Good morning! It's cloudy and 51° with rain on the way. Yesterday's temp got up to 62°...WOW! Trees are flowering and bugs are flying in the sun! Our robins are very vocal in the wee hours of dawn. Ah, love this time of year. Semi-homemade pizza was yummy last night. Put the leftovers in the freezer for next week. Tonight we are having scampi, noodles, and steamed broccoli. Plans for today are the usual packing and sorting activities. The guy from Home Depot has already measured the windows at our apartment, and I got an email from Home Depot that my window treatments are ready. We just have to go to HD in Londonderry to pay for them and schedule installation next month. Hope my neighbor will visit today with her friends to look and buy some more stuff! Enjoy your day! Waving!

Good morning. A cool and cloudy start here, maybe even some rain before the sun shows up then we should have a few dry days altho I don't see much heat for the next week. My early morning walk is done, the sheets are almost ready to go back on the bed and I've had breakfast - just finishing up my coffee. Maybe grocery shopping will be next. Have a great day.

Good morning.
This morning I was going to make some cookies but it's already warming up too quickly, so scratch that idea. I'll wait now until the later part of next week, when prediction has it at mid 80's for the high. I'm not out, just trying to be more prepared. I'll just fry the bacon that I keep forgetting to do.
Today my baby is 42 years old. Oh my how do we age so quickly? Normally he does nothing for his birthday he just tries to avoid it. LOL But this year he has some fun things planned. I hope he has a fabulous day.
Unlike Lincoln, I have nothing fun planned, just doing a load of laundry so i have jammies for tonight. Night sweats are a pain in the rear.
Breaded fish patty, baked potato and cole slaw for lunch and a sandwich of sorts for supper. Too hot to have anything big for supper these days.
Ann, you have so much going on now, the excitement and work. I am excited for you to be in your new home. Better keep an eye on your freezer, I do love pizza. hehehe
Tasty, I may just join your at the grocery store. I need to get out and do something for a change. I'm so bored that I'll loose my mind, what little I have left. :)

Good day everyone. It looks like we're headed for a little rain but otherwise it's been a nice day.
Elaine, I'm sorry to hear you got bad news from the doctor. Never a good thing to have happen. Hope all goes well.
Not too much going on here today. I have been watching The Birds across the street in the woods and playing around with some items I bought from Amazon. Other than that. Not much to mention.
Bet, I'm glad you're getting some time off. You could use it. They were showing a bear in someone's yard in the Southeastern Adirondacks so I guess it's time to take your feeders down.
Have a good day everybody. I'll talk to you later.
Birdy

Here I sit with my Saturday chores done and ready to settle in. Elaine, I'm sorry you had bad experiences at the doctors. I had a bad experience with my first and only heart test on the treadmill. He was purposely aggravating all through it until I said, STop it! You're going to ruin this test for me! So, he let up a little but was still very disagreeable. Looking back now I think he wanted to egg me on to see what would happen when I was distressed. I reported him to my doctor who just shrugged it off. It was a taste of how I was going to have to be very firm in advocating for my Hubby. Supper tonite will be a toasted sesame bagel with butter and cream cheese. BBQ potato chips on the side. Looks like rain so an especially cozy afternoon of computer fun. Hugs

Good day everyone. Firstly, Elaine, oh how I hope the doctors can figure out a plan to set you on the path to better health. That has to be worrisome. Ann, your days are going to get busier as the time goes on. And just wait until you’re moved in! Busy, busy, weeks ahead. Tasty, we started out just above freezing this morning, but should warm up to a high of 49*F. Got bedding done this morning too, and back on bed. Mamma, Happy Birthday to your ‘baby’. My baby will be turning 53 in October, her sister 55, also in October. Yikes, how time does fly. Birdy, you’re so lucky to have birds to watch. I miss them here. Subdivision we now live in is too new and bare. In our house where we lived for over 42 years, loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds. Don’t think we had the variety that you do though. Did get to the book sale yesterday. A fundraiser for our symphony orchestra, held twice a year. Huge. Found two John Sandford books, both of the Lucas Davenport series. Did the bedding, and made a macaroni salad for supper. Still haven’t figured out what we’re having with it. Something simple. Well, tea break is over (have one cup of coffee, then switch to tea for rest of day, unless we go out, then it’s coffee). Jan

This is a much more relaxing Saturday than last week's, which I needed after a very busy workday yesterday. The morning was not bad but the afternoon was nonstop, one customer after another. Our manager bought lunch for us, which we ate when we could on the teller line. The good thing about a day like that is, it flies by! I was on the sofa when I got home and then early to bed -- my feet were so tired and sore.
I had a good sleep, and then the only thing on our schedule today was lunch with a friend at the new Indian restaurant in Greenville that we went to a month or so ago. Oh my goodness, it was delicious. I was glad we got to visit with him today since next month he is going back to India for the summer.
Now I've got laundry going and just need to work on music for tomorrow. We have a couple of guest musicians who will be there and our music minister gave me multiple new arrangements to play for accompaniments. It's fun but it is definitely keeping me on my toes trying to get it all ready.
Ann, we are expecting rain tonight and tomorrow and temps will drop from the 80s to the 60s! Quite a change. It will be hot again soon enough, though.
Tasty, I have sheets in the wash right now. Somehow there is always laundry!
Mamma, your lunch sounds good. Our local Scots-Irish pub has good fish & chips -- might have to go there for lunch tomorrow. We'll see.
Birdy, sounds like a nice quiet day for you. Glad to hear that the meds are helping and that the staff is following the doctor's orders.
Jan, y'all really are chilly! I do love a book sale. Glad you found something good.
Helen, you are so right, we have to be our own advocates when it comes to health care. I am grateful for our PCP who is a good listener and quickly recommended another dr. when my Ob/Gyn was not sympathetic and didn't return phone calls.
I saw on FB that today's date 04/20/2024 is the same backwards and forwards so Happy Palindrome Day!

Good afternoon. I am so sick of listening to my generator run again. We had a quick storm pass through with some pretty good winds and hard rain for about 15 minutes. This is getting expensive. Just paid my propane bill for the generator for the past month or so and it was $150. That is on top of a $125 electric bill for about the same time period.
Yesterday was a long work day but it went well. I didn't get to the last store however. It was 4 o'clock when I drove by the last store and I just waved as I went buy. I just couldn't face another 1 1/2 hour more of work with still 20 minute dive to get home. It was another 8 hour day with the driving. There for I started my long weekend a little late today. Had to go to the store I didn't do yesterday. As usual Murphy's Law. This town has the worst cell service. I had none. Fortunately the 2 jobs I had there I have done many times so know what to do. Lots of pictures to remember but I just took them on my phone and when I got home and had service had to fill out all of the reports. Not fun.
I am finally having my Jambalaya for dinner tonight. I decided to create a recipe from a partial memory of one I used to make years ago and lost the recipe. I know I used some different ingredients that I had never heard of at that time but is sure tastes good. That is about all I have done since I got home except some research looking for information on my 4 wheeler that I started before I left for work this morning. Finally found a service manual for it so DS can look at that and maybe figure out how to fix the problem. Have also reading a number of forums on the subject. Haven't touched my to do list today. Got 3 more days before I have to go back to work.
Still to wet to go outside and do anything. It has been partly sunny but the wind is still cold. Not to be real warm for the next 3 days and not a lot of sun but Wednesday the rain moves back in.
Ann, did your neighbor come to day with friends to maybe buy more things? I noticed this afternoon that my Forsythia is starting to bloom. Daffodils are breaking ground even right next to piles of snow. There is hope that spring is coming. Scampi sounds good. I will be adding shrimp to the Jambalaya tonight and working on a stir fry with broccoli for tomorrow night.
Tasty, I skipped grocery shopping. Nothing a needed was on sale and nothing else that I couldn't live without. It seems that laundry is on the list for a lot today. On my list but no momentum toward doing it.
Mamma, don't discuss old. My baby just turned 54 and my oldest is 59. Your big meal for the day sounds good. I am very fortunate. My wall oven doesn't seem to heat up my house so I bake even in the hottest days in the summer. Of course I never see temperatures as high as you do.
Wow, power is back on and only off for little over an hour.
Birdy, yes my feeders are empty but no down yet. I need to start thinking about humming birds. I read they are moving closer. Glad the correct med is helping.
Helen, love your dinner. Sounds like mine lately.
Jan, glad you were able to find parking and made it to the book sale and found some books to your liking.
Elza, I am sure you slept well after your workout yesterday. Nice of your boss to buy lunch.
Well the wind is picking up again. Well see how long the power lasts.
Enjoy your evening.
Bet

Hello friends, Not much going on here. I served the ladies brunch at church. That went well. I made the casseroles last night so just had to bake them this morning. I glazed the little mini pound cakes, another helper put together the fruity slaw. Just before we served, I heated the frozen sausages. I dropped one on the stove top, so set it aside to eat myself. I generally am not a fan of sausage but these were good! I forget the brand. They were maple flavored link sausages. They were already cooked, You just place in the skillet with a couple tablespoons of water and cook covered 5 minutes, then uncover and heat until brown. I bought them at Walmart. I don't usually shop there, so will look for them at other stores first, I think DH would enjoy them. I got lots of compliments on the breakfast. Everyone loved the French Toast casserole with blueberry syrup.
Left there, then went to work. It seemed slow to me, but maybe the morning was busy-we did about $320.00 today.
When I got home I laid down. I did not sleep well last night so was feeling very tired. I wasn't sure about supper. I remembered I had bought a frozen casserole, ham & cheese. I thought "That's the ticket". When I looked for it in all the freezers, I could not find it. The sirloin steak I took out of the freezer yesterday and put in the fridge was still frozen solid! So, since DH ate lunch at the Care center-another meal of brats and sauerkraut-we just took the easy out of ham salad sandwiches. He is not picky thank goodness.
The rain started about 2, so far it is just a drizzle. Around midnight it is supposed to be really bad for a couple hours. Maybe not much sleep for me again tonight, lol. Oh well, I can always nap I guess, Sunday afternoon.
Waving to all!!!!
