Good morning! It's cloudy and very warm at 57°. Threw off a blanket layer and slept OK. Bill's meat pie was delicious as usual. Tonight we are having leftover Aldi cutlet dinner. Nothing different happening today...sort and pack, sort and pack! Enjoy your day! Waving!

Good morning all. Another bright sunny and pleasant day, temperatures in the 50s this morning, heading to about 70 this afternoon. Canning this morning and a mammogram this afternoon. The burritos were good last night and made a pleasant change but absolutely no ideas yet for tonight. Have a terrific Tuesday 🌞.

Good morning. It was 44°overnight but up to 55°already and to be in the 70's today. My last day off. Back to work tomorrow but for only one day I hope. It will be a long one but easy jobs that I do all the time. It will be a lot of driving in the rain but it is what it is.
As soon as I get off here I am going to get the food in the refrigerator and freezers taken care of and then it is out doors. I need to get more seed planted and more baskets made up now that I have the second greenhouse set up which is where I do most of that work. However I may first tackle the asparagus bed. that will be coming up soon and it is a mess. Tasty, if I wasn't busy I would be so bored. I can't just sit and watch TV or anything like that and I am not a reader so I have to keep moving. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen but that is my relaxation and entertainment.
Dinner tonight will be fried pork rice and green beans almondine. All from the freezer just need to warm everything up.
Ann hope you get a lot more sorting and packing done.
Tasty, I am sure you will be busy canning today with your first sale Sunday. Hope you get good results from you Mamo. Will you get the results immediately? I understand the new machines are much more pleasant. The didn't have those 10 years ago when I had my last one. I don't miss them.
Have a great day.

Good morning. Bet, just reading about your to do list and your have done list is making me tired already! Heaven forbid you should get bored! LOL!
Lori, I am so glad you have that little love bug. I can't believe she's four already.
Tammy, I hope your church is okay. It has been a horrible week for a lot people.
Mamma, I am so glad you have found a church that appears to be welcoming and comforting. You go girl!
You are all making such yummy sounding food. I have my fingers crossed that eventually I'll be able to chew. My jaw is more relaxed in the morning then it has been. Can you believe that last night 's dinner for me was a pureed bologna sandwich?
Not much going on here today. Troy is doing all the work. He's been driving my Subaru while his truck is in the shop and was appalled to come out of the market the other day to find a crack all the way across the windshield. He was absolutely upset but I told him that it only takes a little chip to get something like that going. My insurance got me set up with safe light yesterday and he has an appointment today to get it fixed. I think I have had at least four windshields repaired or replaced in my career as a driver. --Update-- Troy got there and they had no record of an appointment! Set for Friday and he has to rent something in the meantime. Beware of Farmer's Ins.
Looking forward to sitting Outdoors for a while this afternoon. It's supposed to be 70 and that will be the last for warm weather for about a week.
Talk to you all later.

Birdy, it is always nice to see you here. Sorry about the windshield. As long as he has an appointment to get it fixed he should be legal to drive it at least to get to work and back. It is a beautiful day here also. In the 60's already. Enjoy your sitting out side.
Making good progress. Checked over my work for tomorrow so I know exactly what I am doing and what my route will be who is first and who is last. Hopefully I can get my bun out of bed before 7:30 tomorrow morning. That is becoming too much of a habit days I don't go on the road. All food from upstairs freezer is ready to go downstairs and refrigerator is cleaned out everything is in the freezer and once frozen will be packaged and moved. Did find a couple of science projects in the refrigerator and had some things in there that needed to be labeled. Tired of guessing and tasting at this hour of the morning. Need to empty the dishwasher and reload it and then outdoors for the day.

Good morning and hello to all! Per the morning news, today is national Roast Leg of Lamb Day. Not on the menu here---we'll be having Ravioli Lasagna and a salad. The ravioli (and other pastas) is made here right in town and one of the very best I've ever had.
Yesterday spending time with our DD and the birthday girl herself, was a great day! Lilith changed her mind and said she didn't want to go to the indoor playground, so we went to the outdoor water splash pad. She was in her glory! It was very hot and sunny, pushing 90*, so Lilith made a good choice. Afterwards we stopped for a late lunch at First Watch and then we went back to the apartment enjoy banana cupcakes with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. So grateful for the wonderful memories!
We will be heading back over to celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday. DD and Lilith will be going to a pool party/bar-b-q on Sunday; we were asked to join in, but due to work the following day for DH, we decided to skip the invite. We'll then take a two-week break of driving over to see the girls, but on Saturday, the 25th, we'll be getting up in the wee hours and driving over to pick up Lilith---she will be staying with us until we drive her back on the afternoon of the 27th It is the ex's weekend to watch Lilith, but he will be out of town and DD has to work the entire holiday weekend at the hospital, so Grandma and Grandpa will fill-in/help out with bells on their toes!
Ann, keep up the good work!
Tasty, praying you get good mammo results---mine will be next month.
Bet, your 70's should prove to make an enjoy time working outdoors today.
Legs squeezed, bike ride done, dishwasher emptied shower, two loads of clothes washed, now it's time to iron a few pieces. Waving to all---take care. Lori

Good morning Ann, this is the way we sort and pack, sort and pack. Soon it will be unpack and organize.
Tasty, enjoy your nice weather. Tell the "girls" to say cheese. :)
Bet, enjoy your last day off. I need to organize my fridge freezer one of these days. Not my favorite job.
Birdy, your puree made me gag!!!! I have heard many times to beware of Farmers Ins. I have Progressive.
Lori, one load of clothes today and a small load of rugs washed and all is on the lines. I'll take your meal over leg o lamb any day. :)
All our friends were at the pet area this morning so lots of running and dirt flying. Mandy will need a brushing or a bath. It was nice enough to walk this morning too. But Mandy was in a big hurry and all be dragged me. It's always a slower walk home. hehehe
Nothing else on my to do list so I really should look and see what I can find for ideas on what to make for bookmarks for the fall luncheon at church. I still have no idea. Anything like cross stitch or crochet is out of my hands capability anymore. And I can't look down right now either. It's a quandary. I forgot to put my baby piece of roast out to thaw last night. Maybe it will thaw sooner than I think because it is so small. I cut a bigger roast into 5 meals or so. I'm not a big meat eater and don't like it left over so real small is good enough for me. But like Birdy, I could really go for some crispy chicken like KFC!!!
Happy Tuesday everyone.

I have been on the phone with various and sundry, all pleasant thankfully. My garbage disposal is on the blink but I can't get a serviceman til Monday. Bummer! Perhaps I should order-in every nite to escape dirty dishes. Who am I kidding? Almost anything is a good reason for me to order in! Also, the date I got for next dr. appt. has to be rearranged. As many of you have mentioned, it's hard enough to get a timely doctor appt. because they're all so busy. Whatever. I'm going to settle in this afternoon for a look at all the fashions the actors/actresses are wearing these days for fancy occasions. I find it amusing and appalling, really. Lucky you, Lori to spend the day yesterday with the birthday girl. Yikes. I've managed to hit a button for gigantic sized type. Don't know how I did it or how to fix it?! My apologies. Supper tonite will be a grilled cheese on my new grill pan and whatever else sounds good at the time. Sweet dreams!

Hi ! So glad that Lilith had a great birthday. I agree with everyone-cannot believe she is 4 already!
Birdy, sorry about the windshield. Troy is a good guy to help you out like he does.
Tasty, hope the canning session and appointment went well.
Helen, it is always something, right?
I got up at 6 and put together 4 pans of Mexican lasagna. I made a small one for us. Got the rice cooked, packaged and all delivered. It looks like the sink hold is staying the same size. There is still maybe 5 ft of grass between it and our foundation. One of the Houston news channel came out and showed a very short clip of the hold and a few words from the pastor. We were not watching that channel however. I searched google and youtube but never could find the clip. Today I found out that someone posted a link on their facebook page. Unfortunately it is the entire news broadcast, and the story I wanted was the very last minute of the clip! I could fast forward through the news but it would not let me do that during the numerous ads. The news portion played fine but all the ads took twice as long because it would stop playing, buffer, play 2 or 3 seconds, etc, etc. At one point it jammed totally and I had to close the window and start over. It took me an hour to finally get down to the clip. I'm still not certain that I saw all of it.
I did not eat breakfast, and took some cold meds on an empty stomach. It upset my tummy a little so I laid down about the time DH came home for lunch. He made himself a ham sandwich and I napped early today. I just finished a peanut butter sandwich.
It is 87 here and high humidity so does not feel good outside at all. I have no plans for the rest of the day. I may try to read some.
Have a nice day!

A quiet day today and I don't mind that. After work I spent a little time with the new car's manual, figuring out how to set the seat position. Next I need to find out how to sync my phone with the car's Bluetooth. I can't believe I just typed that! I'm not used to all these techie things in a car. I like it, though!
Not sure what we'll have tonight. DH just headed off for a nap so I have some time to think about it.
Ann, you are so diligent in getting things done. We're all excited for your move-in!
Tasty, hope your appointment went well.
Bet, I don't think "bored" is a word that anyone would ever use to describe you. 😊 I love how you keep your freezer and pantry stocked so that you can "order in" whenever you get hungry.
Birdy, your pureed bologna sandwich reminded me of my Grandma being on a pureed diet when she was in a nursing home. My mom said Grandma looked at her meal tray, looked at her, and said, "We're supposed to act like we like this." She didn't though. Hoping it doesn't last too much longer.
Lori, what fun to read about Lilith's birthday! She knows what she likes! I know you all loved being together, and will again for Mother's Day and then having her at your house for the weekend later. Good times ahead!
Mamma, I don't know what exactly you use to make your greeting cards but I'm sure you could do something creative to make bookmarks with those supplies. Had to smile at Mandy running around and making the dirt fly!
Helen, your solution sounds good to me! Who needs dirty dishes? Whatever the font looked like when you were typing, it looks normal now.
Tammy, very glad to hear that the sinkhole has not grown to be more of a threat to the church building. My stomach gets queasy if I take my morning vitamins without eating, but then I've always been a breakfast eater anyway so it doesn't happen often. If we go out for breakfast, I have to wait and take them afterwards.
Well, time to see put clothes in the dryer and see what's for supper.
Tamm

Hello once more. I think I've read recently that some of you are having to make doctor appointments several months out. DH and I are really lucky when it comes to our regular doctor. We've been with him something like 35 years now and he's a friend, so we can have pretty much any day/time, often the same day appointments or the next. However, I just had difficulty with setting up an appointment with the lymphedema clinic connected to the hospital. I called our doctor for a script this early afternoon and DH was able to pick it up on his way in from work. At one time, the hospital had 3 clinics, but one has closed down in the past 1 1/2 years since I last went for therapy. I was told the earliest appointment to get in is late July, but there is a possibility that DH and I will be going up to Michigan late July, into August. Instead, I had to make an appointment for the day after we would be getting back in August. Disappointed, as I'd rather have had the therapy in June and early July, but not much I can do about this one other than wait my turn.
Birdy, it is always nice to see a post from you and see how you are doing. Sorry about the car windshield. Glad Troy will be able to get the matter taken care of for you on Friday. Hope you had a chance to sit outdoors today and enjoy some fresh air.
Bet, sorry read that you'll be putting in a longer day tomorrow with lots of driving but was feeling encouraged to see it might be your only day of work this week. You mentioned rain, so be careful on the roads. Like you, baking and cooking are my entertainment and relaxation--kitchen therapy.
mamma, I've been meaning to say that I am so happy you have found the "right fit" with your new church! Nice reading that the potluck was successful, and you are already looking forward to the fall luncheon. Be proud of yourself that you took the steps out of your comfort zone and are spreading your wings---I think your dear Mark is smiling down on you and saying, "you go girl!"
Tammy, I need to check and see if you have the recipe for Mexican Lasagna in our cookbook. Sounds yummy! Sinkholes are something we are very familiar with here in Florida, at least in the Tampa area. We get them in the middle of our street all the time and the same with the roads were my parents lived here in town. I don't like them and am happy when they come out to repair the roads but thank goodness they haven't swallowed a car. Some of the sinkholes up in Tampa area have actually swallowed entire homes and yards.
Helen, broken garbage disposal, yes, I think that might qualify to order in meals, but you have me licking my lips at a grilled cheese sandwich!
Need to go---DH wants to use the computer to pay some bills. Need to get moving with dinner too, so bye for now. Lori
