Good morning! It's cloudy and warm this morning. May get off and on showers today. Soup with rolls was good last night. Tonight we are having a meat pie that Bill will make. Will serve with a cucumber & celery salad with lemon vinaigrette. Will go to the senior center with some of the stuff I've sorted from 'the piles'! Have a wonderful day! Waving!

Good morning all. Thanks for opening up every day Ann - it is so nice to come here each morning and see what's going on. The sun is shining beautifully today and we'll be close to 70 this afternoon, same again tomorrow. I have a pretty busy week coming up, with getting ready for the markets, plus I have a couple of medical appointments, both of which are here in town. We had intended having burritos last night but when it came to supper time, I was lazy and pulled a container of soup from the freezer. We will have the burritos tonight. Nothing exciting going on here - have a great day!

Good morning. It was 47°this morning and partly sunny. Suppose to get up to 70° today. Some difference from yesterday when it barely made 50°. It is so wet however so don't think I will get any yard work done but will spend time in the greenhouse. I have quite a bit of work on the computer to keep me busy this morning but it will help to cross a lot off my to do list, all of which is starting to become urgent. I will also tackle the food moving issue.
After I posted yesterday afternoon I ended up laying down for about an hour and a half so nothing more got done yesterday. Last night I ended up being lazy for dinner. I forgot I had bought a couple of ears of corn on Saturday so those along with a mini cucumber, a few grape tomatoes, some pepper strips and a couple of slices of bread that was dinner. By 6:30 I gave up the ghost, took some nyquil and went to bed to watch TV. I slept well last night. Dinner tonight will be Smothered Pork Chops, potato of some sort (I have all of the scraps from making the French Fires yesterday) and a caprese salad (I found fresh mozzarella cheese on sale for almost 1/2 price Saturday).
Elza, hope all goes well at DMV today for the new car. Sounds like you got a good deal on it. Between the 2 main stores I shop I can by ground chuck for $2.99 a pound every couple of weeks. I think my bread machine is still downstairs but I use my Kitchen aid mixer for the dough. I never baked in the bread machine.
Jan, I was no way offended by you comment. If anything I would consider it a compliment. If you read above I sure didn't feel like 60 yesterday afternoon. I just don't know enough to act my age.
Chris, isn't it great when we create a new dish and it comes out great.
Lori, so sorry your are still under such drought conditions. We always have a burn ban on here from March 1st to May 15th. In fact they have been posting burn warnings for the past week or so. It is so wet here I can't believe anything could burn. I sometimes think they go a little overboard here with their burning warnings.
Ann, I usually have soup and sandwich once a week. Besides all of the soup I posted in the freezer there is at least that much in the pantry that I have canned. Also lots of stock in the freezer and canned to make more. I am so bad. Hope you get rid of some things at the Senior Center today.
Tasty, I am sure you have a busy week ahead of you. Looks like we are sharing weather today. Speaking of Dr. appointments and all the talk about getting appointments. The health center has been calling and leaving messages for a couple of weeks that it is time for my next appointment. I called Friday and the gal confirmed I was do in a couple of weeks so I booked my appointment and the earliest I could get was the first week in October. I guess it wasn't to urgent to get back to them.
Have a great day.

Bet, if you hadn't called back for a little while tho, it would have been next year before getting an appointment. When I got a call in November that it was time to book my next mammogram, the earliest I could get was early May, so I go tomorrow for that little delight.

Tasty, there is no reason for me going every 6 months as it is. Since I am going in October I might just as well wait and go for my annual wellness the first of the year. If they want me every 6 month is seems to me they could set their computers up to contact me while the Dr. still has appointments open in that time frame. Just me I guess. I guess the only way you can see a Dr. if you are sick is to go to Urgent Care take what you get.

Good morning.
The church pot luck was a great success yesterday and so much fun too. The kitchen coordinator was so surprised that so many stayed to help with clean up. She said that has never happened before. Lynda said it was because everyone heard how much fun the three of us had setting it all up that they stuck around for some clean up fun. LOL None of my hot-dish made it home. But I did get a little bit for lunch. So many people greeted Lynda and I again and made us feel so very welcome. I'm so happy that I made the leap of faith to this church. So far I like everything about it.
After we left the church Lynda and I stopped at Frys for the hamburger that was in sale and some more of the coffee that is on sale. Now I have to figure out where to put 4 more containers. Nine containers should last me until the next sale, I hope.
Even with a late half hour nap yesterday late afternoon I still fell right to sleep last night and slept fairly well. But the pain in my neck is back in a vengeance this morning. It hurt to move so Mandy and I took the cart this morning. She was quick and we headed back home. Mary and Emily were still there but left when we did.
Grief support group this morning and then straight home. Nothing planned even though I would love to make cookies. It was chilly and windy yesterday and a cold 55 over night last night. From a/c to furnace. Looking ahead I don't see that happening again for a loooooong time. Like maybe October. hehehe
If I get my rear in gear I'll make sloppy joes for supper, and just something quick after my meeting.....not sure what, as usual.
Take care and have a great Monday.

Good morning everyone. Ann, have I ever said thank you for opening each day? Thank you. Tasty, don’t those frozen soups come to the rescue sometimes? I pull one out at least once a week, it seems. Bet you’re excited to be doing the first market this weekend. Hope it all goes well. Bet, wow, that’s a long wait for a doctor appointment. 2-3 weeks here for family doctor, longer for tests at the hospital. Chris, the taco dish you made yesterday. Well, all I can say is what a great idea. Glad you enjoyed it. Lori, I know just how you feel about the wildfire warnings. They’ve already started in our area too. Have partial fire bans in this area too. Mostly human caused fires. Happy birthday to Lilith. Emr, I use my b/ machine only for dough. Boo-boo yesterday. Forgot that I had to stretch the dough to fit a 10 x15 inch jelly roll pan. Have very little strength in my hands now. DH to the rescue. He did a perfect job. Told him he was hired. Mamma, so happy to hear you are enjoying your new church, and making new friends. Your hot dish must have been a good one, no leftovers. Off to a good start today. Planned on lasagna for supper tonight. How can you have lasagna without enough noodles? Didn’t plan on going grocery shopping until tomorrow, might go this afternoon though. Pulled last of the rotisserie chicken from the freezer, along with stuffing and gravy. We’ll have the lasagna tomorrow. Let’s see how the rest of the day goes. Bbl. Jan

Mamma, so glad the pot luck went well and you are feeling comfortable with this new church. I know that is important to you. Good to see you continuing with grief counseling. Hope the neck is feeling better.
Jan, with the stock of food I have here it seems there is still a good chance that I don't have what I need when I want to cook something. Soup to the rescue.
I am still working on Lions. Got 50 Posters Printed for the Garage Sale, updated the Roster for that and have sent out numerous emails. Still need to complete 3 applications for members awards for June and then just maybe I can get out to the green house and get some work done. However, there is still the food in the refrigerator and freeze to address and it is 12:30 already.

There is a high of 82 today and cloudy. Looks like rain late afternoon, though. I've been busy getting paperwork ready for doctor appt. I have often wondered what good all those patient portals are when you just have to do it all over again when you get to the office? Well, that's my favorite complaint so I feel better now. 😊 Will catch up on my email and then it will be time to go. Supper will be something easy so Stouffers to the rescue! Enjoy your day.

Just got back from the DMV and everything is done. Tag is on the car, insurance & registration paperwork is in the glove box, and DH is getting ready to go get it washed and cleaned up for me, 'cause he's sweet like that. We had to pay sales tax, but still came out with a good deal and I'm looking forward to driving it tomorrow.
I decided to go on and have the pork chops tonight so I will use my grill pan to cook them on the stovetop with a Knorr's rice dish and a green salad for sides.
Very cloudy and warm here today with a chance of storms later this evening.

Good early evening. I have not left this computer. Haven't even bothered to get dressed. I have made good progress on my to do list but it is still extremely long. I still need to get 2 more applications emailed out for the club's participation is the 4th of July parade and also running our food chuck wagon at the Craft fair in July. The emails just keep coming in of things that need to be done and work now through the month of may is going to be busy with long hours again. My head is spinning and don't know which to tackle first. Then I look at the forecast and tomorrow is to be in the 70's and sunny. My last day off and guess who isn't sitting at this computer. However, as of Wednesday things get very depressing. Between then and the 20th there is only 2 days without precipitation and temperatures mostly in the 50' for high and some in the 30's at night. That is enough to make a girl cry. Right now it is 75° but the sun is filtered on the thermometer at the moment. Of course there is the never ending cool breeze blowing.
Elza, glad your new ride is all taken care of including a good cleaning by DH.
Helen, I agree with the portals for Dr.'s appointment and then still need to fill out things at the appointment. Then the nurse asks all the same questions again. Enough is Enough. I do hope you appoint goes well with a good report.
Can you tell I am not in a very good mood at the moment. Guess I will go take my aggregation to on some more forms to fill out.
Enjoy your evening.
Bet

Hi friends, Chris, how nice to have a quilt accepted. Good for you!
Mamma, glad you like the church and enjoyed the pot luck.
Elza, enjoy your new ride. I love mine. It's so nice to have it back. I was liking the cr-v and if we had not bought when we did, I probably would have been interested in test driving one. I noticed that our temporary tag expired. I picked up mail today but we never have received the new permanent tags they were supposed to mail. I need to have DH check on that.
I just got home from getting a hair cut. Feels much better.
I got a ham out of the freezer yesterday. By this afternoon it had not thawed much, so it is in the oven baking now, and I put in a couple sweet potatoes, too.
Tonight I will bake 3 chocolate cherry cakes, and I may go ahead and get the ground beef browned that I will need for the Mexican lasagna tomorrow.
Sounds like a busy week for most everyone. Take care, waving to all!

Glad you had such a good day, Lori. Doesn't seem possible that Lilith is 4 already. She is such a joy in your lives! Way too much going on in your life Bet. Most people half your age couldn't achieve half of what you do each day. Mamma, I think you and Linda have really lucked out with your choice of this new church. I hope it continues to fill your needs. Jan, altho I really enjoy cooking, I also love having stuff in the freezer that we can eat with no work, whether it's soup or fish and chips or even a pizza. Hope it was a good doctor visit Helen. Enjoy your new car, Elza - how nice of hubby to get it so ready for you 😊 . Hope everything is starting to dry out Tammy. Is the church going to be safe? We had our burritos tonight and they made a nice change for us. G'night 🌙.
