Morning! It's another cloudy but warm (46°) start to the day. I forgot to start the dishwasher last night so it's humming away now. Leftover stir-fry was yummy along with egg rolls. I made another small batch of nasal clearing hot mustard to use on them. Tonight we are having semi-homemade pizza...pub pizza, peppers & onions, pepperoni, and cheese. I'll make a side salad, too. We will grocery shop this morning. Once that is put away and I've prepped the produce, I will go back to sorting and packing. Enjoy your morning! Waving!

Good morning friends.
Ann- We had rain most of yesterday and it is raining just bit this morning. Supposed to get sunny later today and into the low 60's. Sure hope so. I love that nasal cleaning hot mustard on an egg roll. Yum!
Well I did not win anything last night but my DDIL won a basket from the raffle. She won a spa basket so she gets a one hour message and some other stuff. The goal was $500 for the local swim team. They raised over $6000!
Well for some reason my computer is acting up! Keeps skipping all over the place. DAN!!!!!!

Good morning. It is 38°here again this morning and overcast. We are suppose to get into the 50's today but no sun. Right now it is down right raw out there. We ended up with .22" of rain yesterday. Now we are to have 4 dry days but still very little sun. If work goes well today I am planning on 4 days off. I may have to go do a quick job tomorrow morning if I am dragging too bad to stop at my last store on the way home. I did well on my list yesterday. 9 our of 15 things done but I have since added 3 more things so it is a never ending battle.
Ann, happy shopping.
Chris, hope Dan is up soon and able to fix you computer.
Have a great day.
Bet

Good morning everyone. Sorry I haven’t been here for a few days. Haven’t had much of a chance to read either. Will try to catch up later. Plan on going to a book sale this afternoon. On for 2 weeks and tomorrow is the last day. Hope there’s parking close by, or we’ll just have to drive by. Never missed it before, we’ll see what happens today. Maybe a new normal for me? Salmon for supper tonight. We now have cod in the freezer too, so we can alternate the fish when we feel like having it. Usually at least once a week. I have to tell you. I won’t cook fish. Can’t stand the smell. Have candles and fans going when DH is cooking it. Have no problem eating it though. lol. Hope to get back later. Jan.

Good morning.
This morning it was a pleasant 64º so Mandy and I walked again. In fact we walked further today. On the way home Mandy did another "job" so I had to walk to a doggie dump box. We need more walking so that was okay to get more steps. Since we were early to the pet area no one else was there.
This morning I will go and check to see if the gentleman found good used tires for me or if I will have to bite the bullet and have him order new tires for the golf cart. I'll be changing and washing sheets after I finish a cup of coffee. No work until I've had coffee.
Bright sunshine and 94º for today. But so far the doors and windows are open.
Thanks for the help with the hot dogs. There are places that carry Boars head meats but not the hot dogs. I've asked all over and there are no skin on hot dogs anywhere. Last night I choked down one of the pre-chewed hot dogs but tossed the other one. I just could not eat it. I'll see if Jill wants the other 6 in the freezer. I'll never eat them, so either she wants them or I'll toss them. Oh well, I really don't need to have hot dogs. There are healthier eating foods.
After reading, now I'm hungry for pizza and spaghetti. When Mark was working, Fridays he worked late so we always had either pizza or taco's. I could make that ahead and finish when he got home. Maybe I could do that again, at least I would have one day meal planned. hehehe There is one container of spaghetti sauce left in the freezer so I think spaghetti will be my choice for either lunch or supper. A sandwich for the other meal.

Good morning. Very dull but it's dry and chilly. It just about 11 am and still in the 40s. The forecast is for rain to start soon - it is what it is and I can't change it so no point complaining about it. We got out for breakfast this morning. Our favourite place in town for breakfast has re-opened after closing for the winter - so good, but needless to say the prices have gone up. That done, hubby need some more painting supplies so we stopped on the way home. Now he's doing more in the bedroom, the accent wall is done and all the trim is done. Hoping one coat will work for the rest of the walls as the colour is very similar to what is already there. While he's painting, I'm doing some basic housework, not my favourite thing to do but every so often I have to give in and get it done. Need to come up with a supper plan yet. Happy sorting and packing Ann, it seems like a never-ending job. What a great success for your local swim team Chris 👏. Hope work goes well today Bet and then enjoy 4 days off 😀. Hope you can find somewhere close to the booksale for parking Jan - what kind of books do you like? Would be nice if you could get good used tires mamma. Haven’t eaten a hotdog in I'm sure 10 years and I certainly haven't bought any to cook at home in 40+ years - they are not my favourite thing by any means! Time to get back to work here - waving to everyone.

Good morning to one and all! Today is National Rice Ball Day, National Garlic Day, and National Amaretto Day. I will be making some homemade Bar-B-Q sauce to mix with the frozen pulled pork I pulled from the freezer last night, so most likely I'll be adding garlic (fresh or powder) into it.
I had a good night of sleep and even slept in an extra hour, not getting up until just after 6 this morning. Although it felt nice, I now feel like I'm behind schedule. Have been trying to catch up after my leg squeeze---two loads of laundry washed and dried, went through the grocery store sale papers, and have also begun working on a menu for next week. Need to empty the dishwasher from last night, make myself something to eat for breakfast/lunch, and then pedal an hour. Probably going to save the grocery shopping for tomorrow morning.
Ann, stir-fry sounds good to me, esp. since my GF sent me a copy of a new one with chicken. Thinking I might have to add that to next week's menu, but not the nasal clearing hot mustard, sorry.
Chris, sorry you weren't the lucky one to win the raffle basket last night, but hey, you kept it in the family; I'm sure DDIL will enjoy the spa package. Nice amount of $$$ collected for your local swim team.
Bet, I'd gladly take any amount of rain here we could get. Heard last night that in the past three weeks, in our county, we have gotten less than 1/4-inch of rain. Forecasters are concerned; our temperatures are running higher than they should be at this time of year and as of right now, it looks like a possible hotter and drier summer, a repeat of last summer they say. Sadly, a scan of the lawns in so many of the neighborhoods around us are looking extremely stressed. Hope you have a good day at work.
Jan, hope you are able to stop and shop at your local book sale this afternoon. I am like you, can't stand the smell of seafood! I guess that is one reason why we don't eat much of it here, sorry, as I refuse to cook it inside! Ugh--I feel the smell gets into everything! I too have the candles going, and overhead fans up on high even when DH cooks fish out on the grill and brings it indoors for our meal. A few weeks ago, when he did this, I mentioned that now we should consider having dinner out on the lanai and keep the smell outdoors. He looked like I was dropped on my head---the smell does not seem to bother him like it does me.
Need to get going. It has taken me a while to finish this as I've had several phone calls. Wishing everyone a beautiful day. Lori

My hubby is like you and Jan, Lori and cannot stand the smell of fish. We have been known to leave a restaurant where he finds the smell overwhelming. I enjoy some fish, but rarely cook it at home, altho haddock and fries does show up here every so often and that he does eat. His mother never served fish either!

Happy Friday! We're back much cooler at 65 and looks like that is the high for the day. Hope it's a good day for you, Birdy. Fingers crossed that you're now on correct medicine and will benefit from it. Bet, what a trying week for you. Sometimes the only thing you can do is walk away, take a deep breath, and carry on. One thing is for sure, you are not afraid of hard work. Ann, I don't envy the amount of work you have ahead of you but you have made great progress so far. Chris, you and Dan have made a sensible decision to stay in your house. You take very good care of him! Jan, hope you were able to visit the library with no problem. I love a library visit, also. Mamma, funny how people are different. I do not like the snap when you bite through a hot dog with skin. Tasty, it's great that you can settle back into your favorite restaurants. Expensive everywhere, isn't it. Elaine, hope all was good at the doctor. Nothing feels better than having that visit out of the way for another few months. Well, Lori, I wish you rain and lots of it. I love a rainy day, as you know. Supper tonite will be shrimp with cocktail sauce and roasted potato quarters. Yum! Sweet dreams

Hello, it was warm playing shuffleboard this morning. We also ran to the grocery store as coffee is on sale this week, plus dh doesn't feel like making ice so we bought some. Didn't hear good news at kidney Dr. They will be doing lab again in a month. I am very anemic. If it goes any lower she wants me to do injections.3 months ago hemoglobin was 10.4 and yesterday she said it was 10. They don't want it at 10 or below.
At the pulm8nary function test the guy was a jerk. I couldn't do this one test and he opened the door and told me we are done.
I am making lasagna for supper tonight. I will make it out in the Arizona room.
Time for Down and Dirty UNO.
Elaine
