I will be banned from the clubhouse. I had told them its elder abuse to make us take out the garbage and that was maintenance job.

Lori- so glad you had a good time with Lilthe and you will be seeing her again soon

Birdy- glad they are excited about the hummingbird feeders. Is there plants around there that bloom?
I love watching ours. We have 2 just in the backyard.
