Charlene, I love your driveway garden. Leslie, those kitties are just so cute. Melissa, I love the color of your hyacinth. Gayle, your Bridal Wreath Spirea is beautiful. Some of my new plants.

Leslie, I could easily have gotten in trouble had I seen your kittens in person. They are all so cute! That hyacinth does look iridescent, Melissa. Very pretty. That bridal wreath spirea, Gayle, is super impressive. Wow! Mary M., your dahlias look like sunshine to me. Pretty pink verbena. Is your salvia a perennial for you? When I was out checking on the flowers on the patio earlier, this cute bee was enjoying itself in the Korean hyssop. One of my favorite things is when I grow plants that something in nature will enjoy.

Believe three of my new Salvia are perennial and the 4 new red Salvia I bought today are annuals.

Nice Plants, Mary.
I'm waiting until later this month to treat myself to a trip to the nursery.
An unusual Anemone blooming from last year's plants I don't think I saw this one last year.

I threw snapdragon seeds in a pot outside last fall and 2 sprouted. This pink one is blooming now. Early this spring I threw more snap seeds and also nicotiana seeds in this same pot and they finally sprouted and are growing so maybe I'll have a fuller pot at some point. Ants were taking over this morning so I sprayed them. Hopefully the spray doesn't hurt the plants even though it didn't get on the leaves.

Melissa, that's a cute marigold. When I was in the front middle bed scattering seeds I noticed 2 volunteer marigolds. Since Mary was talking about stinky blooms, I noticed another one in my yard today. It's my hawthorn tree and while not as bad as the red tips, it doesn't have a pleasant smell.

Gayle, what a beautiful bright and cheerful bloom. I didn't want to wait on getting the red Salvia plants as last year everyone sold out early. Leslie, lovely pink snapdragon bloom, makes me want to get some for my yard. Love your hawthorn blooms. I didn't realize they have stinky blooms. When I had my hawthorn tree it was on my lawn between the driveways and far enough away from the backyard one didn't notice. Melissa, pretty marigolds, I like them but they don't like me and I have problems with allergies when around them. My little Viola hanging basket.

Gayle, I love the color of that Peony bloom. I worked on this rhododendron yesterday. I removing weather damaged leaves and lots of new growth. I did what I could but wasn’t able to reach some of the new growth to the top of the bush. It was a sticky job so I used plastic gloves and just tossed them when I was finished.

I know I said I wouldn't post any more foxglove photos but I was noticing that I have 4 different shades this year. I usually only have the dark pink I think. So I'm making markers so I'll remember to save seeds from each and see if I can get any to grow in the future and what colors they will be.

Gayle, your anemone is gorgeous. Such a pretty pink snap, Leslie! Hope you have good luck with the seeds you sowed. It's too bad pretty things don't always smell pretty. That hawthorn has pretty blooms. How exciting to get so much color variety in your foxgloves! I enjoy a good gardening experiment so I am curious to hear what happens with your saved seeds. Those Little Hero marigolds, Melissa, are cute. I don't think I have heard of Little Hero before. Once they are fully opened, they really ought to shine. Mary M., I'm smitten by your basket of violas. So pretty! I agree with you on the color of Gayle's peony bloom. WOW! That is all I can say about your rhododendron. It's size and beauty are striking. Very nice pic, Gayle, of a lovely bloom. This is my first iris to bloom. I have a feeling I am going to have more of these yellows than I want, and I fear the pretty one I bought a few years ago is no more. It bloomed the first year I planted it, but not last year. Now where I think I planted it, more yellow irises are ready to bloom. I have a slight bit of hope that there may be one in the cluster that could be my purple and pink pretty. Time will tell. All the others in that cluster are going to be yellow. That one isn't opening enough to tell just yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. I wish I could remember why I planted chives eons ago. I'm guessing for the pollinators? They sure do spread in my Earthbox and take over, but it is hard to get mad when the blooms are so darn pretty.

Have you ever taken the blooms and made chive vinegar, Karen? It is a lovely colour and it changes the colour of the vinegar very quickly! A great use for the chives 😊.
