Good morning! From a high of 69° yesterday, it's now 48°...still warm by my standards. Got more packing done today...the Armetale pieces that I want to keep and all of the rest stacked in a couple of drawers in the built in hutch ready for the auction. Moved boxes I'm taking to under the dining room table so there's more room to pack more! Bill did his share of necessary work buy laundering the winter king sized bed linens and blankets and packed them up. Whoever buys the bed will get all of the stuff! Besides the usual cleaning chores, I will pack more! Dinner was great last night. Tonight we will finish the chowder. Have a good day! Waving!

Good morning all. A nice looking morning and quite acceptable temperatures for today. It is 50 at 6.30 and will climb up to the mid 60s, but rain is now predicted for this afternoon and our plans for the day include golfing this afternoon - hmmm . . . Guess we wait and see.
Has anyone seen any sign of Marlene on Facebook recently? I know she lives in Iowa and I saw there were tornadoes in that part of the country a couple of days ago. I sure hope she's OK. I miss her and her posts. I ask because I don't use Facebook at all.

Good morning friends.
Ann- I have packed up several large lawn bags of stuff that will go to the Town Wide Yard Sale in June. It does feel good to have some places de-cluttered.
Tasty- I am friends with Marlene on FB but she has not been on since Feb 16. I have messaged her a couple times over the last month but have heard nothing back. I miss her too. And Betsey too.
I am enjoying a Mocha before I get the cracker and cheeses trays ready for my friends granddaughters baby shower. She is due the first part of June. I am watching the Namib Live Web cam (hooked on it) and the Hartmann zebra group that comes in has a new foal. So cute! I love seeing the warthogs roll int he mud. WE call it "Spa Time" LOL Great group of moderators that give yu a lot of information.

Good morning everyone. We had thunderstorms overnight but the sun is shining beautiful this morning. There's more rain coming later though. Hopefully no thunder and lightning while I'm trying to get some sleep.
Everyone seems to be getting through their days well. Mamma, I'm glad to hear about your new table and the delivery man with a good work ethic. You don't see much of that anymore. I know how important it is to have the right table height. What with my wheelchair and trying to eat, the height can make all the difference for me.
I found a wheelchair mount for my camera that had been dis-continued on Amazon and it looks as though the company has stopped making it. A day later I did a new search but all I did was change the order of the words. Up popped a connection to a New York City camera store, B&H, which I think I mentioned before. I have dealt with these people back when I was doing a lot of serious photography and they are fair and back up their goods. Even though the main store is closed for Passover, I was able to place an order online and I hope to get it by later on Thursday. The only problem is that it is coming by FedEx. Holding my breath about that one.
Lori, that was a lot of driving. I would have been hitting the popcorn too.
I'm sorry if I am missing some people but I don't get around the computer is fast as I used to. This dictation drives me a little 🤪 sometimes.
Talk to you later.

Good morning friends.
It appears that 5:50 am is is my new start the day time. I like 6:30 much better. But that's the way the cookie crumbles. We have been out and back, golf cart is plugged into the charger and I have my second cup of coffee at hand. It's Keurig coffee this morning. I love Keurig coffee but it's too expensive to have every day. So I save it for Sundays. Now that I go IN to church I don't want to drink as much coffee in the morning. And this morning Lynda and I are going to coffee and fellowship before service in hopes of getting to know a few more people. We are really hoping that our friend Debbie from the other church isn't upset with us for changing churches. Lynda may go back there from time to time, but I will not. Debbie does know why we left.
I love my new table. It was so nice having supper and not having to bend in half to eat and room to have my place setting near me and not half way across the table. Being as how it is square and not round it does take up a little bit more room, but not enough to be an issue.
No plans for after church. After all I did yesterday my arms and neck need a day of rest. They were quite angry with me last night. I think I'm due for another injection, in both shoulders this time.
My post disappeared so I'm trying to start over.....
Ann, pack, save pack save. Won't you be happy when you are all settled into your new home? :)
Tasty, 64º here at 7:15, heading for 90. The heat is rolling back in here.
Chris, I watch live eagle cams and hummingbird cams in the spring. Fun to see nature reborn.
Birdy, woo hooo, you found your camera mount. So very happy for you too. Amazon to the rescue.
Have a blessed Sunday.

There is a high of 76 with possible rain today. It rained throughout the nite and heavy thunder woke me up a couple times. Happy to be all snug as a bug! I haven't been able to settle on a pizza place that I really like so decided to try a NY pizza for a change of pace. It's been quite good for lunch and I'm sure it'll be supper also. So I've got meals all figured out for the day. I'm planning on a little nap and then back to the computer for the duration. Big hugs!

Hey, everybody. We had a good weekend with DMIL & family. The church picnic we attended was at a retreat/meeting venue that we are using in June for a family reunion, so it was good for all of the local family to be there and check it out. It is out in the country and has two nice large rooms, a kitchen, and two big covered porches with rocking chairs. It's on a pond so the porches look out over the water. I think for the size of our reunion (about 50 people) it will be perfect. We're planning to have the meal catered, and I need to start making brownies and other desserts that I can freeze until the event.
I'm glad we could be there but it was nice to get home too. DH is still napping and I have the 2nd load of laundry going. Our drive down on Friday was probably the best time we've ever made as the traffic was very light, even around Columbia. Today it was another story! Much slower drive and lots of cars and trucks so DH was tired by the time we got here.
Time to go look in the freezer for tomorrow night's dinner -- good to see what everybody is up to.

Good evening, friends. Today was National Blueberry Pie Day---sure would have loved a piece. It's been a busy day, mostly spent in the kitchen. I began making a big pot of steel oats with plenty leftovers for breakfasts this week. Then I made two kale side salads to have alongside dinner this evening. Next, I was planning to make Tammy's chicken pot pie stew, but realized when gathering everything up that I did not have the mixed veggies. Disappointed, as I was looking forward to that, but we'll try again maybe next week. What to make, I wasn't sure. Finally made a recipe from a Southern Living Annual Recipes Cookbook from 1982 called Creamed Chicken Over Confetti Rice Squares. It was pretty good, but still wasn't that chicken pot pie stew I had been craving. In between, I ran the dishwasher and emptied it, did two loads of washing, ironed, biked, and gather indoor trash to go out to the curb later this evening for pickup tomorrow. I don't know what is happening with my post or this computer this evening, but I've lost my post 3 times; luckily, I was able to locate it, but not sure what it's going to look like when I finally hit the reply button. I too miss posts from Marlene and Betsy. Would love to hear from them again and know what they are up to. Ugh, there went my post again---not in the mood to keep having to go find it, so I'm going to say bye until tomorrow. Waving to all! Lori

Good evening. It was been a beautiful day here even thought it was cloudy quite a bit of the time. Spent a lot of time outside and am tired but a good tired. Just wanted to stop by and read what everyone has been up to. It is 7 and dinner is just cooking. Work tomorrow and it will be a bit of a long day with one store a 6 1/2 service order plus another one for an hour. Won't be that bad however except throwing those 24 bottle packs of water stacked 3 high. It is the last one.
Enjoy your evening.

Talk about jumping in with both feet. Lynda and I are a pair to draw to let me tell ya. Thursday we are going to the Methodist women’s group meeting on Thursday at 10:30, bible study Tuesday at 11:30, they eat lunch together and then the Bible study. Actually we may not make it to bible study this week because Lynda has a doctors appointment and I need to have Albert Tire shop get my golf cart tires on ASAP. Then on Sunday morning we volunteered to help with set up and tear down for the pot luck. We have to be at the church around 8:30. Not my shiniest time of the morning. Heheheh The ladies that usually take care of it are gone and one lady said she would do it, but she had no help. So Lynda volunteered us both. She is a go getter and I need someone to poke me with a cattle prod to move. LOL I like doing things like that just not the most self confident person. I am looking forward to taking part in all of it. There are other groups but they will be done for the summer in two weeks. Too bad, I need things to do in the summer. At least I have 12 more weeks of the grief support group. Lynda and I are really enjoying our new church too.
Now I need to make a list of what I will need for my casserole for the pot luck. This week is so full that I'm not sure who I am. I'm not used to having much to do.

Hello Ladies.....I was on U Tube last night....A tornado did hit Harlan Iowa on Friday...that is where Marlene lives. They showed some severe damage to houses and some barns/out buildings that looked to be near town.....Marlene lives on a farm but I have no idea which direction from the storm. I just hope she didn't get hit. The storm was big and nasty as it approached. Doris
We had snow on Saturday....

Good morning. I, too, have been thinking about Marlene. I hope she's okay and we can find out somehow. I worry for those living in the areas with the high storm alerts.
Bet, that sounds like a lot of work coming up for you. I hope you can get some assistance with lifting that water. At least our weather here in the state looks to be getting warmer.
Not a lot going on here today except waiting for package delivery. Troy's wife Monique is stopping by after work for a short visit. That's nice since I have mostly talked with her over the phone.
I am getting anxious for better weather and warmer temperatures. Hopefully, they are on their way.
Have a good and safe day everyone. Talk to you later.
Birdy
