**Good morning! It's much cooler, near freezing this morning. Pink moon is shinning into my kitchen. Supper last night was easy and delicious. I made smashed potatoes that I then sautéed in garlic oil at supper time. I just needed to heat and slice the ham. Dipped pieces into Fisher & Wieser Peach Sriracha Mustard Sauce...yum and not too spicy. Tonight we are having TOH's "Tasty Onion Chicken" www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/tasty-onion-chicken/ with 2x baked mashed potatoes and harvest casserole that I took from the freezer. Electrician is coming this morning to wire for whole house detectors. It will be a two day job. I will be working on more sorting and packing. I can see a small dent in that!! Enjoy your day! Waving!

Good morning friends.
Ann- Good to hear the "piles" are coming down. I did smashed potatoes on Friday and we fried the leftovers with Sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast on Sunday. Yum!
Nothing much planned for today. I did finish a baby quilt yesterday and gave it to my DDIL as she has a baby shower to go to later this week.
Looks like I will be in Fairmont WV again in May (4 days) and then in Atlanta GA in June (5 days) with the Skills USA students.

Good morning everyone ! I have creamed chicken staying warm in teh roaster, and the pea salad is chilling. I made the lemon bars yesterday, so finally have some time to post. I have been reading though.
Tasty, enjoy your sparkling clean and newly painted bedroom! We live in a pre fab house, so all the walls are that vinyl wallpaper. No painting needed. Luckily I do like the faint design on the paper. Glad the eye doctor appointment went well.
Bet, I'm sure it feels good to be able to stay home and get caught up on things.
Mamma, so glad you enjoyed the new church you visited. Signing up for the grief support was a good move.
Ann, when you posted the temperature of 59 yesterday, I glanced at my weatherbug and it said 61, so we were almost the same.
Birdy, so nice that you have a table of your very own with a view! Happy for you.
So, Chris, there will be some traveling in your future! Glad you scored on the new summer duds!
After I deliver today's meal I am coming back home to get stuff done. I have some mending for the shop, need to strip the bed and wash sheets-all other laundry is done. My car is STILL in the shop! Grr... grateful for our truck.
I am hoping to have enough creamed chicken to serve for our supper tonight. If not, I have sirloin steak thawed, and I bought a pork tenderloin to have this week.
This Sunday at church is our monthly lunch. The home Bible study group whose turn it is to cook and serve is a new and tiny group-maybe 4 people so they asked for help. She had no idea what to serve, so DH offered to help out, and a couple of our members will help serve. DH is going to smoke 4 briskets, and we will serve bbq sandwiches. I pulled a recipe for Texas tornado cake that I plan on making for dessert.
Yesterday I did my weekly grocery shopping trip, and then went to the shop. I wanted to go to the storage sheds and take inventory. then I met with Crystal to plan a parking lot sale of furniture. We have been given lots of furniture lately and need to get it sold! There is no room in the shop right now. We will be doing this May 2-4.
Waving to each and everyone! Have an awesome day!

A quick good morning. Ann, that Sriracha mustard Sauce sounds yummy. Throughout the years, you’ve mentioned other brands of sauces and such that I’ve never heard of. So many choices, I guess all of them can’t make it to the Canadian west coast. Chris, at first I thought that you had a couple little vacations planned. Haha. Not with teenagers, I’m sure. Tammy, Hi, I keep missing your posts, good to get a chance to ‘see’ you. When you make these meals each week ( they all sound absolutely delicious by the way) how many are you cooking for? You sure do manage to keep yourself busy with cooking for others and I’m sure they appreciate it. I would. Have to make that Costco run, then back home for the day, I hope. Two appointments tomorrow so may not make it here then. Simple supper tonight. Pan fried cod, steamed new potatoes and Harvard Beets. Tomorrow, because of appointment rather late in the day, DH wants waffles. Easy Peasy! Jan

Good morning. My rude bladder woke me up too early this morning. So after one cup of coffee Mandy and I headed out early. It was already 70º at 6. Really nice morning so I watered the flowers before the heat moved in. I'm not sure how long the geraniums will last in the heat, but they are still looking good.
Since I didn't do anything this weekend I need to get some cleaning done. That is one of the things we talked about yesterday. No energy, no will to do things, and I don't care. Both ladies were concerned that I have no one that can check on me throughout the day. I have no neighbors and no one that cares around here. I am literally all alone. If I fell I'ld lay for days. And now my one and only neighbor, Mike and Patty, that are usually here in the summer, are going to California and wait for the first great grand-baby to be born. They will be gone all summer. And Jill doesn't leave her house to see the light of day anymore. She is totally out of touch with reality now. I am praying to make some friends at my new church by taking part in some of the activities.
Ann, you keep going like the energizer bunny. I wish I had your energy and drive. Good job!!!
Chris is this assignment a teaching job?
Tam, I need to stop reading your posts. You make me feel like a lazy sloth. hehehe My goodness, can you bottle some of that energy and send it to me???
I'm thinking a salad for lunch and a burger with cooked carrots for supper. Boring meals, just like my life. LOL
Now I'll head to the kitchen and get my iced tea made and ready for the day. Lipton decaff, diet, lemon flavored, iced tea is the only tea that I will drink. And in the summer I drink quite a bit of that and water. Glug glug.

Jan, you and I bumped into each other at the door. I hope I didn't hurt you. Your trip to Costco had me remember I need to go to Sams and pick up my membership card. They no longer mail it to you, you have to go to the service desk and pick it up. I need the verification letter and my drivers license too. Such a pain. YUMMM, I like the sounds of your supper.

Good morning and hello to one and all! Today we celebrate National Cherry Cheesecake Day, National English Muffin Day, and National Picnic Day.
Matzo Ball Soup was great last night. Eating a bowl (DH had three bowls) brought back memories of vacationing on Collins Ave., Miami Beach when I was young. We ate daily at The Rascal House and if it was lunch or dinner, I would always have a bowl of their Matzo Ball Soup. As you might imagine, DH declared it a keeper. Going to take a small bowl to DD this weekend and I guess DH and I will fight over the one bowl left here.
Since we dropped down to 58* this morning, I baked a batch of cookies for DH. I had 1/2 bag each of Cinnamon Chips (Hershey) and Mini Chocolate Chips (Toll House). I combined both chips, tossed in some pecans, and followed the recipe on the back of the chocolate chips. Pretty good. Afterwards I made a side salad for each of us to go along with our dinner this evening--Zucchini Meatballs (new recipe I'm trying) and Spanish Rice (pulled from the freezer).
Ann, the chicken you are having for dinner, sounds very familiar. If not that recipe, I know I've made something similar. Praying the electrician does a good job that you are satisfied with and that he doesn't run into any hiccups as he works.
Chris, will the time you spend in WV and in Ga be assisting the drone club that you recently helped with the judging? Will Dan be able to join you or would be prefer staying home with DS and family?
Tammy, what a tasty meal you'll be delivering today. Hope that upon your return home you'll accomplish all that you need/want to. How nice that both you and DH is able to help with the church dinner on Sunday. Good luck with your parking lot furniture sale.
Well, it's starting to warm up today, so I'm going to cut this short for now and head out on my bike ride. Waving. Lori

Good morning. I managed to get an aide to get me up and ready before 7:00 this morning. So I got down to the cafeteria room about 7:15 and managed to sit for a good hour and a half before anyone was in the kitchen. At least I got my coffee but then the rest of the breakfast didn't show up until quarter to 9:00. Thank heaven for the ability to bird watch to pass the time. They are seriously understaffed here at the moment. Mamma, have you considered getting one of those emergency transmitters that you wear around your neck. If you should fall you'd be able to get help. At the very least, it should help to give you some peace of mind. Yesterday, I had a visit outside my window from the pair of geese who just hatched their goslings, the babies still in their yellow fuzz. I warned a couple aides who live in the city and are unfamiliar with wild animals not to approach them unless they wanted to get chased and nipped by the parents. LOL! I ordered a three-pack of McCormick seasonings that are salt free. I figured it would be something to add to my pureed food to kick it up a notch. They sound like they'd be good for the veggies in particular. I got them from Amazon at www.amazon.com/dp/B0C41RGGYY/ref=ox_ya_os_product I'll let you know how they work out. It is supposed to be getting warmer this week. I think we'll be getting rain overnight tonight but all in all not a bad end April, especially since we saw a couple snowflakes yesterday. Have a good one everybody. Birdy

Mamma- They are both trips with students to different events. The first to WV is the DragonFly drone competition I did last year, and the second is Skills USA competition that several of the students from a couple different programs at the tech center qualified for. They need a female chaperone so "tag,I'm it" LOL They pay me well and pay all my expenses so I can't complain. I am right next to the Georgia Aquarium while in Atlanta so I plan on a day trip there while the students are competing. As this is different than the drone competition and I don't have anything to do just be at the hotel while students are there.

Sorry about the Amazon link. For some reason, no matter what I do I can't get it to work.

Space X has scheduled a falcon 9 lunch from the Cape for today; liftoff is for 6:17pm. Unfortunately, I just had to go out on the driveway and inform a few people that it was too early to set up their lawn chairs to view, as DH will need to pull into the driveway after work. I told them that there was no need to take their lawn chairs back home, just fold them up and place them on my front porch. I explained DH should be home by 2, so if they'd like to come back any time after he gets here, they are welcome to set up once again. One sweet older man said he'd be back at 2:01---LOL! Hopefully the weather won't be cloudy by then and everyone will be able to enjoy the sight.
Birdy, I too will be anxious to hear how you like your no salt spices. I have used Mrs. Dash in the past and haven't been too pleased.
Chris, glad to read that Dan is currently doing well with his meds.
mamma, is your decaf, diet Lipton, lemon flavored tea a powder that you mix with water or is it a ready-made iced tea? I have to have decaf anything otherwise my heart will be jumping all over the place, so I mainly drink water. I have also bought many different decaf tea bags for hot tea, as well as decaf hot chocolate, and even flavored sparkling water but I really miss the iced tea. I haven't had any in many, many years and that just sounds so refreshing---the hot weather is upon us, and it would be nice to be able to drink something different.
I have the load of whites that I need to fold and put away, so once again I am off of here. Waving. Lori

I'm ahead of myself for today's meals. DD gets a bundle of meat every month or so and shared the roast beef with me. This one was precooked and frozen in gravy. Last time I had one it was very tender and delicious. It's supposed to be cooked while still frozen so I'll be putting it in to roast about mid-afternoon and also do a packet of potatoes and onions at the same time. Luckily, since I was low on Heinz 57 and A1 Sauce I already replenished my suppy. Love the two of them for beef and sometimes french fry dipping. One or the other or both mixed together even. Hubby always said it was an insult to the cook. Thanks, Elza, for info on Arby's roast beef. I was hoping you'd say that. Tammy, BBQ Briscut sandwiches sound so good. If I can save out some of my roast beef, I think I'll add BBQ sauce for sandwiches later. Hi Jan! Sweet dreams to all.
