Crockpot Chicken and Noodles:-sara
4 boneless , skinless chicken breasts.
2 cans of Cream of chicken soup
1 stick of real butter
2 15 oz. cans of chicken broth
24 oz. package of reames frozen noodles.
Cook the first 4 ingredients in crockpot on low for 6-7 hours. Take chicken out of the crockpot and shred. Add noodles to the broth and put chicken back in and cook on low for 2 hours-- be sure to stir a few times.
Here are my adjustments to the above recipe:
I use 2 boneless and skinless chicken breasts as I find this is enough meat for me.
I still use 2 cans of cream of chicken soup even though I'am cutting the recipe down.
I stick of butter
I use a box of chicken stock instead of the cans of chicken broth. I think the box is 30 ounces or close to that.
I use a 12 oz. bag of Reames frozen noodles.
This will make a big pot of noodles even with my adjustments. The first time I followed the original recipe and had noodles to share with an army. I throw the butter in the crockpot on high and let it melt and than mix in the soup and chicken stock and than put the chicken breasts in. I cook it on high the first hour and than turn to low for 5-6 hours. I think the noodles only take about an hour but have cooked them a lot longer if I'am busy. It is so tasty and good, and easy as once you put it together you don't have to watch it. Also I have went a head and cooked the 4 chicken breast in my adjusted recipe and use two of them for chicken salad as they have a wonderful flavor. Remember it all depends on how much chicken you want in the noodles. I hope this is clear as I couldn't make it shorter -- it really is an easy recipe. If there are any questions please feel free to ask me. Enjoy!!
