Hamburger Steak with Onion and Mushroom Gravy-Tammy
2 bread slices 1 lb ground round 1 large egg, lightly beaten 2 garlic cloves, minced 1/2 t. salt 1/2 t. black pepper 1.2 oz brown gravy mix 1 T. oil 8 oz package mushrooms 1 medium sweet onion, halved and thinly sliced Process bread in a food processor for 10 seconds. Place in a bowl. Add meat with next 4. Mix well. Shape into 4 patties. Whisk together gravy mix with 1 1/2 c. water. Brown meat in oil in a skillet on each side. Remove from skillet. Add mushrooms and onion. Cook about 6 minutes. Add gravy to pan. Add meat back to pan. Cover, turn heat to low and simmer about 8 minutes. The only changes I made to this was to use pork gravy mix-it's all I had. (I am pretty sure I bought brown gravy mix but put it away and now can't find it! I am certain this happens to no one else! lol) Also, I used some garlic powder not fresh garlic since DH is not a garlic fan.
