Good morning, folks! Brrr! It's just at the freezing mark out there...some places have a frost freeze...bad for fruit trees. Last year the apple and peach crops were mostly destroyed. Some farms are using windmills to force warm air down onto the surface and other farms are running sprinklers to encase the buds in ice that will actually save them! Temperature is critical...28° will mean a 10% loss, but 24° will lead to a 90% loss! Fingers crossed. Electrician finished his work yesterday, but is coming back to 'clean up'. Plumber is supposed to come today, and we will be talking to him about the ceiling stain. Bill thinks it will just need paint. Time will tell! Chowder hit the spot last night. I don't want to freeze leftovers so we will have the rest on Sunday. Had it with Jacob's Cream Crackers...so good! I'll pull the leftover pizza from last Friday from the freezer to have tonight. Will have with some sort of salad. Got most of the non-fiction & self-help books packed in double plastic grocery bags. Now have to contact the epilepsy foundation for a pick-up. Grocery shopping is the main activity today. List is small. Pulled chicken drums and pork tenderloin from the freezer for meals this week. I am now confident that I will have very little frozen food to take to Baldwin! Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning. It's a frosty one here too Ann. The weather network is showing us to only be at 25 at 6.45. But the sun. Is love,y and bright and the frost should disappear in an hour or so but I guess it will mean a frost delay at the golf course for hubby. By the afternoon it will be in the 50s. Sounds like you have made lots of progress with both packing and your freezer Ann. Have a great day in school Chris. This is the last Friday of the month so that means getting together with friends for breakfast - always a fun time. As soon as I get home from that I'll be getting together with a couple of the ladies here to plan what to do with the gardens here. BBL 😊.

Good rainy morning everyone. Didn’t get here yesterday. They kept me busy. Out for coffee in the morning, lots of yakking. Briefly home, then out for lunch, good food, more yakking. Then DD2 made me a yummy dinner. There were 8 of us. Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Cordon Bleu. She even baked me a Bundt cake, strawberry yogurt. A good day to stay home. Can’t, have to get a few more foods for the rotary food drive tomorrow. The bags seem bigger this time and want to make sure they’re filled. The rest of the day we’ll just be lazing around. I think we’ll have something with eggs tonight, probably omelette. Jan.

A fairly quiet Friday morning for me. DH is working from home and I am finishing up cleaning bathrooms and doing laundry before he drives me to work at 11. He'll pick me up at 5 and we will head down to Summerville to DMIL's. Our weather is a little cooler today but looks like it will be nice and warm there.
Ann, you are really getting it done. Just a few more weeks now!
Chris, hope your day goes well.
Tasty, brrrr! We are cooler but y'all are cold up there!
Jan, what a lovely dinner your DD made for you. I know you enjoyed every bite.

Good morning everyone. I've been busy online searching for some things I can use with my wheelchair for photography. After having a session with PT yesterday, he was determined to search the internet for something that might work for me. I ended up on the same task most of the day and was delighted to find a wheelchair attachment that will hold the camera in front of me. It was something that Amazon had not carried in several years and when I did a search online I discovered the company was not making it. But accidentally I came across the item at B&H Photo in New York City. They must have bought the rest of the inventory. The price was even a little lower than Amazon had sold it for. I have dealt with this store for years when I was doing professional photography so I know the item is good. They are closed for Passover but I am going to put in an order for delivery right after their closure is over. Goody. Now I have something to do this summer.
I also got delivery of my digital binoculars yesterday. The owner's manual is printed in such tiny print I couldn't read it. Luckily the secretary in our office has a copier that allows enlarging so now I have to figure out how to use them. I've got to stop buying toys!
Chris, I had no idea that you were versed in so many different subjects! I'd love to see what kind of lesson plans the teachers leave you.
Yes, indeed, this has been a perilous couple of nights for the fruit trees around here. Some outlining districts got in the High Teens last night. We had a huge Apple loss last year, with some Orchards losing 90% of their crop. What was strange is that some other Orchards not that far away fared better. Frost can be a funny thing with where it ends up. Did anyone see on the news where Mount Washington in New Hampshire had a temperature of 1° 2 nights ago. Of course, that location always has the most extreme weather.
I tried the salt-free seasoning with black pepper, garlic, and lemon on my pureed fish sandwich last night. It was pretty good. Very garlicky if you like that kind of thing. Reading the label on the back, they also mentioned thyme, oregano and some other herbs in the mix, probably in small amounts. It definitely made the fish mush more flavorful.
I have an appointment with my neurosurgeon this afternoon for a follow-up. I am sure I will be told there isn't anything more that can be done for my arms and hands. I just hope this is the end of it for now anyway.
Lori, obviously that brat that your husband had to deal with has had previous experience with people giving him his way. I hope the food dude doesn't have to deal with him again. I wonder what he's like at home?
I had better get moving. I'll talk to you later.

Good morning.
Rough night of sleep so I got up a little later and hit the floor moving. I'ld say running but I don't run anymore. Mary and Emily were waiting for us. Mary said that Emily sat by the gate and when she heard us coming down the path she almost lost her tail it was wagging so hard. LOL Both girls got some running in so they got some exercise. I took the cart this morning so I've gotten none.
My neck is so sore this morning that I really don't want to move much at all today. I do have to change sheets and other than that I have nothing on my to do list. Maybe I'll let Annie loose in the bedroom, I saw some dust bunnies lurking in the corners again. That room is so small that a it's hard getting the dust mop to do a good job or get under the bed.
Ann, you are really getting a lot done for your big move. That is so much work. I don't think I could do that anymore, not without a lot of help anyway. Don't over do it.
Birdy, I'm still praying for a miracle for you. You have the best positive attitude and are an inspiration to all.
Chris have a good day at work today. Be safe.
Tasty, you have a fun day today. Enjoy every minute.
Jan, wow, you did have an enjoyable day yesterday. How wonderful!!
Elza, I hope that your work day goes smoothly.
It was a cooler morning here too, but not cold like y'all. It was 60º when we headed out and the high could be around 82º again with wicked wind once more. Ugh.

Good afternoon, friends. Today is National Pretzel Day.
Debating about going over to Publix this afternoon. I didn't get to making a menu for next week, but I do have a grocery list of items that we ran out of this past week. Also, not sure what dinner is going to be this evening. I do have several possibilities to use leftovers currently in the refrigerator, but I'll let DH make the final choice. Whatever we don't use tonight will be available for a quick warm up tomorrow evening after spending the day with DD and DGD.
Currently sunny and 85*, but we have a little humidity so it's feeling a tad warmer this afternoon. Just finished my hour bike ride and worked up a real sweat out there---need to hop into the shower before I do anything else. waving to all and wishing you a terrific Friday! Lori

Although it wasn't a complete list, I did go over to Publix and pickup what I had on the list. Came home and while we put everything away, got dinner ready. Went with the matzo ball soup and a chicken patty sandwich.
Will try to stop by in the morning before we drive over to see DD and DGD, but if not, I'll try for when we get more in the evening. Wishing everyone a peaceful evening. Lori

Always a good time when I get together with this group for breakfast. First time I'd seen a couple of them in 3 months so lots of catching up. Then I met up with the gardeners. Made our decisions about what to do and then went to look at possible shrubs. So exactly what we wanted so bought them and one of the husband's who enjoys gardening (either that or he does what his wife tells him!) will plant them tomorrow. It is too early to buy the other stuff yet so it can wait for a while until the weather warms up. This afternoon I spent on the laptop trying to get some better organisation for my recipes. This is a task that will take a lot of work and time but I think it will be time well spent. Supper tonight was some leftover meatloaf 😋, potato salad and a green salad. Have a good night.
