Freeze before Seal-pippin
When freezing raw meat, portion it out on a rimmed cookie sheet lined with parchment paper...don't let one piece touch another. Freeze until hard frozen. It can be put into zip lock freezer bags for short term use or into Food Saver bags for longer term storage. This is especially good for Food Saver bags...if raw meat touches the top edge of the bag, it will not seal. It also cuts thawing time and you don't have to thaw a whole package for a small amount. ALWAYS label and date package.....Bic felt tip works well and do it before you put food in package.
