Good morning sunny skies and 65* at 7:30 not sure how high the temp will get today hopefully no rain today.
I did get the garden by the garage cleaned up a few weeds to get because it started raining before I finished. When it dries enough I will mow again. Yesterday was one of those days you start something outside then rain, come in and it stops and go back out. I did this a few times and gave up after about the 3rd time of cleaning things up. Hopefully today will be better.
Have a enjoyable day.

Good morning Tasty and all who follow. 67 The sun is just rising. It will be partly cloudy today with a high of 80.
I just finished today's Bible reading so I thought I'd say good morning before getting ready for Sunday School and church. Nothing planned after that but I may try to catch up on some stitching.
I must admit I haven't tuned into the service at my church in Rochester for months now. I kept bookmarking them to listen to at another time and never got to them. They are looking for someone to take over the pulpit so that Pastor can retire. I'm sure that when they do, I'll become a full member here.
I hope everyone has a peaceful day.

Good morning everyone. It is 51º, but feels like 41º and the high for the day is 57º. We are to have a chance of thunderstorms this morning, mid afternoon and this evening. They predict 1-2 inches, so hope we get something.
Yesterday after taking Curt to Dollar General. I just did lots of small jobs. I got most of the geranium cuttings from last fall planted. I also got all of the inside and outside plants watered. It's so nice to have rain water again in the barrels to use.
This morning I am doing a load of laundry and planning on cleaning up the kitchen. What I do later remains to be seen.
Tasty...thanks for opening and hope you have a good day too.
Sandy...I think our day today will be like yours yesterday with off and on showers predicted.
Wendy...It sounds to me like you must be feeling at home in your new church. Changing your membership will probably be a good thing.
Leslie...speaking of church memberships, I remember reading that you went to church last Sunday. Are you trying new churches, or did you go back to yours?
Happy Sunday to all. Charlene

Good Sunday morning to everyone, Tasty=nice to sit in a sunroom.Sandy=rain rules our gardening plans. Wendy= and nice 68* this morning, going to 83* later a slight breeze now. Charlene=hope you get the rain. yesterday Janet and i ate early breakfast at Waffle house then Walmart for groceries then home Janet brought all her tools and started hoeing the square and digging up the rest of the bricks had 31 ! some were caulked together at the bottom of the square. she took all those and the last bunches of Angelina Seedum also some star of Bethlemes. her cheeks were really rosy from hard hoeing, that's the English in all of us when working hard. lots of roots from the Birch tree had to be cut. at last finished and played Scrabbble then Janet left for home, so rested on the couch, bell rings and it is Karen, was going to have some plants but did not call me, so i gave one pot of the sedum. we sure did our exercise gardening! now all ready for the man to come this week and start what he needs to do to grow grass. will save me a lot of water this summer not having to water that square should make a difference in water bill. enjoy the day, Mary in sunny Kentucky. 9.29am

No time to chat. Have to get the e kittens loaded in the car and hit the road. Taking them to the shower with me so DGD#2 can "get to know them" and decide if she wants one. After the shower I'll be going to DGD#4's honors choir concert. Won't be home till tonight.
Charlene, I went to a different church. Been checking out churches online to eliminate ones I don't need to bother visiting. Next Sunday I'll go back to the one I went to since the first Sunday they have service in their sanctuary. Last Sunday was contemporary service in the gym.
Have a good day.

Good Morning, A sleepless night so I'm hoping for a nap sometime today. Yesterday's breakfast was wonderful. The restaurant is known for its dinner plate size caramel size rolls. I had an omelet and ended up taking 1/2 home which I will have for lunch today. Last night grandson Benjamin called and asking if I was available to go to dinner. Of course I said yes. This was his way of saying thank you to me for letting him stay at my house a week this winter. I could have easily paid for his meal but decided to let him pay because he wanted to. No plans for the day except hopefully a nap. More rain is expected. Marlene

So much for getting the seedlings outside to harden off. At this rate, I don't know when that can begin. Yesterday was too windy. Today it will still be breezy with on and off rain showers that could be heavy. Tomorrow there is a chance of storms. Not the most hospitable weather for getting accustomed to being outdoors. We are just .75" of rain away from setting a new record for this April being the wettest one on record. It doesn't surprise me. I have nothing planned for the day other than waiting to hear from DSon on when it is a good time for them to video chat. Some of the silliest stuff gets stuck in my head sometimes. After receiving a pic from DSon of Mac in his baseball uniform, I went on a quest to find photos of DSon in his Little League uniform. The first place I looked was a bust. So, of course, that annoyingly floated around in my head when I was trying to sleep. I was going to find what I was looking for, but hoped to avoid getting down on the floor to dig out all the photographs under an end table. Somewhere along the line, I thought about a scrapbook I had made for DSon that just had to include baseball pics. When I drug my butt out of bed this morning, I dug out the scrapbook and found some of what I was looking for in that. No need to get on the floor now. Maybe it will amuse DSon and inspire Mac to see those pics. I hope so. Thanks for opening the sunroom, Tasty. Hopefully, Sandy, you can get more done outside today without fighting the rain. Wendy, it isn't easy dropping a connection to one church and committing fulltime to another. During the pandemic, I was emotionally attached to 3 different parishes - the one where I was registered and had attended for decades - one where I participated quite a bit online - and the one where I ultimately chose. I don't miss my former church, but I do sometimes mourn what I gave up in the church I had great affection for but only was inside the building once. And that was to drop off a donation for a drive they were having. It sounds like you have a lovely new church in FL. Maybe the change in pastors is what will make it most comfortable for you to fully cut the cord with the Rochester church. That was somewhat true for me in that the pastor of the church where I was only an online participant retired around the time our bishop said it was time to get back to in-person worship. Every once in a while, he or the associate pastor of that church will fill in for my pastor at the new church. I just smile, look up, and say, "Thank you!" I also hope you get some rain, Charlene. Maybe not two inches at once, but something. Nice that you have enough rain in the barrels to water. Oh my, Mary, you and the girls got a lot accomplished yesterday! It is good that you will be able to save on a water bill while also sharing plants with the girls. Leslie, I hope you can share at least one of the kittens with your DGD. I think being able to check out churches online before actually attending is a really good thing. If you are comfortable with online, there is a better chance that you might be good with them in person than if you just walk in cold knowing nothing about them. How sweet that you got to enjoy dinner with your DGSon, Marlene! It can be a good idea to let others do for us sometimes. Well, I have been at this long enough and DH has called me twice. Time to go see what he has in store for me. I think this time his interruption will be welcome. He knew I would want to see Ruby Bridges on whatever program he was watching. Have a superb Sunday!

Good morning, it is a beautiful day, the sun is shining brightly and it is to get into the 80s today. It is 70° on the balcony right now.
I made bean soup yesterday and a turkey meatloaf. Both were made in crockpots. Today I want to do broccoli cheese soup but that may wait until tomorrow. That is because I forgot to start it this morning. Making lunch at the moment having some of the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn.
Went for my walk this morning and it is nice out. Probably too hot later in the day so will need to wait until evening.
Need to get on with things so I can return to my book.
Have a good day.

Good morning, its 50° headed to highs around 58°. Our last couple days of Aril are expected to be cool and showery.
Yesterday I checked out a couple places for flowers and I bought a fuchsia hanging basket and a couple salvia plants. I still have a couple more garden centers to checkout.
After church this morning we plan on going over to visit one of my niece’s.
Have a great day everyone.

Wendy...It sounds to me like you must be feeling at home in your new church. Changing your membership will probably be a good thing. Pastor announced he's officially retiring the end of June so I guess that will be that. I may stay to see who fills in.

Good afternoon. 40 and gloomy. A chance of rain but not much accumulation predicted. I tweaked my neck this morning so pretty frustrated. Didn’t do anything to cause it. It just came on like a charlie horse of the neck. Ugh. I wanted to get a final paint coat on but probably best to not today. Instead I have been doing some dusting and other household chores. We’ll see what else I do today. A heating pad is in my future.
Have a good day.

Good evening,
We are sunny & warm; my kind of day. Phone says current temp is 79*; I/O says 91. Of course that is in the sun but I deal with this every summer, trying to find a neutral spot but never can. I'd say mid 80s for today. It was pretty warm.
I watered stuff in the GH this morning. Time to start planting out. The impatien have flower buds. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.
I put a bag of top soil in the low spot of my Angel Bed in the back. We'll see how that works with the next rain; may need to put more.
I mentioned cleaning around the pavers on my path yesterday. They did go from the back door to the gate. No gate now so I just noticed this morning they need to be adjusted as they were going from the back door to the outside edge of the arbor. Got that fixed & put down some Preen Lawn Weed control.
Mixed up the 30% vinegar spray for the d'way weeds & grass & the pressure sprayer wouldn't work. Ended up pouring it into a spray bottle & using that. Not sure it's going to work because when I was looking at the pressure sprayer the bottom had a lot of un-dissolved Epsom Salt which is probably why it wouldn't work. Which also means that what I poured into the spray bottle didn't have enough Epsom Salts. I may have to do it all again. I guess I need to thoroughly stir it until the Epson Salt dissolves before trying to spray.
Then it was on to weeding the d'way bed. 1st section is done. Last year I had some volunteer Fleabane pop up. I kinda liked it so I left it. Well, the "some" turned into a"lot" & I don't like it that much so it all came out. Filled a 5 gallon bucket with it.
BTW,all the BES I left out for whoever were gone this morning.
That was it for today. Tomorrow I might go to Lowe's & get some of the generic garden soil on sale for $2/bag & maybe a bag of mulch. I need to go grocery shopping but I'd rather work in the yard.
Melissa, I hope the neck is better tomorrow. Maybe from the painting or just slept awkward last night? I always say "I must've zigged when I should've zagged."
Mary, nice you were able to share plants with your girls. Was that square something you did or the apt did?
Kitties are looking for their supper. Guess I better go feed them before the starve.

Good evening. It was been a beautiful day here even thought it was cloudy quite a bit of the time. Spent a lot of time outside and am tired but a good tired. Just wanted to stop by and read what everyone has been up to. It is 7 and dinner is just cooking. Work tomorrow and it will be a bit of a long day with one store a 6 1/2 service order plus another one for an hour. Won't be that bad however except throwing those 24 bottle packs of water stacked 3 high. It is the last one.
Enjoy your evening.

Update: I planted the Impatiens a little while ago. Eleven of them & I have 5 left over for the Strawberry pot but I need to get some potting soil for that. I'll add it to the growing list.
