Strawberry Fudge Balls-Tammy
(truffles)
1 c. whole almonds 8 oz cream cheese, softened 1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips, melted 3/4 c. vanilla wafer crumbs 1/4 strawberry preserves
Preheat oven to 350. Place almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes. Cool. Chop finely. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add melted chocolate. Beat until smooth. Add crumbs and preserves. Mix well. Cover and chill for 1 hour. Form into small balls, then roll in chopped nuts. Store in an air tight container in refrigerator.
I got about 24 balls.
